1. Adhiraj Singh Rathore
The Crowned Prince
A man in his mid-twenties was sitting in his comfortable chair in his opulent cabin. The cabin was dead calm.
One hand was tapping on the surface of the black mahogany table.
And another hand was busy holding the cup of coffee whereas his mind was occupied by the laptop on which he was making a presentation. His eyes fixed on the screen where different graphs were passing by.
Adhiraj Singh Rathore. (27 years old)
A sudden knock on the door broke his trance.
"Come In", He said in his authoritative voice.
A man entered with a smile on his face and happily said, " Adhiraj!! We got the deal with the partnership with 70% of shares in profits."
A miniature smile tugged in his sculpted lips, " That's a piece of good news, Rohan. Take a seat first..."
He gestured to him to settle himself.
Rohan Bajpeyi. (27 years old)
Rohan sat on the chair.
Adhiraj cleared his throat and said, "Rohan! You worked very hard on this project. I think you deserve a holiday."
Rohan was shocked, "What? Holiday? The workaholic boss is giving me a holiday? Unbelievable!!"
He banged the table lightly, being his dramatic self.
Adhiraj smirked and said to his best friend, "Of course, After three hours, we are flying to Jodhpur."
Rohan looked at him and made a face, "I knew it. Directly say that you have to go to Jodhpur. Why giving momentary happiness by saying holiday."
Suddenly a seriousness took over the relaxed features of Rohan. He fidgeted with the pen he was holding.
Rohan informed him, "Your Highness. We found the person who tried to shoot you at that hotel."
Adhiraj stared at his face blankly. He closed the flap of the laptop.
He said rising from his seat, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go."
Rohan nodded his head.
Adhiraj buttoned his coat as he stared unfocused. His neutral eyes were being coated with anger and a tinge of cruelty.
Rohan followed Adhiraj outside his cabin. Every employee who came in his way greeted him but he could care less to acknowledge them.
When they reached the parking lot, the driver bowed his head in front of him.
Adhiraj snatched the keys from his hand and threw them towards Rohan. Rohan caught the keys and went to the driving seat whereas Adhiraj settled on the passenger seat.
Rohan ignited the engine with a deep breath. And the car ran on the black roads of Mumbai.
They were on their way to the outskirts of the city. Adhiraj was silently observing the greenery of the suburbs. None of them speaking a word.
Only Rohan knew that it was the silence before the storm.
The car stopped in front of an old building with the screeching sounds of the tires.
That building and environment surrounding it were looking very scary.
Adhiraj took out his gun from the dashboard of the car and checked the bullets. He switched off his phone and tossed it inside the dashboard.
He walked towards the building and again Rohan followed him silently.
In the hallway, there were at least twenty men, they all bowed when they saw Adhiraj.
Adhiraj looked at Rohan, Rohan signalled towards a wooden door.
He turned the knob for him to enter.
The first thing, that caught his attention was a yellow bulb hanging down from the ceiling, lightening the room and the second most attractive thing was a man tied on a chair just below the bulb.
He was bleeding from his nose and head. His eyes were closed and swollen and messy hair sticking to his face.
Maybe unconscious!!
Rohan chose a corner to stand silently.
Adhiraj strolled to a table and picked up a glass of water.
Reaching near the person, he threw the water on his face with full force.
The injured man woke up with a jerk and gasped for a proper breath. He shook his head vigorously, trying to get rid of the extra water obstructing his vision and breathing.
Then he saw the man standing in front of him. If he had any hope of his existence till then, they vanished after seeing Adhiraj.
Adhiraj matched his eye level with a murderous look prominent in his orbs, he asked in a dangerously low voice, "Who hired you to kill me? "
That man gulped in fear and stammered out his answer, "I don't know. I- I received a call from som-somebody who give me the contract. And he sent me your photo through email. We n-never actually met."
Adhiraj gripped his jaw in his claws, his fingers digging in his cheeks, "Tell me the truth. Fast. It will save my time and maybe, maybe your life."
The contra killer shivered, "I don't know anything. Please let me go. I already gave all the information to your men. Please let me go. Please."
He begged.
Adhiraj stared at his face and asked, "How many people begged for their life. Did you let them go?"
The man was silently crying over his fate.
Adhiraj punched him in his gut and asked angrily, "Tell me did you let them go?"
And again he punched him.
The man shouted in agony, "No!! Please let me go. I am begging you. I will leave this city. I will never show my face."
Adhiraj chuckled darkly, "You didn't let them go and you are expecting me to show mercy on a killer like you. And about your disgusting face, don't worry I will take care of it."
He took out his gun from his waistband and unlocked the safety lock.
The man was watching him with his fearful eyes with screams of help coming out from his mouth. But alas!! Nobody was there, within few kilometres to help him. Those who were present didn't want to save him at all.
Adhiraj put the metallic front of the gun on his forehead and said, "Nobody dares to mess with Adhiraj Singh Rathore. Nobody means nobody."
Without thinking much he pressed the trigger twice. Watching him keenly as the man's body went limp.
He threw his gun towards his men and wore his sunglasses and turning to leave the place.
Rohan instructed his men to clean the place and take care of the legal matters, if anything happens or so.
Adhiraj sat inside the car and switched on his phone. Just on cue, his device started ringing. A small genuine smile appeared on his face on seeing the caller's name.
Rohan again started the car, taking a U-turn, driving back to the city as he listened to him speaking overcall.
(A/N: Maa sa.)
"Hello, Maa sa!!"
"Yeah."
"I will be there by the evening"
"Promise."
"Bye, Take Care. "
He ordered Rohan, "Rohan. My chopper should be ready in two hours. We need to go Jodhpur."
Rohan nodded his head.
