Chapter 18

Third person P.O.V.

Dušica was leading girls at back of house to big garden.

When they were at back side of house, girls were in awe. Once again.

It really was beautiful, with one big fountain in middle, a lot of different flowers and trees. There also was one big garden furniture. At one tree, the biggest one there, was big swing.

"It's beautiful" Sam said almost in whisper.

"It really is" Dušica said while looking at her.

She meant it! She really thought about Sam on different way and she didn't know what that is. Now, when she recall the moment that happened between them before lunch, she can't help but wonder. Wonder about everything. All she wanted to do is hold Sam's hand and to never let it go. She couldn't throw out the picture of them two so close to each other, from her head. She still could feel Sam's hot breath on her neck. The way she pout! Oh god that makes her crazy. She adored everything about her, her every word, her every touch, her every movement. Sam is just perfect. Way too perfect.

She didn't even bother to listen what others were talking about while she was leading them in middle. She was too focused on Sam, it was like she occupied her whole mind. She didn't even realized they came to end of this part, where stairs are and she almost fall down. Lucky for her, Mia caught her on time.

"Hey, watch out" she said and gave her best friend worried look.

She noticed that Dušica was being distant whole this time but she didn't want to ask too much.

"Right." Dušica said and stood straight. "You know I'm clumsy" she added with wink.

"Unfortunately" Mia answered playfully.

"By the way, it has been like 11 years since you two were friends?" Ana asked.

"Yeah, why?"

"Come on, tell us something that is like the funniest thing you remember" she said.

She really was curious about this. She really really really liked Dušica and she wanted to know more about her. But she was well aware that Dušica is straight, and that bothered her too much.

Not just her, but everyone wanted to hear something funny about this two friends.

"Hmm, there is a lot of things" Dušica said and started thinking.

"Oh do you remember that time when we got drunk?" Mia asked excitedly.

"Which one exactly? You know there was a lot!"

"Yeah, yeah, but one when we talked with pregnant woman's stomach? Like we were talking with her baby?"

Dušica started laughing at memories "Oh my god yes! And you got angry when baby didn't want to answer you back" she said between laughs and everyone started laughing by now. "But do you guys know what's the best thing!?" she asked and turned around to face them.

They just shook their heads, waiting for answer.

"That woman was a man!" she said and Mia and she literally laughed their asses off while other couldn't believe. "But, in our defense, he really had long hair" she added.

"Yeah, and when he told us that he is actually a guy Dušica started screaming something like 'He ate a baby! This man ate a baby! Run for your life!' That was hilarious" Mia added and now everyone was laughing.

"How is this even possible!?" Emili asked after she caught her breath.

"We were drunk duh" Mia replied.

"And I thought you are a normal girl" Elena said to Dušica and shook her head in disbelief.

"Oh babe, you should know I am far from normal" Dušica answered with wink.

"Do you remember that time when we take a bath together. That was fun" Mia asked.

"You did what!?" All girls said at same time, shock evident in their voices.

"It was so not funny!" Dušica said. "And that only happened because you were drunk as fuck that night, and me being responsible friend I am, I wanted to sober you up. It's your fault you thought it would be the funniest thing on this world if you pull me in bath with you" Dušica finished and rolled her eyes.

"Well, that really was funny!" Mia said while laughing like crazy.

Dušica shook her head in disbelief "And just for you all to know I was fully clothed!"

"But I wasn't" Mia said again and laughed even more.

"Dear god" Sam breathed out. She couldn't believe what she was listening.

"Yeah, and next day she went to her mom and was like 'Mom I took a bath with Dušica last night'. Do you know how much time I spent explaining to her what happened."

"You two are crazy" Ana said.

"Pretty much" they said at same time.

"They always had problems with us" Mia added.

"Oh by the way, we can play tennis tomorrow if you want" Dušica said when they came to tennis court, trying to change subject.

One was in open and other was in big balloon.

"Or football if you like, or basketball" she added pointing at others fields. Football field was in balloon and basketball was on open.

"Wow, you have all this here?" Ana asked in awe.

"Yeah. To be honest i never wanted anything like this, but my grandpa made this house for me so... Oh also there is one smaller sport hall where we can play volleyball."

"Woah" they all said when they walked by it.

"There is something I really want to show you before we go back." she said and leaded them little future.

When they saw what she was talking about everyone stopped walking, like they were frozen.

"You have to be fucking kidding me" Elena said first.

"No" Dušica said with chuckle "come on"

In front of them was big stable with five horses outside and five people working around them.

"Good after noon Miss Nikolić" one of men said.

"Hello Harold, how are you?"

"Very good, and you Miss?"

"Glad to hear that, I'm pretty good myself. How's my babies?"

Girls were looking at horses and couldn't believe what they saw, they were beautiful. Black and brown horses were here.

"They all are good and healthy, we just gave them food"

"Good" Dušica answered with smile and leaned on fence and started whistling.

Like on cue all horses ran towards her, she laughed lightly and patted every one of them.

