The service staff carried trays of red wine and cocktails as they weaved through the crowd.

Every so often, a guest would pick up a drink for a taste.

At the end of the event hall, there was an elevated square stage around twenty metres square wide.

The moment Bai Jingrou stepped into the venue, she had been seeking her target.

As expected, she found a middle-aged man dressed in a black suit. She immediately approached him. “Hello. May I know if you are CEO Yi, Yi Jinbin?”

“I am.” Yi Jinbin sized her up in confusion. “You are?”

“I am ‘Xing Feng’ Company’s project manager, Bai Jingrou. I’m representing my company to attend this event.” She stretched her hand out. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“From what I know, ‘Xing Feng’ is a fashion company. We haven’t invited anyone from your company.” Yi Jinbin did not shake her hand.

“It’s like this.” Bai Jingrou smiled and said, “Although you haven’t invited us, my brother is a top player in the game that your company runs. He owns two gaming accounts and obtained two invitation cards. Thus, I followed him here.”

Yi Jinbin’s expression was stony as he responded shortly. “I’m not open to a discussion on this issue.” The director herself had stated earlier that their company was not available for sale.

“CEO Yi, you haven’t listened to our offer… my company is offering a very generous sum.”

“Miss Bai, from what I know, ‘Xing Feng’ Fashion Company isn’t making as much profit as our Jiao Yang Company is. What are you guys going to rely on to purchase our company?” Yi Jinbin’s expression was filled with disdain.
