Chapter 48

Sam's P.O.V.

I've been sitting here for quite some time, not talking anymore, just staring at our hands. Some of doctors will probably come soon to send me out but I don't care.

I feel weak, not as physically as much mentally. I just want to lay down next to her, and wait for her to wake up. I want her to know that I am here, waiting for her.

Lost in my thoughts, I heard groan and my head snapped at her way. She was awake, looking at me. I opened my mouth, to scream from happiness or something, but voice just couldn't leave my body, although my lips were forming words. I was waving with my hands in the air because I couldn't really touch her, I was scared I could hurt her.

Without thinking I ran out of the room on the hallway.

"SHE'S AWAKE!" I screamed happily jumping up and down like some kid.

And doctor immediately rushed inside to check on her. Zoe and Nikola hugged and I was jumping-running towards Sarah who was laughing at me. I fell in her arms and lifted her from the ground.

"She's awake!" I said and she laughed even more.

I put her down and Zoe hugged me tightly.

"Thank you" she whispered and kissed my cheek.

Nikola joined hug and now we had a group hug! I am not big fan of hugs but who cares, my baby is awake.

"Let's call the others" I said and we decided to call them until doctor walked out.

Soon, everyone got the news and doctor walked out. I was so happy I could just hug him. He was smiling widely.

"So?" Zoe asked with her hand on my back.

"Everything is fine. She is okay, with no problems. You can go and see her but try not to get her tired much" he said and Nikola shook his hand.

"Sam, go" he said and we all looked at him shocked.

"What?" I asked dumbfounded.

"You have two minutes to be alone with her and then we are coming in as well to see our baby" he said and smile wasn't leaving his face all the time.

I jumped and kissed his cheek before running to the room. Wait, Sam. Just when I was about to opened the door, hand on the knob, I stopped for second to calm down and took a deep breath. I opened the door and walked slowly towards her, smiling like na idiot and biting my lip.

Before I could sit or even say anything she looked up at me confused.

"W-Who are you?" she asked slowly and I sit down, my legs failing me.

What?

What?

What the fuck?

My breath hitched in my throat. Everything I was scared of is happening right now. I don't understand anything. Almost all  happiness I felt when I saw her waking up disappeared.

"Wh-what?" I asked slowly, my heart breaking all over again...

She just stared at me.

"Babe I'm kidding" she said and chucked.

"Aaaghh" I screamed.

"Oi babe not do loud" she groaned and I stopped immediately.

God, I wanted to punch every part of her body but instead I was punching the air in annoyance.

"I hate you!" I mumbled and she smiled, god that smile.

"I love you" she said and reached for my hand, I glared at her but she pouted so I rolled my eyes and took her hand happily.

"You scared me to death" I said referring at her accident and what she did right now.

"Kiss me" she said out of nowhere, guess like she doesn't want to talk about it.

"Your wish is my command" I said and she smirked.

"Oh please you are doing it gladly" she mumbled when I leaned forward and I hummed in response.

Just when I was inch away from her door opened. I groaned but didn't pull away.

"I don't care who is there right now, I'm kissing her no matter what" I said not even looking their way and she giggled before I placed my lips on hers.

It felt so good, like she brought me back to life. I missed this feeling, butterflies in my stomach, her skin against mine. I pulled away and smiled, my hair falling on her face.

"I'm alive again" she mumbled with big smile and I kissed her nose before pulling away.

Nikola, Zoe and Sarah were standing on a doorway smiling like crazy I just shrugged and sat back down.

"We heard screams" Zoe said "But we didn't want to interrupt" Sarah added and I glared at her but she just smirked.

Dušica tried to laugh but instead started coughing.

"Calm baby" I said and she nodded.

So then Zoe and Nikola came by other side of her bed and Sarah sat next to me. Zoe kissed her forehead and smiled.

"How do you feel, little one?" Nikola asked with smile.

"Like I just came from hell" she mumbled.

"I swear to god I'll throw something on you!" I said and she giggled.

"No you won't"

"Well we talked little more with a doctor, and he said you'd probably have to stay here for day or two just so they could keep an eye on you" Nikola informed.

