20. Concert

Life was going so fast , Raina was checking her bags and every needed things. She had moved out from her flat two days ago and was staying at Akshit's home. Next day, she would fly to Jodhpur.

After Dia was gone, Raina was behaving very silent, some credit goes to Dia's departure , some goes to her hectic schedule packed with back to back meetings and some goes to the anxiety because of Jodhpur.

It was already 6 in the evening. She picked up her dress and decided to get ready.

Just two days ago, when she was busy with packing her luggage, Akshit blasted the bomb upon her.

His deal with the music director went well and they decided to held a concert as soon as possible. He wanted Raina to witness him singing in his first ever concert so he went with today's evening.

Since it was his first concert and he had recently started working with Rathore Enterprises that's why free passes were give to the employees.

Neha and Adya were super excited for this. Not only them, but probably everyone.

And the reason was , he was a pretty good famous because of his singing on social media platforms.

Finally she got ready in her white calf length dress.

She decided to take a cab to reach the concert. Cab ride was full of different types of thoughts.

She reached her destination, she stared at the big banner on the entrance.

She remembered the moment when Dia said to Akshit, "You know Akshit!!! When you will sing first time in your concert, and if you will not sing good, I will carry eggs and tomatoes to throw it on your face. "

Raina thought, 'It would feel so good Dia if you would have come here with me.' Raina was sulking over Dia's honeymoon.

She entered inside the hall, in the lobby she spotted Neha waving at her. She moved towards her and greeted her.

Neha said looking at her, "Raina... Adya ma'am will join us shortly."

Raina nodded her head and stood aside along with Neha to avoid the rush of people as it was crowded.

Meanwhile one hour earlier-

Adya whined seating on his brother's bed , "Bhai sa.. Please, come with me.."

Adhiraj said still busy in his laptop, "Adya.. You go and enjoy.. Rohan will accompany you . I have a lot of work."

Adya reasoned, "But Bhai sa. Akshit himself invited you , you know right? I am his big fan.. And I will not go without you..."

Adhiraj looked at her with hard eyes but she was his sister, she also looked straight in his eyes with a silly smile on her face.

After one minute of this glaring game, Adhiraj stood up and said, " I think, I need a break from work.... You have 20 minutes to get ready.."

Adya jumped in happiness and ran to her room to get ready, Adhiraj smiled at her antics while entering his closet.

They both went inside the hall. Adya said looking here and there, "Bhai sa.. I am going with girls."

Adhiraj asked, "Why? Come with me."

She turned to him and said, "No No. I am good.. You go and sit silently with Rohan bhai in that VIP lounge. I will go with Neha, so that I can enjoy. Otherwise with you two , I have to be quite."

Before Adhiraj can say something, Adya moved towards a direction. He shook his head and moved towards VIP area.

Adya reached the place where girls were standing.

She chirped, "Hii girls!!!!"

Neha greeted, "Hiii ma'am..!!"

Adya looked left and right, "Ma'am?? Who?? Where?"

Neha looked confused, "Ma'am, I am talking to you...."

Adya smiled and said, "Come on Neha...This is not office so no need to call me ma'am."

Neha nodded her head.

Raina said, "We should move inside."

They started walking. Suddenly Adya asked, "Ummm.. Raina?? Previous days were very hectic, a question was arising in my mind but I couldn't asked you.."

Raina looked at her. Adya continued, "That day,the way you and Akshit were bickering , it seems like you both know each other...."

Neha also jumped in the conversation, "Yeah..The way you were laughing on him and his annoyed face was so hilarious."

Raina knew that some day that question will come, she was pretty ready to answer, "Ohh!! That....Actual-" . Somebody griped her shoulder from behind.

Raina turned to see who it was. Her eyes widened with surprise . She just crashed on that person's arm.

Dia chuckled, "Somebody missed me badly."

Raina broke the hug and said with a cheerful smile on her face, "As if you didn't."

Adya and Neha was stunned slightly after seeing her smiling naturally, from past few days she was carrying a dull expression on her face.

Raina hugged Gaurav who was standing behind his wife.

Raina asked, "What are you both doing here... So far I know, you were on your honeymoon."

Gaurav said amusingly, "Akshit's first concert and this woman will not attend. That will be world's eighth wonder."

Dia punched his shoulder and said, "Let's go inside. Concert is about to start. "

Raina nodded but remembered her office mates who were still standing their watching her keenly.

She introduced them to each other, "Dia ... Meet Neha and Adya, my colleagues.. And meet Dia , my bestie and Gaurav , her husband."

They exchanged the greetings and moved to their seats leaving a question unanswered.

They settled on their seats. Dia was seating on the left side of Raina and Raina was busy in teasing her.

Suddenly, lights were dimmed and colourful spotlights started moving on the stage. It didn't need Einstein's brain to say that Akshit was about to step on the stage.

Soon few musicians came and took their position in front of their respective instruments.

Akshit entered on the stage while holding a guitar in his hand. It was the same guitar which was gifted by the girls on his birthday.

He addressed the audience in his strong yet smooth voice, "Hey people!! How are you all??"

The crowd erupted in cheers.

He chuckled, "You all know that this is my first public face off. Thanks for coming here and supporting me."

He sat on a stool and balanced his guitar on his thighs. He started singing in his soothing voice while hitting the perfect strings creating a melodious music.

Like this, he sang many low tune songs, audience can't help but to drown in those musical waves. Nobody noticed how one hour passed?

When he stopped singing, the audience's clapping roared in the whole auditorium.

He started, "The next song is dedicated to the two most beautiful souls, my friends... Thank God, friends don't come with price tags otherwise I could never afford the wonderful friends I've got..."

The lights dimmed with a single spotlight on him. He again started playing his guitar.

Whole focus went on the big LED screen on the stage on which Best Friends Forever were written.

They were hurt badly but still Raina was laughing holding her elbow which was bleeding profusely and Akshit was trying to get a grip over his mental condition because he hit his head pretty hard.]

[Next one was a selfie taken by a healthy Dia where Raina was having an arm pouch wrapped over her fractured hand and Akshit head was wrapped in white bandage. They were still laughing over something.]

[Dia and Gaurav appeared on the screen. Gaurav was kneeling down in front of his girlfriend showing her a box of ring. Raina and Akshit were standing at a distance holding a cardboard in their hands on which 'Say YES!!' was written.]

[Picture of recently celebrated Akshit's birthday on the beach came into view. Akshit was unwrapping his gift or the same guitar he was playing smiling widely. Raina and Dia was watching him while eating the cake.]

[Dia's Haldi ceremony's picture was shown in which Dia was seating in the middle holding both stupids on her each side by sneaking her hands in their necks and smearing the haldi of her cheeks on their cheeks.]

[Dia and Gaurav were seating in their wedding attires on a royal looking couch whereas Akshit and Raina were literally clinging on the couple from each side irritating the hell out of him.]

Akshit ended the song and cleared his throat and said, "I just want to say that , Thank you both of you for lifting me up when I was fallen badly, thank you for being my unpaid therapists."

He looked towards a particular direction in the seating area looking at his two besties who couldn't stop their tears.

He smiled and said, "We started from ' Tell me something about you and we reached at ' Shut up, I know more about you than you do ' ....... Our friendship is not a big thing,,,it's just million little things.."

A lone tear escaped his eyes but he was still smiling, "Thank you for becoming my family and making hard times easier when I lost my half of the family..Thanks a lot my babies."

He smiled and waved at the audience and exited the stage going towards the back stage.
