Along with the noise from the curtains, the secretly recorded video from a tricky angle was slowly played in front of everyone’s astonished eyes.

Lu Nuannuan and the maid stood face to face. Their voices were clearly heard by everyone in the banquet hall.

“Think of a way to kill Lu Qi. I will arrange for you to go abroad and give you a sum of money!”

There was an uproar at the scene.

No one had expected Lu Nuannuan to have such a vicious heart under her pretty face.

Everyone subconsciously took two steps back and kept their distance from Lu Nuannuan. A look of shock flashed across everyone’s eyes. They looked at Lu Qi with sympathy and started discussing in low voices.

Lu Qi shouted in a high-pitched voice. She leaned against Mo Chen with a slight frown, “I’ve always treated you as my family, but why do you always want to fight with me and even try to take my life? What have I done wrong to

you?”

“I didn’t! You’re lying!”

Lu Nuannuan’s face turned pale. She desperately wanted to turn off the secretly recorded video.

However, the control system of the curtain had been changed by Lu Qi, so the remote control could not be used.

Lu Nuannuan tore the curtain in panic. She stared at Lu Qi with bloodshot eyes and cursed in a low voice, “It’s all your fault! You did all this. You deliberately sabotaged me!”

Seeing that Lu Nuannuan was about to pounce on Lu Qi, Mo Chen immediately pushed her away.

Looking at the woman who had fallen to the ground, he said coldly, “How could Lu Qi sabotage you into saying that you want to kill her? Everyone has eyes and ears. They can clearly see and hear the whole process of you attempting to kill Lu Qi.”

“Even in this situation, you still want to malign Lu Qi? How preposterous!”

Mo Chen gently put his arm around Lu Qi’s shoulder and pretended to comfort her as he whispered, “It’s okay, don’t be afraid! Now that I’m by your side, I won’t be easily deceived like Yu Yang. I’ll always protect you!”

Lu Qi silently rolled her eyes in her heart as she listened to his affectionate confession.

Although she was grateful that Mo Chen was able to react quickly and cooperate with her, his words were really a little too much…

There was an extremely heavy knock on the door. A uniformed police officer suddenly appeared in the banquet hall. The police officer in the lead took out his identification and looked around for the target until he saw Lu Nuannuan sitting on the ground. He raised his head and pointed at Lu Qi, wanting to scold her for making a family matter public and calling the police!
