18. Silent Words

Rohan said, "Don't ask anything now Raina. If you won't do it Adhiraj will burn me alive along with you and Jatin."

Raina didn't say anything realising the demand of situation.

"Sir, let me just get the documents get transferred in the pendrive." , Rohan nodded and she moved to her assigned computer .

When they were in elevator, she couldn't help but ask, "Sir, I had given the files to Jatin and he was going to do this task. So what happened now??"

Elevator opened with a ding sound, they walked towards the CEO's cabin.

Rohan looked at her and said, "He is saying that you didn't give him one file.."

Raina looked at him shocked, but nonetheless covered her expressions. They were standing outside of Adhiraj's cabin.

Raina quickly said, "Sir..You go first, I will follow you. "

Rohan looked at her and laughed, "Why are you scared from him.?"

She didn't answered but looked away. It made him chuckle once again as he turned the door knob to enter.

Inside the cabin, Adhiraj was working on the same file while Jatin was standing near his table with his head ducked down.

Good luck for him, the meeting got postponed for 20 minutes as the opposite team were stucked in a traffic and this much time was more than necessary for him to complete the work.

His attention get caught by the opening of door and a chuckle. No doubt it was his friend, only he could enter without asking for his permission.

Adhiraj looked at him but found someone behind him . He narrowed his eyes when he saw a yellow coloured fabric.

The person step aside revealing herself. Adhiraj's gaze was stucked on her face.

Kohl filled eyes with winged eyeliner, loose strands of hair falling on her face, light pink colour on her lips and open hair were providing her an ethereal look.

His gaze travelled down towards her neck that's when he snapped out of his thought. He closed his eyes and shook his head.

'What the hell I was thinking?' , he thought .

"Adhiraj..!!", Rohan called him. He looked up with a blank face.

He said, "I have called Raina here, now she can do her work in the meeting."

"No need. I am preparing the file myself." , Adhiraj answered her coldly.

Raina jumped in the conversation, "Sir. But I have prepared it already. Even I have downloaded it in this pendrive."

Adhiraj looked at her, "So Ms. Raina. Why didn't you give it to Jatin."

She gasped and looked at Jatin, "I did sir.."

"Jatin... I gave all the 6 files to you that day " , she said to him.

Jatin looked at her flabbergasted and stammered, "Ummm... N..No Raina , you didn't otherwise I would have that.. It's your mistake, you should have been conscious about your work."

This angered Raina.

"Really?? I am remembering so far, you are the one who checked each and every file saying that I am a newcomer so I am bound to do the mistakes. " , Raina said quoting the last sentence in air.

"Weren't you conscious on your work then" , she spat on his face.

She turned to Adhiraj, "Sir.. I am ready for the meeting.. I remember every point and I have the file stored in my pendrive... If you are thinking that I am at fault then I am ready to correct it."

Adya entered the cabin at that time, she raised her eyebrows in question while nudging Rohan after seeing the red face of Raina. Rohan simply signalled her to watch

Jatin looked at her from top to toe. "You will go in the meeting like this..." , he said as he was disgusted by her attire.

This added like fuel in the fire. Raina crossed her hands in front of her chest and asked in a mocking tone, "Do you have any better option..?? Or did you leave any other option?? don't tell me that you want to exchange my saree with your expansive business outfit Mr. Jatin."

A chuckle escaped from Adya's mouth but she covered it with a fake cough when she saw Adhiraj was glaring at her.

Adhiraj was aware of the little politics in the office, he himself faced it in his prior days.

He said to Raina, "No need to attain the meeting.. Just connect your pendrive with my laptop and make pointers. After that you are good to go."

Just then two men entered , Adhiraj stood up to greet them while Adya and Raina step aside.

They were the clients with whom meeting was going to happen. They took their seat and talk a little with Adhiraj.

Adya whispered in Raina's ear, "Woahh, someone is looking fire and spitting fire too."

Raina looked at her and chuckled at her comment. She started making notes while seating on the couch and making points for meeting, Rohan and Adya were talking with the clients.

Jatin was long gone out of the embarrassment.

After few minutes, her work was done. She moved to the table and inserted the pendrive in the laptop and put all the files in sequence.

She felt someone's gaze on her body.She turned sideways to see a man settled on a chair and lustfully ogling at her. His eyes were settled on her waist which she tried to cover as much as she could with her saree. She was regretting coming to office like that, but again she didn't had any choice.

Adhiraj who was seeing her putting the files noticed her sudden discomfort. He moved his eyes and saw the reason too.

He stood up and came on her right side fully covering her from that man's perverted eyes with an excuse of asking something from her. Raina answered his silly question .

It just took a hard glare from him to that man to turn his eyes, he said in a strong voice, "Gentlemen...my PA will show the way to the conference room..we will be there shortly.."

Both men moved out of the cabin. Raina wasn't naive , she understood the reason of his cold voice.

Adhiraj looked at her feeling her eyes on him. Raina gave him a polite smile silently saying thank you. Adhiraj nodded his head dismissing the matter.

All of them moved out of the cabin to resume their work. Adya was talking with Raina when her eyes widened seeing the person behind Raina.

Raina noticed everyone's expressions, she was going to turn but saw Akshit coming forward. He shook hand with Adhiraj.

Rohan asked confused, "Mr. Nagar, you are here??"

Akshit said, "Yeah. Some work."

He turned to Raina and asked in a stern tone, "Where is your phone?"

Raina furrowed her eyebrows , "My phone??"

She looked at her hand but it was empty.

Akshit said, "I am calling you from past 10 minutes. Where is your phone?"

She scratched her head thinking where she left her phone. She was looking like a girl who lost her toy and was being scolded by her father.

Akshit again dialled her number. Jeet and Neha came running to Raina. Jeet said, "Raina, you forgot your phone at the desk. Someone Akshit with monkey emoji is calling you continuously."

Raina's eye widened , she tried to took the phone but Akshit was fast enough to do it. He saw the caller I'd which was saved as Akshit🐵🐵.

Raina facepalmed herself suppressing a giggle. Akshit closed his eyes in frustration.

He said showing her the phone screen, "I have told you at least 100 times to remove these emojis. Why didn't you do that??"

She shrugged her shoulders.

He said annoyed, "I will not talk to you?? You are so annoying.."

She said nonchalantly, "Okey then don't talk to me. Do all the arrangements by yourself tomorrow."

He was stunned for a minute, no doubt Raina managed every thing smoothly. He said smiling a little, "Ohh. I was joking only."

Raina said, "But I was not. "

Akshit pouted, "I will give you one chocolate."

Raina said moving towards the elevator, "I can buy one by myself."

Akshit said following her, "Raina?? What about two chocolates??"

To say the people were shocked would be an understatement.

Rohan asked, "What was that??"

Adhiraj commanded still looking at their retreating figure, "Move to your work,people."
