Gooch and Schwoz exchange whispers and glances as they carried duffle bags and suitcases with them to the front of the store.

Unfortunately all their efforts of being sneaky was thrown out the window as the sleep deprived teen who worked after hours popped out from behind the counter with a yawn.

"--and uh, where are you two going?" Y/n questioned as the two men paused at the third voice behind them and turned to look at the boy in surprise.

They stiffened and opened their mouths to speak but no words or explanation came out as they immediately bolted toward the door despite their shoes almost tripping over their the other.

The teen blinked as he sat there thinking to himself on why they acted that way and it finally clicked into his head.

"--Cowards!"

Henry and Charlotte enter Junk n Stuff soon after as the girl blinked and pointed in the direction the two grown men took off.

"What are those two running from?" She asked the teenager who was sitting behind the counter seething with anger.

"Ray."

"W-why?" Henry spoke nervously as they both walked toward the counter cautiously and Y/n chewed his lip in frustration.

"Because.. today's his super anniversary and that means he's gonna be in a shi--very bad mood all day." He said as he switched up his choice in vocabulary and the two of them raise their eyebrows.

"Super?"

"..what's shi--?" The blonde questioned as the teen blinked shook his head with a soft chuckle.

"Don't stress your innocent little head over it, blondie. Ray's Super Anniversary is the day when he first got densitized and became indestructible." Y/n answered as Henry pouted beside Charlotte with a light but noticable blush on his cheeks.

"Ooh, fun, we should celebrate!" The girl chimed excitedly as Y/n furrowed at her enthusiasm and her eyes widened in panic.

"I mean--noo! I..Is there a reason why he doesn't celebrate it?" She wondered and the blonde nodded swiftly as they both waited for a response.

"I think the answer is pretty obvious, isn't it? Cap hates his anniversary more than anything." Y/n murmured as he stood up straight on the stool with a heavy sigh.

"After his dad realized he was indestructible, he took him out of school and started training him to be a superhero. He feels--No, he's certain he missed out on all the fun of being a 'normal' average kid." Y/n explained and Charlotte slowly shook her head as she slumped her shoulders.

"Aw, that's so sad.."

"So, he never got to go camping and ride rollercoasters?" Henry mentioned and the teen hummed softly as remembered his own memories back at the orphanage.

"He never really learned how to ride a bike." Y/n commented truthfully as the shorter boy realized that he wasn't only talking about Ray.

Henry looks down as he recalls asking the tall man about Y/n but never received an actual answer to his question.

Most likely because of the incident he made in the mancave that Schwoz had ended up having to clean up.

"You okay, blondie?" The teen questioned worriedly as Henry blinked out of his thoughts and smiled sheepishly at the older boy.

"Oh, uhm y-yeah! sorry.." He apologized as Charlotte walked away to inspect an item that caught her attention on the other part of the store.

Y/n leaned forward to inspect Henry's face as the blonde made eye contact with their e/c colored ones and shortly became flustered under his gaze.

"..what?" He nearly whispered as the teen reached his hand up and playfully ruffled his hair.

"Just wondering if you'll grow taller than me." Y/n teased as Henry held back a smug grin making the teen laugh to his success.

The door to Junk n Stuff opens as a little girl walked into the store happily.

"Hey, need some help?" Henry called as Charlotte stood beside him and the kid tilted her head up in curiosity.

"I was just wondering if I could try out that piano over there?" She questioned and pointed at the item sitting near the corner as Henry smiled at her.

"Sure! Go ahe--"

"Sorry, kid. If you want to play it you're gonna have to buy the item and do that at home or let someone else take it instead." Y/n explained as he neared the three casually with his hands in his pocket.

"But I--"

"Store policy." He interrupted as he sent the little girl an icy glare that made her whimper and recoil in fear. She sobbed as she ran to the door and exited the store without another glance.

Henry and Charlotte gaped in disbelief as they turn to the H/c haired hero standing a couple meters away.

"What? She comes in here all the time." He retorted and Charlotte crossed her arms in disappointment while shaking her head.

"--but scaring her off though? that seemed a little too much.." Henry murmured while rubbing his arm and Y/n rolled his eyes.

"Oh, relax, will you? I was actually doing her a favor.. watch." Y/n said as Henry and Charlotte watched the teen approach the instrument.

Y/n knew the piano was very tiny to begin with but that didn't stop him from trying as he played a short number of notes that he picked up from the little girl who left in tears.

"Wow.." Charlotte whispered as Henry nodded and stared at his crush in awe and amazement.

"Hey, hey! Hey!" A voice shouted as Y/n kept playing and the sound of large footsteps grew closer.

An annoyed Ray pushes the curtain of beads out of his line of sight as he checked around the store for the loud source.

"What's all the racket out here?"

"Oh, uhm--It's just Y/n playing the piano." Henry explained as he pointed a finger at the busy teen who had his back turned the entire time.

"Hey!! What the butt, kid. Is peace and quiet too much to ask?!" Ray shouted bitterly as he grabbed a randon object off the side and threw it.

Y/n suddenly felt something heavy hit him upside the head as he abruptly stopped playing and fell to the ground in pain.

