C H A P T E R 13

"Natalia I swear."

I sighed, "Lindsey, chill."

"Don't tell me to chill! Your the one who-"

I hung up on her for the second time. Jaleena put her hand over her mouth stifling a laugh.

"Don't be so mean, ice queen."

I smirked.

"I'm only mean in-" I was cut off by the phone ringing yet again. I groaned.

"Stop hanging up on me bitch!" Lindsey yelled.

"What do you want?" I questioned.

"Just come to the beach today ok? We miss you."

I rolled my eyes. They just wanna know who's got all my attention, "Ok fine whatever."

She cheered, "Ok noon. See yah!" She was the one who hung up. I threw my phone at the foot of the bed.

"Ok where was I?" I questioned looking at Jaleena.

"You were going on about something," in one swift move Jaleena was sitting in my lap straddling my waist with her hand linked behind my neck.

"Lucky for you I remember what that something was," I pushed her down on the bed and attacked her lips.

"Talia mom wants to know-" River stopped mid sentence and looked up.

"Mom wanted to know?" I questioned still on top of Jaleena.

He cleared his throat, "mom wanted to know if you had a date to her fundraising ball?"

I looked down, "I was getting to that."

"Was that before or after you slept with your new toy?" I picked up my phone which happened to be next to me and threw it at him. He managed to shut the door before it reached him. It sadly collided with the shit door instead of his face. I sat up.

"He has no fucking right to talk to you like that. I'm so sorry," I gave Jaleena an apologetic look.

She shook her head," it's ok, I know he doesn't like me."

I shook my head, "He's just an ass hole," I stood up, "you should come with me to the beach," I stood in front of her.

"I don't have a bathing suit."

I raised my eyebrows, "Who said you need a suit."

she smiled, "I said I need a suit,"

I rolled my eyes, "We can stop by your house to grab one," I fluttered my eyes.

"Of course I wanna go."

I smiled, "Let me throw on a suit and then we can leave," I went to my closet and threw on the first bathing suit I saw.

Grabbing my sunglasses and a bathing suit cover I walk out the closet. After shuffling around my room for a pair of flip flops I strip.

"Have I ever told you you look good in nothing," Jaleena comes up behind me and wraps her arms around my bare waist.

"Have I ever told you-" I stop mid sentence looking down at Jaleena's arms then at my stomach, "fuck!"

"You've said that many times."

I shook my head.

"No not that," I turned around and Jaleena let go of me. I pointed to the hickies that went down my stomach in a straight line, "this."

"Oh those. I forgot about them," Jaleena lifted up her shirt and had the same line, "why did we do this again?" She asked.

I shrugged my shoulders.

"Ugh, because I love hickies, they're an addictionI always seem to feed into," I sighed.

"What do you want to do?" Jaleena looked me in the eyes.

"What are we?" I asked a serious question. Jaleena stood looking at me.

"I don't know Natalia you tell me. Are you just playing with my emotions or do you want to be something more?"

I turned to face her, "I'm not playing with, I want this, I want us," I smashed my lips into hers. We pulled back minutes later.

"Ok, then what do you care what Lindsey and the others think?"

"I don't."

"Good, ready to go?"

"Yes, just let me put on some clothes over this," I picked up my car keys, "wanna go cool down the car?" She nods her head and grabs my car keys.

I return to my closet, grab a grey shirt that's a size too big, throw it on over my head, then get some high waisted mom shorts from my dresser, throw them on, and then throw on a pair of red sandals. My beach bag laid ready by my bedroom door. It never gets unpacked, because it has everything I need already inside. After grabbing the phone that laid cracked on the floor and my wallet I walked downstairs.

"Natalia, where are you going?" My mother ambushes me as I reach the bottom of the steps.

"To the beach, mother," dad sits next to her on the couch. They both turned around facing me.

"With that girl?" My father asked.

"Yes, daddy," I replied sweetly.

"She seems lovely, call if you're staying at a friend's house darling."

I nod my head.

"I will daddy," opening the front door I prepare to walk out, but instead walk into a person. Running into them we both fall on the hot cement.

"Ow," she spoke.

"Jane, what are you doing here?" I got up quickly and gave Jane my hand to get up.

"Your brother texted me to see I wanted to hang out. I haven't hung out with him alone in a while so I said yes," Jane whispered.

"Ok, well have fun with that my brother is an ass wipe," I started walking off towards the car.

"Wait!" Jane spoke above her normal whisper for the first time since, ever. I turned around.

"Yes," I questioned.

"Can you- um- call him out. Your mother-she scares me."

I laughed.

"Who doesn't she scare," I rolled my eyes," take my bag to the car and I'll run up to get him," Jane took my bag and I put my phone in my back pocket. Before going back inside I turn to look at my car. Jaleena waited patiently in the front seat.

I quickly ran back inside and upstairs before my parents could question me.

I barged right into Rivers' room Which is down the hall from mine,"hey ass hat, Janes is w-" I stopped mid sentence.

His room was empty. I check his bathroom and closet, but still no River. Just his empty alcohol bottles, and half smoked blunts. I walked back out and shut the door.

"Hey daddy," I walked back down the stairs, "did River tell you where he was going?" My father turned and looked back at me, mother no longer by his side.

"No, dear."

I nod my head.

"It's ok daddy. Well I'm leaving this time bye," I walked back out the front door and to the car. Jane waited for me there, "he's not here." I said, "must've left or something."

"Oh ok," she pulls out her phone and looked down at it like she is lost. I sighed.

"Jane get in the car," I opened the driver's side door, "clearly River did this to you on purpose. Some best friend he is. Looks like he wanted you to come with me for some odd reason."

Jane shook her head, "I don't want to impose."

I sat down in the driver seat.

"Jane get in the car, anyway you're not imposing, right Jaleena?" I looked over to Jaleena asking for her help on getting this girl in the car. The one girl who would not bend to my will, damn you Jane!

"Right, we're going to the beach, it's going to be lots of fun," Jaleena spoke with a smile in her eyes.

"Oh I don't have a bathing suit,"

I smiled, "You can use the one you wore last time, now get in the car Jane, don't make me get out to get you," at those words Jane easily got in the car, "see that's better. You need to learn how to be more obedient," Jaleena slapped arm, "ow what!?"

"Leave the poor girl alone."

I smiled and looked in the rear view mirror at her.

"She knows I'm just teasing," I then pulled out of the driveway and to Jaleena's house.