We sat together for a while and soon Nikola and Zoe decided to leave us girls alone because Mia and Elena were on their way. When they left Sarah walked on other side and sat on the bed next to Dušica.

"I knew you'd be here" Dušica said with smile and we both frowned.

"And how's that?" she asked with smile.

"I saw Alex" Dušica said casually and Sarah and I looked at each other.

"Wha-what?" Sarah asked and gulped, Dušica tried to move a little to have better look at her but couldn't manage.

"Okay I know this might sound weird but while I was unconscious I was with her. We talked and she said" she stopped for second and sighed "well she said that she still loves you but you have to find someone and move on" she mumbled last part and looked away, anywhere but at Sarah.

Her eyes met mine and she smiled sadly. I looked over at Sarah who had tears in her eyes. Dušica sighed and took her hand. Sarah smiled and kissed her cheek.

"Thank you" she mumbled and Dušica smiled.

Well, okay this was kinda weird, but we got over it before Mia and Elena came. Ana and Emili were here. We joked around, talked what was going on for last couple of days and soon I could see Dušica getting tired.

"Okay guys, don't mean to be rude but I guess it's time for you to leave" I said and Dušica glared at me for being rude.

"Yep, I can feel sexual tension here right now" Mia said and other smirked which made me and Dušica groan in annoyance.

"Yeah, we should go" Ana mumbled "Duh, I'm not in mood for live porn" Elena added and they left while laughing and I sighed.

"They are so childish" I mumbled and Dušica laughed.

"That's why we love them"

"I don't know about you, but sometimes I wonder why are we even friends with them" I said and she playfully pinched my arm which made me laugh.

"Are you tired?" I asked and she shook her head.

"Nope" she answered cutely.

"Baby I know you, no need to lie to me" I said and she groaned.

"I don't want to sleep and leave you again" she mumbled and I sat next to her on bed.

"Then I'll just sleep with you" I said with smile "and I'll be here when you wake up"

"Promise?" she asked and I nodded.

She moved at little, at least as much as she could, and made space for me to lay next to her. I climbed on bed and she put her head on my shoulder.

"This bed is so uncomfortable." I mumbled and she chuckled.

"You can always sleep on me, you know" she said and I pinched her hand playfully.

"Not now" I said and she groaned. "I wonder where are doctors to kick me out"

"Do you want them to come and kick you out?" she asked while looking at me with raised eyebrow.

"Hell no!" I said and she smiled seductively.

"Then shut up" she mumbled and moved forward placing her lips on mine.

I cupped her cheeks and smiled into the kiss. We broke away, panting for air.

"I missed you so much" I mumbled and my expression sadden while remembering everything that happened for past few days "I was about to kill everyone" I added and she chuckled.

"I'm not leaving you ever ever again princess" she said gently and I kissed her forehead.

"You better not"

It's been few months since all that happened. Dušica is feeling great now, she didn't have any problems and doctor was like this is miracle. I mean, dude what else could you expect from her???

Anyway, we've practically been living together for this time and we are better than ever. Everything is finally amazing and we are happy.

We are at my place today. I just woke up so I decided to take a shower while she is downstairs making breakfast.

Uh have I mentioned that tomorrow's my birthday? Well yeah, guess like I'm finally 18.  My parents want to make one big party for family and then one for friends but honestly I AM NOT IN MOOD... I just wanna spend time with my girl and that's all. She understand that I don't want anything big so she promised to talk with my mom, god I hope she'll just see it's not what I want. My mom basically listen more to Dušica than me. Can you imagine that?! But, seriously I'm happy my parents love her, damn I'm happy our families are totally chill and friendly towards each others.

Suddenly, while in shower, I heard scream. I turned water off, and immediately heard like something is breaking downstairs. What the hell is this girl doing down there??? I thought she just broke glass or something but then I heard another scream and voices that definitely aren't hers. Without thinking I just put shirt on and ran out of the bathroom.

When I looked downstairs, I was chilled by a  cold sweat. Everything was a mess, every single thing was broken and out of place and Dušica was no where to be found. Door were opened and knob was broken. No, no, no this can't be happening. I don't know what to do. My whole body is shaking I'm trying to take my phone and call someone but I just can't even hold it.

