Josiah directly took the phone from her hand without any politeness. “Move aside.”

Lysanne muttered, “Can’t you speak nicely? I’m pregnant. Be mindful of your tone.”

“All right, Miss Thorne. Please leave here and clear the way in front of the door, can you?”

“Josiah, stop being sarcastic with me!”

He couldn’t be bothered with her.

He grabbed her arm and pushed her out, then opened the door and walked out.

“What now?!”

Lysanne pouted. “Why are you angry? You never let me see your phone. It’s normal for me to suspect something fishy. Why are you snapping at me?”

“Let’s talk about the matter at hand.”

“Take out the trash.”

Josiah turned and left.

She added, “I’ve put everything in the big cardboard box on the balcony. Just take it down and throw it away.”

He couldn’t even be bothered to respond. After changing his clothes, he went straight to the balcony.

There was a large box on the balcony; but it didn’t seem to contain trash. Instead… there were a lot of daily necessities.

Most of them were women’s clothing. He recognized them at a glance. They all belonged to Lysander. She hadn’t had the chance to take them away yet.

In addition to clothes, there were also the plush toys she had collected before, as well as the succulents she had raised and even the fish she had raised.

It was dead.

The dead fish was mixed in with the clothes, making them all covered in dirty slime, with a hint of fishy smell.

The doorbell rang.

Josiah clenched his jaw and went to open the door.

“Good morning, Josiah and Lysanne!”

Josiah frowned. “What brings you here?”

“I’m here to deliver a sound system for Lysanne!”

Josiah turned to Lysanne. “A sound system?”

Lysanne nodded. “Yes. It’s for me to listen to prenatal music.”

Aiden teased. “Lysanne, you’re using rock music for prenatal education? This child might be a drummer in the womb.”

Lysanne scoffed. “Stop joking and hurry up and set it up.”

“Got it!”

“Wait.” Josiah interrupted. “Take it away.”
