Chapter 192 Come To My Place Tonight

Lysander stood behind Josiah’s broad back, completely unable to see what was happening in front. All she heard were a few bone–chilling snaps, followed by a blood–curdling scream from Leo, akin to an animal being slaughtered.

“Cut the cr*p and stop playing games with me. Didn’t you understand when I told you to let her go?”

Leo found himself sprawled across the pool table in an awkward position, his wrist twisted behind the back by Josiah. His face was flushed from the pain. “I get it, I get it! Josiah, please let go…”

“I’ve told you countless times to stop causing trouble!”

“You’re already engaged to Lysanne, so sooner or later… Ahh- Lysanne, help me- Ahhh—”

Lysanne watched as Leo yelled in pain, fearfully saying, “Josiah…”

“Shut up! It’s exactly because you’ve always been shielding him that he’s turned into this good–for–nothing!”

Lysanne bit her lip, daring not to speak any more.

She stood behind Josiah, wearing a pitiful expression.

With a meaningful look, Josiah said, “Lysander, take your sister and leave.”

Without any hesitation, Lysander went over and grabbed Michelle. “Michelle, get a grip. Let’s go.”

At this point, Michelle had fallen into a drunken stupor, becoming limp and slumping down onto a nearby chair. No matter what, she couldn’t be roused.

Lysander was so furious that she gritted her teeth. She looked down at her drunken sister, gently patted her face, and said, “Michelle!”

Michelle furrowed her brows, muttering under her breath. She shifted her position before falling asleep again

Right at that moment, Zachary arrived. “Lysander!”

Immediately, Lysander felt as if her savior had arrived. “Zachary, over here!”

Zachary rushed over, panting heavily. “What happened? How did Michelle get this drunk?”

Lysander was exasperated. “This girl’s never had a drop of alcohol before. She drank too much too fast and has already vomited once. Yet, she’s still this drunk. I can’t even move her.”

Upon seeing the situation, Zachary took off his coat and handed it to Lysander, saying, “Hold this for me.””

Lysander quickly took the over in her hands as Zachary squatted down, lifting Michelle into his arms.

However, it wasn’t easy moving her.

“Well, well, this girl has been eating quite well lately.”

Lysander unfolded his jacket, draping it over his sister’s shoulders. “Can you do it? If not, I can call the waiter over to help…”

Zachary laughed. “Lysander a man should never say he can’t do it”

Zachary laughed. “Lysander, a man should never say he cant do it.

Lysander paused for a moment, speechless, and said, “Is this really the time for such lame jokes?”

Zachary’s voice softened. “I noticed you were extremely nervous. Don’t be scared. I’m here now. I promise to. get both you and Michelle home safely.”

“No, we can’t go home,” Lysander stated. “If my parents sec Michelle in this drunken state, they will be absolutely livid.”

“What should we do then? She’s p*ssed drunk. We need to find a place for her to sleep.”

“Let’s find a hotel. I’ll stay with her for the night.”

After some thought, Zachary shook his head. “Having you two girls stay at a hotel would only worry your parents. Here’s an idea, my company has provided me with an apartment. Both of you can stay there for the night.”

“Wouldn’t that be too intrusive?”

“Why are you being a stranger? Let’s go.”

“Wait a moment-“Josiah called out to him. “You’re Mr. Powell, right?”

Zachary recognized Josiah, replying in an apologetic tone, “I’m sorry, Mr. Guerra. I was in such a rush to pick up the sisters that I didn’t have the chance to greet you. Are you also here to have a good time?”

Before Josiah could speak, Zachary politely smiled and nodded at Lysanne. “Oh, so you’ve brought Mrs. Guerra with you. You two are truly inseparable. You’re just making everyone envious.”