Zoe, Nikola and my parents are here. They are talking something but no one of them is freaking out! What the hell? They are way too calm. I'm walking around the apartment like like crazy. They don't want to call the police because that will only draw attention, so Nikola sent all his people to try and find her.

Suddenly my phone ring and I ran towards living room to pick up. Without looking who it was I answered.

"Babe?" I asked and all the eyes were on me.

Laugh. Unfamiliar voices coming from the other side.

"Not so easy, princess" he said, his voice awfully rough.

"Where is she?" I asked my voice shaking and he laughed again.

"You'll get her" he said slowly like was bored "but you need to get me 10millions dollars tonight at 8"

"Where?" I asked without thinking.

"I'll text you the address" he said "and if someone else comes with you, she will be dead, if you call the police she will be dead. So watch carefully what you are doing"

"I swear to god, if you hurt her I'll kill you" I mumbled and hung up.

Others looked at me but they heard everything so Nikola was already on his phone calling someone to bring the money. I sighed and leaned back on the furniture with my hands over my face.

"What are we going to do?" dad asked and I glared at him.

"What do you mean what are we going to do? I'm going to go there and it's going to end" I said and they groaned. "Come on, don't be like kids you know that's the only way"

"You are being a kid here, Sam" Zoe said "what if they decide to do something to you as well? What are we going to do then? My daughter will kill me if something bad happens to you!" she said and I rolled my eyes ignoring the rest of conversation.

Whatever they say, it won't change my mind. I'm going there.

It's almost time, I have address on my phone, two bags with money are in front of me. Other are just walking back and forth and I'm waiting for a right moment.

These four were so busy with their conversation that I just slowly stood up, took bags with me and sneaked out. Okay, this was too easy? What the hell are they thinking about? But whatever, I hurried down the hallway and in elevator. Everything's going to be just fine, I told to myself. I turned my phone off and sighed.

Here I am at abandoned road not so far away. Okay, it's seriously creepy over here. No one and I mean literally no one is around. Suddenly I heard car coming from behind, I turned around and sighed.

"Here goes nothing" I mumbled and car stopped, never turning off the engine.

Some guy in black suit climbed out and looked at me with smirk.

"Sam Mett, such a pleasure to finally meet you" he said and walked closer.

"Where is she?" I asked, ignoring his remark.

"First the money, then you'll see her" he said and just throw the bags in front of him. "Nice" he mumbled and someone grabbed me from behind stabbing my neck with something and soon everything went black.

Dear god, my head hurts, I tried to open my eyes but groaned from the pain. Something is so loud I don't get this shit. I peeked and everything was black.

"What the hell?" I mumbled and tried to move my hands but looks like they were tied.

"Don't bother princess" oh that voice again.

It's a wonder I could hear it with all this noise around. I guess like I'm blindfolded.

"Where am I?"

"In helicopter." he said casually.

"What?" I gasped and he laughed.

"I'm taking you to see my boss" he said and I chuckled.

"I knew you are not in charge" I said and he laughed together with someone else? I sighed and leaned backwards.

"Where is she?" I asked after some time.

"She's there" he said "we'll be there soon anyway. If you'd like to see your girl you'll have to find her"

"What?" I asked and turned my head at place where voice was coming for.

I felt like he was near me and then he took off blindfold from my face and put some paper in my hands. I realized that I am not tied hard, like they didn't want to hurt me or something. I looked down at paper at my hands and back at him.

"What is this?"

"Map of the island" he said... Island, we are on fucking island "when we come there if you want to find your girl you'll have to follow this map"

"You are kidding right?" I asked dumbfounded and he shook his head which made me sigh "okay, what time is it?"

"Almost midnight"

Great, I'll just spend my birthday like this, I'd die for her but this looks like these guys are just making fun of me.

"We'll be here in 5" other guy said and this one nodded.

"So, on the map, you are here" guys said and pointed at one spot on the map "and you have to come here" he added and pointed at other side.

"Well okay, it doesn't look like much" I mumbled and he nodded.

"It isn't, you won't need more than 10 minutes to get there" he said and smiled, what the fuck, dude you are supposed to be the person who kidnapped me and not someone who smile at me.

"It's basically me just going straight" I mumbled and he laughed lightly.

