6. Meeting the Prince

Two days passed in a blur. Raina was working with full dedication in her office cubicle. She completed the given file in two days or it will be good to say that, in two sleepless nights.

She decided to send the file to Rohan through peon.

Peon took the file and went to Rohan's cabin but he was in the conference room so he did handover the file to his secretary.

His secretary noticed that it was an important file so he went to the conference room. He entered and give the file to him.

Rohan took the file. Opening it, he was shocked and rechecked it.

He muttered, "Oh My God. Unbelievable!!"

Adhiraj heard it and raised his eyebrows. Rohan understood his silent question and showed him the file, "I gave this file to study and prepare a presentation to Raina within a week. But that girl did it in just two days."

He asked, "Who is Raina??"

Rohan gives him a look and then explained, "The girl about whom Bhardwaj sir was talking."

Adhiraj took the file and glared at Rohan, "You gave such an important file to a newcomer. Seriously!!!"

Rohan gave a sheepish smile, "But take a look. Her standards are quite high if we compare it to a usual newcomer."

Adhiraj started checking the file and something caught his eyes. He told his PA to call that girl.

Rohan looked at him bewildered. If something would be wrong in the file, that poor girl was most probably going to get a good scolding by Adhiraj in front of the whole conference hall.

Raina was again drowned in her work where Neha was watching her helplessly.

"Raina, please. Let's go for a coffee break. I am requesting you for the past three hours. ",Neha whined.

Raina told her not looking up, "Take somebody else Neha. I have to work."

Neha snatched her file and pulled her to stand, "Not happening. I am going with you. Moreover, I don't talk much with other girls."

Raina was going to snap at her but controlled herself. She couldn't understand why Neha was so hell bent on befriending her.

But it was true that Neha didn't talk much with other co-workers especially females and the reason is so obvious because most of them behave like bitches.

Suddenly, a man came and told her that she was needed in the conference room.

Why?

This question twirled in her mind but she kept quiet and told that man that she would be there in few moments.

She turned towards her table to pick a notepad in case of any need and said to Neha, "Neha. We will go for a coffee some other time. Right now I have to go. Hope you don't mind."

When she didn't get any reply she looked up and found others looking at her with open mouth.

She asked, "What happened guys??"

Neha asked, "Do you know that guy who came to call you?"

Raina took a glass and took a sip of water and nodded her head in no.

Jatin said, "He was the PA of Adhiraj sir."

Raina asked, "Who is this Adhikaar sir?"

Jeet said, "He is the CEO of this company. Adhiraj Singh Rathore."

Raina choked on her water and looked at them with widened eyes. She nervously placed the glass back on the table while Neha patted her back to calm her down.

Neha pushed her towards elevator, "Hurry up. I have heard that he hates time-wasting. Go fast. "

Raina nodded and went at a fast pace towards the conference hall. She knocked on the door with a high beating heart.

When permission was granted she entered. There were at least ten people seating around the large oval shaped table. She knew some of them and they were important officials of this company, Rohan was there also. He gave a formal smile to her which she returned.

She was thinking about the mistakes that might be done by her but found none then why was she called here?

She had no idea.

She greeted them while they acknowledged her with a head nod. A man placed the file on the table, it was the same file that she had prepared.

She glanced at the man.

To say he was a good looking man would be underestimating him. But Raina was not focused on his looks, the first thing she noticed about him was an aura of power and dominance that was emitting from him. His personality demanded the respect from others. She gulped the saliva. The way he was looking at her while leaning back in the chair resembled a lion leaning back on its paws to lunge forward.

She asked with remaining confidence left in her, "Sir! You called me?"

Adhiraj looked at her and asked in his cold voice, "Did you prepared this file?"

"Yes sir.", Raina nodded.

Adhiraj passed that file to one of man, "Mr Yadav. Read this file within ten minutes and share your reviews."

That man nodded and started reading the file. In all this while, Raina was standing with her hands clasped behind her back and looking at Mr Yadav, praying that everything to be good without any mistakes.

Whenever she looked at Adhiraj she felt nervous,he was intimidating her without no reason.

Rohan was wishing that the file would be good enough to save Raina from Adhiraj's wrath.

Adhiraj was looking at Raina observing her body language. Her straight posture was indicating her confidence although when she entered the cabin, he saw a little nervousness on her face but soon it was covered with confidence.

She was continuously looking at Mr Yadav's face trying to decode what was going in his mind.

Mr Yadav sighed placing the file on the shining table, "Sir. Everything is good but the place chosen for the construction site is underdeveloped. If we adopt this plan then we will get a huge loss. I don't think that it will be good. This is a childish presentation."

Raina felt her heart skipping a beat on his comment. She used all her brain to make the presentation and dreading the moment when this CEO will shout at her.

Adhiraj said, "Pass that file to Ms Kashyap. "

Soon Raina was holding the file in her hand looking at it. She heard him saying, "Ms Kashyap. Now it is your turn to represent your idea."

A new ray of hope came to her and she took a breath of relief. She asked Rohan, "Sir? I have sent a pendrive along with it. Can I get that?"

Rohan nodded and handed that Pendrive to her. Adhiraj signalled his PA to help her with what she was planning. His PA helped her connecting the Pendrive to a laptop and projector. Lights were switched off and projections started showing the graphs along with her explanations.

She said at last to Mr Yadav, "Sir you said that it will give a huge loss. I know that the place I suggested is not up to mark and it will cost us a fortune to get our all resources there. But after we would establish our plant and factory there, we will get a monopoly of that place and within one year we will be able to make a double profit which will compensate our loss very easily and the annual turnover will be above 50 crores. That's it, gentlemen."

Everyone clapped at her mind-blowing plan.

Mr Yadav too had a smile, he said, "Very good young lady. Your far-thinking ability is your strength. Keep moving ahead and sorry because I rejected your idea at first but at that time I wasn't able to grasp it. "

Raina smiles hearing his acknowledgement, "Thanks, sir. And please, don't say sorry. You just got ten minutes to study the file."

All this while, Adhiraj was watching her every activity. Now he got it why Bhardwaj was so impressed by this girl.

Adhiraj caught the right idea behind the presentation the instant he saw the presentation but he wanted her to represent it herself but he wanted to see the public speaking skill of her.

And he might say that she was good enough.