"Girls, you can pat them, they won't bite" she said and they came nearer to play with them.

"Do you know how to ride?" Dušica asked.

"Unfortunately no" they all said.

"You can try if you want, guys will help you" she looked around and realization hit her "Harold!"

"Yes Miss?" he came running towards her.

Girls turned around and looked weirdly at Dušica.

"Where's Hope!?" she asked worriedly.

"She didn't want to go out today. Others are leading her outside now but it is way too hard" he informed.

And now, girls could hear voices from inside.

"Come on girl, you need to go out a little" it was man's voice.

They could also hear horse trying to fight them back. At that moment Dušica whistling again, but totally different melody. They could hear horse now and sound was stronger than ever.

"Calm down!" man's voice was heard again.

"Wait, wait!"

"Shit!" another voice was heard.

At that moment, the most beautiful horse ever run outside. It was completely white, without any sight of other color. So pure. It has no any equipment on it. Sam was completely blew away by this beauty. Guys run after her but couldn't stop her.

Horse started running towards girls and they instantly moved away, just Dušica stayed at her place with big smile on her face.

"What the hell are you doing!? Move!" some of girls said but she didn't even bother to see who that was.

When horse was near enough she stood on her last legs and with front legs, she gently pushed Dušica down at ground. Everyone gasped, too scared that something could happen to their boss and friend.

Horse put her front legs on both sides of Dušica head and started licking her face. Dušica giggled and tried to move her head on other sides to avoid horse's tongue going all over her face but couldn't do anything.

"Well hello there Hope" she said and horse stopped licking her face but didn't move her head much away from Dušica's. "I missed you too" she added and kissed side of Hope's head.

Girls couldn't believe what they have just witnessed. They thought there is no one who can be this close to their horse.

"Hope, can you move a little so I can get up, please?" Dušica asked with smile.

And of course, like she understood, Hope moved aside to let Dušica get up. When she finally got up, Dušica wrapped her arms around horse's neck and hugged her tightly.

"I missed you, Hopy" she said with another kiss at horse's head.

Horse sniffed and licked Dušica's cheek once again. She smiled and turned around to face other girls.

"Girls, meet Hope." she said and motioned at white beauty next to her. "Hope, meet girls"

"She is beautiful" Sam said and walked closer to pat Hope.

Other girls come soon as well, they all enjoyed this so much.

"Are you up for a ride, huh girl?" Dušica asked Hope.

Horse sniffed once again and licked her cheek.

"I guess that's yes" Dušica said while giggling. "Girls, you can ask any of them" she pointed at guys with horses "to help you ride if you want and I will be back really soon okay?"

They nodded and Dušica easily jumped on Hope's back. Hope got up on last legs and started running away with full speed.

"That's my girl" they heard Dušica said.

Sam stared at her until she couldn't see her anymore. She was so happy today. When Dušica is around her, she feel like whole world is hers. She didn't feel alone anymore and she was happier then she ever was in her life. She was so zoned out that she didn't even hear Elena talking to her.

"Sam" El was standing next to her but she noticed that Sam looked like she was miles away.

"Sam!" she said and clapped her hands in front of Sam's face. She finally snapped away from her daydreaming and looked at Elena.

"Huh?"

"Are you okay?" she asked concerned.

"Honestly?" Sam asked with small smile.

"Of course"

"I'm better than ever!" Sam informed and gave Elena one side hug.

Elena was shocked at first and looked weirdly at her, she turned Sam around and got hold of her shoulders.

"Who are you and what have you done to my best friend!?" Elena asked.

Sam couldn't help but laugh. She needed to hold her stomach because of laughter.

"You silly! Can't I just be happy? Don't you want me to be happy!?" she asked once she calmed down.

"Of course I want. It's just kinda..." Elena stopped, looking for right word.

"I think the word you are looking for is 'weird'. You know people use that term when they want to explain something is different than usual" Sam answered playfully.

"Okay, now I am definitely sure something is wrong" Elena said while backing away and looking at Sam up and down.

"Oh shut up" Sam said again with smile before leaving Elena alone.

El was looking at Sam weirdly. She never saw Sam this happy. Her smile never reached her eyes but now... She shook her head and headed towards other girls.

At other side of property Dušica was enjoying riding with Hope. It has no equipment on her but she still managed to enjoy.

"Did you saw her Hopy? Did you saw how beautiful she is?" Dušica asked her horse.

Hope sniffed and Dušica smiled.

"I don't know what's going on with me Hopy. This is so weird" She sighed deeply and turned around to go towards girls. "Let's go back, I was far from her long enough" she said and Hope started running in full speed once again.

Soon enough they were there, they slowed down and went towards girls.

When Sam turned around and saw Dušica on Hope, first thing that went thought her mind was 'Princess charming'. She really was like she just jumped out from some fairy tale.

Dušica jumped down from Hope's back and patted her head.

"Good girl" she said and kissed her head. "Harold, take care of her"

"Will do Miss" he said and took Hope away.