"How ironic right?" he asked and I just glared at him without answering.

We finally landed and he helped me out, he untied my hands and I glared at him.

"Don't glare princess, just go there" he said and want back in the helicopter and they took off.

I sighed and took map at my hands, trying to follow it. Okay, I have no idea what is going to happen next but I am going to find my girl no matter what. Beach is nice and nature here is really beautiful, ocean is calm and moon is reflexing on the water, I'd probably enjoy this if I wasn't so tensed up.

I guess I am somewhere in the middle and indeed I could see light in front of me, without thinking I started running and when I got there, there was big circle made of candles and panels.  Wait, what the fuck?

"Babe?" Dušica's voice came from behind me, I turned around fast as light.

She was standing there looking beautiful as ever, it didn't look like she just was kidnaped at all. I ran towards her jumping in her arms.

"Oh god" I said and pulled away to take a better look at her "what's going on in here?" I asked and she smiled.

"Wait" she mumbled and pushed me away a little with big smile and I frowned. "Look" she started and sighed "I am seriously not good in this stuff, whole week I was thinking what to say and I just realized there is only one good way to do this" she said and kneeled down taking little box from her back pocket and I started shaking my head, she is not doing this, she opened the box with a beautiful ring "We have only one lives and I feel that we should spend it in the company of the person who matters the most. I cannot imagine life without you and never want to be in a situation when you are not part of my life. So, Samantha Mett" she never calls me Samantha but this is the first time I actually liked when someone calls me that, tears of happiness already running down my face "will you make me the happiest person alive and marry me?" she asked and but her lips nervously and I nodded rapidly.

"Y-Yes" I said and she chuckled while one tear slid down her cheek. "Yes, yes, yess!"

She got up and tried to put the ring on my finger but our hands were shaking too much. It finally was on my finger and I jumped on her, both of us falling down. she pulled me into her kissing me deeply. I cupped her face and bit her lip.

"Happy birthday, my love" she said and I giggled before kissing her again.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" someone screamed from other side and when I looked up I saw my parents, her parents and grandparents, our close friends and Willy with guys who "kidnapped" me.

"So, all this kidnaping thing was just your idea for a proposal?" I asked and she nodded and I started punching her while she laughed like crazy.

"You stupid idiot, do you know how worried I was?" I asked and she giggled "I might have heard" she said and kissed me again, beach sand in my hands.

"Ehem we are still there" Mia, yep I'm sure that is Mia, said and we groaned waving our hands.

"Just got away!" Dušica mumbled but loud enough for everyone to hear and go away.

We were kissing there for few minutes and I just lay on her, her arms wrapped around me protectively.

"I love you so much" she said and tucked strand of my hair behind my ear.

"Volim te" I said and she laughed before kissing me again.

Third person's P.O.V.

So Sam learned that this island is actually private island of Nikolić family. Two girls were just on their way towards the house where everyone were staying in.

When they were close they saw people dancing outside, on the beach, some even swimming in the ocean, music playing loud, people drinking, eating and having fun.

"I know you didn't want a party, buuut" Dušica said and Sam smiled.

"You are forgiven" she mumbled and pecked Dušica's cheek.

"Girls!" someone said and they needed to break that eye contact they had.

"Mom" Sam said and hugged her happily, she was so happy, she could go around and kiss all this people.

"I am so happy for two of you! My daughter-in-law!" She whined happily and hugged Dušica which made the girl smile.

They talked with their parents a little, Dušica thanked them for everything they did for them today and before. Dušica was super happy everything went as planned.

It was already really late, but people were still outside, Elena was trying to find Mia and she finally found her in the kitchen laughing her ass off while Sam and Dušica basically yelled at each other.

"Nikolić!" Sam would say while Dušica was like "Mett!"

"What the hell is going on?" Elena asked while walking towards Mia.

"They are fighting about which last name to use when they get married" she said and two of them started laughing together. "They just got engaged and they are already arguing"

"They are cute though" Elena said and wrapped her arms around her girlfriend, the other two still arguing.

"Yeah, they are" Mia said and kissed Elena "but not as cute as we are"

"We heard that!" Both, Sam and Dušica said at the same time and four friends laughed together.
