We walked into the hall, me latching onto Jessica and staying close to her.

"I'm really sorry for how long it took. Now there are 2 main things I want to talk to you about."

I nodded my head and tightened my hold on Jess.

"Well he shattered his radius. Somehow when he landed, his bodyweight fell into it and with the angle and speed, it shattered the bone. He'll need surgery but don't worry, I've got alot of experience with this type of surgery."

Oh God. My poor baby. He's never been admitted before and now surgery.

"The second thing. He was gone for so long because when we took the xray we noticed a mass so we took him for an MRI and we found a mass in his arm."

"A mass?"

Mass equals cancer right?

I felt Jess's arm come around my waist and give it a squeeze.

"Yes a mass. We'll need to do a biopsy on it. We can take him into the OR in an hour and repair his arm and do the biopsy."

"So I need to sign anything?"

"I'll have someone bring over papers soon."

She left and I turned to cry into Jess.

"He could be dying Jess."

"I know baby but let's not think that okay? Let's not jump to conclusions yet. Now dry your tears beautiful and let's go to the little man."

She took her hands from my waist and dried my tears for me before kissing my forehead.

"I'm here for you and Alec baby. Whatever you two need. I love you."

"I love you too. You're too kind."

She smiled and grabbed my hand dragging me into the room.

I sat on the bed next to Alec and Jess went to Taylor, presumably to let her know what happened.

I saw her look over at us while I held Alec.

"So bud. You're gonna go to sleep in abit and when you wake up mummy will be here and you'll be all better."

"Will Jessy be here too? And Tay?"

"Yes baby. And your grandmas too."

"Yayyyy. Can I have ice cream mummy?"

I shook my head and smiled.

"No bud but after you wake up, I'll get you anything you want okay?"

"Okay mummy. When will grandmas be here?" I looked at my son and didn't exactly know how to answer that but thankfully the door opened and they came in.

"Well right now." Alice walked up to us while Dana, who held a few bags went to Taylor.

"I missed you sweet boy."

"I missed you too. I broke my arm."

Alice came up to us and hugged me before sitting down by Alec. I went to sit with Jess, Dana and Taylor.

"It's going to be okay honey."

I looked towards Dana and moved towards her, letting myself sit with her in her arms, needing some motherly comfort.

"He's going to be okay honey."

The doctor came in shortly after and took my baby away. We all kissed him on the head before he went in.

"Food's cold but I can run out and get more?"

I turned to Jess from my place between Alice and Dana.

"No no baby it's okay."

I left Alice and Dana and went to sit next to Jess who had an asleep Taylor's head in her lap.

She leaned over and kissed my head, wrapping her free arm around me.

"I love you." she whispered in my ear as she have it a gentle kiss.

"I love you back."

I leaned my head against her and closed my eyes as I heard my mums talk.

"What's this about love?"

"You love our baby?"

I felt her head move up and down.

"You know she's not alone right? She has a beautiful baby boy."

"I know."

"And that beautiful baby boy might have cancer."

"I'm well aware. I have nothing but the best intentions with your daughter and Alec. And now that they're living with us, whatever they need, they'll get. I'll take care of both of them."

"You're living together?! Baby it's been less than a week. What if she's a serial killer or some kind of psycho?"

I have literally no energy to argue today, so without lifting my head, I answered her.

"She's not and I love her more than words can describe. Now I'm exhausted so I'd appreciate it we could all get some rest and if you could stop hating on my woman. I love all of you. Goodnight."

With that said I started dozing off slowly.

"Wake up angel."

I felt myself being shaken.

"Feeling rested?"

I nodded my head and saw my mums asleep, as well as Taylor.

"Have you slept?"

She shook her head and pointed towards the approaching Dr Robbins.

"Hey guys. So I wanted to let you know everything was a success and you should get the results within a week. He's up in recovery. I can take you guys to him?"

I nodded and we woke everyone up before heading to the room. I sent Jess home with Taylor. They both needed rest. But they both promised to be back later in the day since it's 3am.

"You and Jess are really getting serious hey."

