Chapter 25

It's Too Painful

Therapy- Mialotte

It had been 2 weeks since char had refused to see Mia at the hospital.

"Right Charli are you ready to go home." Sorscha said with a perky smile. It was the day char was finally being discharged from hospital with strict orders to rest.

"Yes, I'm so ready to see my girls." Charlotte said with excitement but so nervous to explain to the girls where she had been.

On the way home Sorscha asked Charlotte about her and Mia. It's something everyone was wondering as both of them don't seem like the type to call it quits over something sinister. Mia quite clearly had some trauma she didn't unpack to char and char mentioning marriage quite clearly triggered her.

"Sorscha, I don't want to talk about this right now. It's too painful all I can say is Mia has a lot of making up to do. She can't just leave me and expect everything to be okay when she gets back."

Even though char's heart beat for Mia, she couldn't let her walk all over her like her ex-husband did. Being left like she was reminded her of the time her ex left and went to the club. That was the last time char let someone walk over her.

Mia's POV:

I know char is coming home today Reece told me but I don't want to cause her any more stress. But I can't let her think I'm giving up on her this easily. I need to give her some flowers without seeing her face to face.

I ring up char's favourite florist, harries, and order her favourite black roses with glitter. I order them to be delivered to her house with a note reading "Char, get well soon. I'm sorry things ended the way they did. When you want to see me I'll explain it further. Just know I'm sorry. I'll always love you.".

Mia knew char needed to know the truth about why marriage triggers her so much.

*Back to Main Part*

Sorscha was still at char's house settling her back into home life when she heard the door bell ring. She answered the door whilst Char was eating. A huge 100 black roses with glitter bouquet was handed to her. "A delivery for Charlotte" the man said.

"Charli, a delivery for you"

"I haven't ordered anything" Charlotte said as she saw Sorscha walk in with a bouquet in her hand. She knew who they were from as nobody but Mia knew her favourite bouquet.

As she read the card, warmth started to fill her heard and her feelings for Mia started to grow again. They hadn't really disappeared, but they started to get stronger. She knew Mia didn't do this to hurt her. She wasn't ready to talk to Mia but she knew at some point they needed to chat and sort it out. Char couldn't let it end here.
