Lysander smiled, continuing on her way.

Zachary was incredibly uneasy, shadowing her closely. “Lysander, I’m struggling to comprehend your intentions. Can you possibly provide me with an answer so I can at least understand, even if it kills me?”

Lysander halted in her tracks, turning around to face him. “Zachary,” she began, “There are two things I need to clarify with you.”

“Sure, go on.”

“Firstly, I haven’t developed feelings for you yet. In fact, it seems like I’m unsure of how to like someone.”

The light in Zachary’s eyes slowly faded away,

That was especially the case when he heard her say, “I don’t have feelings for you.”

“However, I also want to share my thoughts with you sincerely. My parents and my sister like you very much. Mdm. Camila also mentioned this to me. I’ve been thinking about it for a few days, and I believe that if we were together, life would probably be quite good.”

The pregnant woman couldn’t hold back her tears at that moment, clutching her hand as she cried out in heart–wrenching sobs.

Lysander felt somewhat relieved. It was a good thing she had used waterproof band–aids. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been able to withstand the onslaught of tears.

After finally soothing this patient, Lysander flipped through other medical records. As she walked, she asked. “What about Priscilla? How is she doing?”

Lynn’s expression turned peculiar.

Lysander halted. “Speak up. What happened to her? Did her mother–in–law really take her to Hestrya to find. out the gender of the baby?”

Lynn licked her lips, then said, “Her mother–in–law claimed that our hospital’s obstetricians weren’t professional enough. She knew someone at another hospital and insisted that Priscilla be transferred there.”

“Did the director also agree?”

Lynn spread her hands out. “What else can we do if they don’t agree? Harry and his mother are in complete agreement. If the director insists on interfering, divorce is the only option left.”