"We are."

I looked over at Alec sleeping as Alice came up and hugged my from behind, Dana joining us.

"We love you and she loves you too. If she hurts you, she'll have to deal with us."

I smiled and nodded.

"Get some rest baby. We'll wake you if he wakes but I doubt he will."

I made a small bed for myself on the couch while mom's cuddled on the chair next to the bed.

I woke up a few hours later to see everyone still passed out. The type read 8am. I checked my phone and saw a message from Jess.

Jessy❤️: Good morning beautiful angel. Taylor and I just got up. We have some stuff to do but we should be there before 9am. About 8:30? We'll bring food. I love you.

I didn't bother texting back because I knew they'd be here soon. And I was right. When I got out of the bathroom, Taylor was on her phone, and so was Jess.

I walked over and hugged Taylor first before going to Jess.

"I love you back baby." I whispered as I hugged her tight, sitting back down in her arms.

"I know my love. But you know it's rude to leave a person you love on read right? Especially the woman you love."

"I know. I'm sorry. Do you have food?"

I looked up at her eyes and they held nothing but love. For me.

"Why yes my lady I do." she picked me up and put me on the floor before going and fetching a bag with pancakes inside.

"Just because you gave me food doesn't mean you get to call me yours." I said as I took a bite of the incredible pancakes. They were fluffy and soft and most importantly very brown. Just how I like them.

"Well in that case, be mine Andy Moore?"

I nodded and carried on eating, not even looking at her because damn was I hungry. I devoured 3 pancakes in less than 5 minutes before packing the rest up.

"Thank you for breakfast my baby."

"You are welcome my love."

I put the packet away and went back to her arms.

"I love you baby." I whispered to her, clinging onto her.

"I love you too my girlfriend." she whispered back, kissing my head.

"Hmm yes. Yours."

"Yes Andy. You're mine. As I am yours. But you're your own person okay? I won't force you into anything."

"I know baba. I know."

"Baba?" I looked up at her and nodded at the name I just called her.

"I love it angel."

"Ugh your cuteness is revolting."

We turned to look at Taylor who was fake gagging at the sight of us.

I rolled my eyed and stuck my tongue out at her.

"How mature Andy" she said with a laugh.

"I know what it is. You're not getting enough love."

I got up and went over to her, giving her a hug.

"I love you kid."

"I love you too ma."

She hugged me back and I felt my taller girlfriend hug us both. She kissed both our heads.

"And I adore you both."

"Whatever you guys."

"Shut up. All of you are making noise."

We all turned to see Alice awake.

"I love you too mum."

She's never been a morning person and detests mornings. Until after she's had caffeine, she isn't pleasant to talk to. Unless your name is Alec or Dana.

She woke Dana up who immediately kissed and hugged her.

"Good morning my love. And good morning to everyone else."

We all mumbled mornings in return to her greeting.

"We're going to head home once our baby wakes up."

"Okay. I'm staying with him until he's discharged."

"Okay baby."

"I'm going to go too once Alec wakes. Taylor will stay with you."

I turned back to look at her with puppy dog eyes.

"Where are you going baby?" I stuck my bottom lip out and she just chucked and pecked it.

"To the apartment my love. I'll pack everything of yours and Alec's and move it in to the house."

"Noooo." I frowned and looked at her with a half pout, half frown.

"What is it my love?"

"Stay. Please?"

I didn't want her to leave. I need her here with me.

"Of course my love. Come here."

I walked into her arms and hugged her.

"I won't leave baby. We can do it together later or I can get someone to do it."

"Can you get someone please? I don't wanna go back there."

"We'll do it."

We turned to Alice and Dana and I thanked them.

"Thank you. You guys are welcome to stay at our home as long as you like. But my sister is sleeping right now so she'll probably be awake when you get there."

"Thank you. When do you think he'll wake up?"

"The doc said in a few hours after surgery so probably soon."

We settled back into small conversations among, them getting to know Jessica and Taylor better. And of course them telling her their story of how they were married so quickly. I just sat back and prayed for my son while also enjoying my family talking.
