Lysander chuckled. “For your team–building event, I’m just an extra at most. Did they specifically wait for me?”

“Yeah, our boss heard you’re an gynecologist at Central Hospital and wanted to meet you.”

“Mect me?”

“Yeah, his wife is due soon. He probably wants to consult you about something.”

Lysander said, “They could just make an appointment to meet me at the hospital.”

Zachary pressed her shoulder, gently urging her into the passenger seat. He then closed the door.

He quickly got into the driver’s seat and started the car.

“Having a child is a matter of great importance in life. Our department head is over forty this year, and hist wife is probably almost forty as well. There might be concerns about her being of advanced maternal age. It just happens that I have this connection with you, so they thought they’d ask you first to have a better idea.”

The car was already moving, and Lysander couldn’t easily get out.

“Where’s your team–building?”

“I told our boss that you like peace and quiet, not noisy places. Originally, we were going to karaoke, but our boss booked a private restaurant for a meal instead. The ambiance there is quite nice and not noisy.”

Lysander felt a bit overwhelmed. “Why don’t we meet alone tomorrow? Tell him to bring the recent prenatal examination results. Today’s your team–building. Young people probably prefer karaoke or escape rooms, right? No need to accommodate me.”

Zachary smiled. “You don’t understand. Young people don’t like team–building.”

This was actually true.

Central Hospital also organized some team–building activities, but it was hard for medical workers to find. the time and energy to participate. If they had time, they would rather go home and catch up on their sleep instead of joining any team–building activities.

But in this spacious room, there weren’t the expected twenty or thirty people, just four, which consisted of two couples.