"Are you girls ready to go back?" Dušica asked and they all agreed.

She saw Mia and Elena talking about something far from others girls.

"Wait a second" she said and jogged towards her two best friends.

"What's up girls?" she asked once she was close enough to them.

"We think Sam is liking someone" they both said in unison.

"What!?" Dušica asked.

She hoped that she just heard things wrong. She felt like her heart broke a little. Maybe that's why Sam was acting so happy. Because she has someone. Probably some guy who can make her laugh and smile.

"You heard us" Mia said.

"Why do you think that?"

"Because, I have never seen her this happy. She always have this smile on her face, and she even become touchy person." It was Elena's turn to answer now.

"Yeah, I kinda noticed that too." Dušica said and once again remembered moment before lunch.

Elena is right, Sam probably did it because she become touchy with everyone. Dušica is not anything special, she is same like others. Now when she think about it she doesn't even know why she thought that she might be different.

"Yeah, and if this is true, I really want to find out who will be her first boyfriend" Mia added which got Dušica's attention.

"Wait, what do you mean 'first boyfriend'?

"Exactly what I said"

"How is that even possible!? I mean, just look at her, she is beautiful" Dušica said still pretty shocked.

"Yes she is, but people never had courage to came to her. They think she is some kind of ice freak. Never showing her emotions and always having poker face" Elena said and rolled her eyes.

Dušica felt anger boiled inside her. How could people even think something like that when they don't even know her!?

"That's bullshit! They can't just talk shit about someone when they don't even know her real self" Dušica said "I mean, I spent beautiful time with her last nigh and I swear it was long time since I met someone as kind as her. For god's sake I even told her about Alex!"

"You did what!?" both girls literally yelled.

This gained attention of other girls that was far away but they were curious what's going on.

"Tell me you didn't" Mia said.

She and Elena were way too shocked. They knew Dušica didn't want to talk about something like that to anyone and she said it to completely stranger. They knew she keep her past only for herself and this was really weird for them.

"I did. And don't ask me why because me, myself have no idea. I just know that I felt comfortable with her. I felt like I could tell her my whole life story but-" she started explaining but Elena stopped her.

"But you didn't right? You didn't tell her about-" but she stopped as well when Mia nudged her at ribs.

"No I did not" Dušica answered coldly.

Here we go. Ice cold side of Dušica. Thing you never want to experience. You can literally look at her eyes and saw they are lifelessly. She had blank expression and no emotion showed on her face or her eyes. Her, like this was much more worst than Sam. Even Mia and Elena are scared of this moment. You are lucky if you don't meet this side of her. If you do... Well, better run.

That's her, when it comes to talking about her past. She went through a lot more you can even imagine, but she tried and fight. She turned to other side and closed her eyes. At that moment Mia turned to Elena.

"Are you crazy?" she mouthed, you could see fear in her eyes.

Elena bit her lips, she knew what she said was wrong. She know too well to never, ever remind Dušica of that. She tried to go back at their previous topic.

"And what she did after you told her?"

Dušica turned around and looked at them, still with no even one single emotion in her eyes.

"She said she was sorry and she held me while I cried. Do you-"

"She did what!?" Again, both Elena and Mia stopped her from talking because of shock.

"She held me" Dušica answered and shrugged.

Elena and Mia looked at each others with their mouth opened.

"No way!"

"Whatever. Let's go" Dušica said and walked away.

This two followed her, still nit believing what they heard was true.

They come to other girls and started walking back, towards house.

Dušica immediately felt calmer when Sam was near her. They walked next to each other and few times their fingers brushed of one another's. At that moment they both would feel sparks running down their hands and going to opposite side.

They started walked few minutes and chatted all that time before suddenly Emili stopped.

"What the hell is that!?" Emili pointed at left side which no one looked at when they first come here.

Everyone turned around and gasped when they saw what Emili was pointing.

"Private jet and runway." Dušica answered like that's the most normal thing to be said.

"And helicopter as well" Mia added.

"Holy shit! I thought you have your own airplane but having runway in your property is something I really didn't expect!" Ana said.

"Neither did I, to be honest" Dušica said and shrugged. "Come on, it's time to get wet." she added and started walking towards house.

She suddenly realized what she has said and she stopped walking. She turned around and saw them all standing at same place with their mouth ajar opened.

"Shit, I didn't mean it like that" she said and put hands over her head. "Oh come on girls, you know what I meant! Don't be so pervert!"

Girls started laughing like crazy and Dušica just glared at them.

"You guys are so mean" she said trying to sound mad but failed when smile appeared on her face.

"And you are cute" Ana said and put her arms around Dušica's shoulders and kept walking with her.

Sam immediately frowned when she saw Ana so close to Dušica, but she knew she couldn't actually do anything because she didn't even have any right to do so.

They came at house and it already was 4pm. They decided to make some kind of pool party and Dušica gave them all some new swimming suits.

She had little prank for them and she couldn't wait for it to happen. She smiled deviously and went to find Mia still in her normal clothes.
