Chapter 215 Meeting Adrian Again

Lysander was surprised. “Who’s the groom?”

“It’s Niel from the anesthesiology department! You didn’t know? They started dating back in college. It’s been five or six years now.”

Lysander really didn’t know,

She didn’t know much about her colleagues‘ relationship status, other than knowing that Lynn was single without a boyfriend. She wouldn’t ask about the rest, and they wouldn’t tell her either.

“Dr. Thorne, will you go with me?”

Lysander thought for a moment, then sent a message to Zachary, asking him how his interview went.

Zachary replied quickly: Just got out. It feels pretty good. But I might not be able to pick you up today. There’s some unfinished work at the architectural design company, and my boss needs it urgently.

Lysander replied: Work is important. You do your thing.

Lynn leaned in and asked her, “Who is it?”

Lysander put away her phone. “Lynn, I have a question for you.”

“Ask away.”

“Linda and Dr. Niel are getting married, so how much money should everyone give as a wedding gift?”

Lynn slapped her forehead. “Oh dear, I’ve been so absorbed in writing my thesis these past I’ve completely forgotten about it. Let me ask around…

After work in the evening, Linda came over and knocked on the door with a beaming smile.

“Dr. Thorne, Lynn, are you done with your work?”

Lynn nodded repeatedly. “Yeah, we’re done. Are we leaving now?”

Their party came in six cars in total. Linda and Niel drove their own car, four cars were rented, and one even trailed directly behind Linda and Niel’s car into the parking lot.

After the car came to a stop, Adrian got out.

When they met, Adrian politely nodded at her. “Dr. Thorne.”

She hadn’t seen Adrian in a while.

Soon, another girl, seemingly in her early twenties, got out of his car and walked over to his side with a smiling face. “Dr. Sutton! Who is this?”

Adrian politely introduced, “This is Dr. Thorne from our hospital’s obstetrics and gynecology department. Dr. Thorne, this is my girlfriend. Sarah.”

Lysander greeted, “Nice to meet you.”

Sarah, holding Adrian’s arm, giggled. “Nice to meet you too, Dr. Thorne.”

Adrian turned his head and said to Sarah, “Let’s head inside.”

“Okay!”

Watching the two people leave, Lynn sighed with a hint of regret. “Dr. Sutton is such a good man. What a pity.”

Lysander asked with a smile, “Why? Dr. Sutton is handsome, and the girl is pretty. They’re a good match.”

“I feel pity for you.”

“Don’t be silly. Let’s go.”

As they entered Mirage, there were already some people inside.

They seemed to be other friends of Linda and Niel.

About ten colleagues from the hospital had come over. A few of them were from the anesthesiology department, who were quite familiar with Niel and Adrian. From the obstetrics and gynecology department, there were only Lysander and Lynn.

Seeing that they were on their own, Linda took the initiative to approach them. “Dr. Thorne, Lynn, if you’re feeling bored, there are some entertainment facilities nearby. You can go and have some fun.”

Lynn indeed had this intention. She handed the gift money to Linda, then hurriedly dragged Lysander to a pool table.
