Therapy- Mialotte
Charlotte was so nervous for her first therapy session recommended by Carly. Carly had attended this therapist for her struggles with depression. She noticed Char had been struggling, she knew even though the divorce had been finalised and Mia constantly being weird with her that Char needed to rant to someone other than people at the nursery. After many battles to get Char to agree, she finally gave in and decided to give it a try.
Char was said in an empty waiting room, in a chair in the corner furthest away from all the doors and reception. Her stomach was turning, her leg was shaking and she couldn't face the therapist. She felt like all her problems were sorted. Thoughts in her brain were like a tennis ball being batted back and forth. Char didn't feel depressed, if anything she felt free.
"Charlotte" called out a calming voice. Char looked up to see a Red Head, 5'6 woman who reminded her of Mia. She had a feeling, not a good one, is this a coincidence or is it her mind playing tricks on her.
She sat down in a comfy dark blue chair surrounded by pictures of the beach, the sky and animals. This didn't feel like a therapy office it felt so homely. She never thought that therapy would feel like this.
V- Victoria
C- Charlotte
"Hello Charlotte, I'm Victoria, I'll be your therapist for the next few months and if you want to stop at any time just let me know"- V
"Hi, that's fine, I don't know why I'm here actually."- C
"Right, that's totally understandable. Why don't you tell me abit about yourself and abit about your life"-V
"So I have two little girls Jessie and Rae who are 7 and 3. I work in a nursery filled with people who mean the world to me, except Mia, she irritates me and flirts with me all the time, I've just divorced so why would I even be ready for love yet. Everyone knows I'm so done with love ." - C
"So this Mia, how does she make you feel?"- V
"Angry. irritated. Uncomfortable. I just want her to stop, I've told her I'm not into women, I just want her to stop. Since getting divorced it irritates me more than it should. Is it me, am I a problem"- C
Charlotte started crying whilst gathering her thoughts. She couldn't understand why Mia wouldn't leave her alone. She started to feel like she did when she was married. Trapped. Why was this happening to her. Victoria started to explain that people flashback to a traumatic time when something triggers them. Victoria helps connect the dots to why Charlotte may feel uncomfortable around Mia. She also explains to Charlotte that divorce is such a hurtful process and she may be overwhelmed with what's going on in her personal life that she may feel this way because of Mia triggering something she experienced.
Char really connects with Victoria and as the session goes on she starts to open up to her about what her husband used to do to her and how he made her feel. The session was drawing to an end and Charlotte felt a weight was took off her shoulders and agreed for an appointment next Wednesday.
She started to see sense, driving home, that Mia wasn't the problem and Mia was only trying to be nice. It was the fact that she had so much trauma from her divorce and her ex-husband she believed that Mia would do the same to her. She felt the need to apologise to Mia for being so cold and distant with her. Charlotte didn't hate Mia. She just didn't like the way Mia was with her but all of it makes sense now. Mia just cares heavily for Char.
A/n:
What is char going to do? How is she going to apologise to Mia?
(This is my first fanfic so I apologise if it's a bit messy at first. Any tips or suggestions are massively appreciated and will be taken into account.)