"Y/n!" Henry exclaimed as he ran to Y/n's aid and Charlotte frowned at the stressed taller man.

"Ray Manchester! Must you abuse your employees?" She scolded as he shook his head and waved her off.

"Ah, just forget everything!" He cried as the blonde used his lap as a cushion for the H/c haired teen.

"Stupid Super Anniversary.." Ray mumbled as he began to walk away and his hand landed on a decorative door knob sitting on the counter.

"This knob is still loose! Ohoh..!" He sobbed and murmured a couple cusses as he left to go back into the mancave.

"Well, I see why Gooch and Schwoz got out of here." Charlotte stated as Y/n scoffed and turned his head to glare at the darker skinned girl.

"Do you now?"

"Can I take off my blindfold now? I can't see a thing." Ray complained as he stumbled out of the elevator with Henry, Charlotte and Y/n.

"Isn't that kind of the point, Cap." The teen replied knowingly behind him and felt the man glare at him through the cloth.

"We're not going to let you fall." Henry assured him as they carefully led him to the middle of the room.

"But can't I just--" Ray began as he yelped when he felt his foot slip from underneath him and fell to the ground with a loud thud.

Y/n's eyes widened in shock when the man groaned at the impact as Henry turned to Charlotte and the two exchanged harsh whispers.

"So this is the surprise? You guys blindfold me and try to kill me?" He called as the two stopped bickering after receiving a pinch on their arm from the H/c haired teen.

"Please, we couldn't even if we tried.. Now, stop being a drama queen and wait for our signal." Y/n explained as he left Ray's side and ushered Henry and Charlotte to get into position.

The man hears some shuffling before it suddenly grows quiet and he raised his eyebrows in confusion.

"Okay, now you can whip off that blindfold." Charlotte chimed as Ray lifted the red cloth off his face and blinked a few times to get rid of the blur that clogged his vision.

"Happy super anniversary!" They exclaimed as the man looked at the pile of stuff and then frowned further at three who made jazz hands.

"I don't get it.."

"--You are going to have the ultimate kid's weekend of fun!" The girl stated and Henry nodded in agreement as the taller hero glanced at them cautiously.

"What? What are you guys talking about?" Ray questioned as Y/n went to go sit on the chair by the monitors and hummed.

"Well, since you've always loved 'moping' every year..!" He teased as the man rolled his eyes but let the boy continue.

"I told them how you missed out on being a real kid and so they planned on doing all the fun kid stuff you missed out on this weekend." Y/n answered truthfully as Ray's heart swelled up with warmth from the kind gesture they did just for him.

"What.. for real?"

"Yeah! Look we got camping equipment." Charlotte said as she pointed at the group of items sitting on the tiled floor.

"Ticket's to Six Poles Over Swellview." Henry listed and motioned his hand over to the map displayed on a white board.

"Cool new bikes!" Charlotte added as the man gasped and approached the red and [fav.color] bike with matching helmets.

"Whoa!" Ray whispered in amazement as he approached the red bike and the teen tilted his head.

"Hold on a minute.. why is there another bike? We only needed one." Y/n spoke as he stood up from his spot and the blonde swallowed nervously.

"W-well, when you told us he didn't know how to ride a bike.." He stammered as he found trouble finding his next words and the girl internally groaned at his hopelessness.

"--Henry here assumed that you didn't know how to ride one either from the way you kind of phrased it.. but i'm sure it was just a misunderstanding right?" Charlotte asked with a light chuckle as she waited for their response but it never came.

Henry watched the same look from earlier return on the H/c haired teen's face as Y/n shifted in his shoes and looked away.

"No, he was right.. I couldn't ride a bike even if I wanted to." He admitted weakly as the blonde felt a sudden pull of energy tugging at his chest and didn't hesitate to walk over to the other boy.

"And that's why we're going to teach you both!" Henry explained confidently as Y/n turned to him with a glint of hope shining in his eyes.

"Really..?" He questioned and a light blush spread across the blonde's cheeks as he nodded happily.

"Of course!" Henry cheered as the teen smiled brightly at his enthusiasm and embraced the shorter boy into a hug.

"Oh wow, you guys even got us matching T-shirts!" Ray shouted excitedly as he pointed at the clothing rack and Charlotte smiled with a nod.

"Yep!"

"For Ray's weekend of fum." The blonde pronounced as he pulled away to go show him the shirt design on the front.

"Fum?" Ray questioned and Y/n crossed his arms beside him with a soft chuckle.

"The T-shirts store messed up." Charlotte explained and the man just nodded in understanding.

"Oh, okay.. but why are there six T-shirts?" He mentioned and Y/n threw the blonde an awkward glance as Henry shuffled over to the darker skinned girl.

"..Tell Ray who's coming." Henry replied as he nudged her side with his arm and she slowly turns to glare at him before sighing in defeat.

"Our friend Jasper and Henry's little sister, Piper." Charlotte spoke as the man's face twisted into a very sour expression.

"what--No! Why!?"

"Well, Henry's little sister is basically on crutches.. So when we get to Six Poles, she'll be our pass to be at the front of the lines for every ride." Y/n answered as the man hummed in response to the idea.

"Ahh.. then why are we bringing their bucket-loving friend with the sweaty hands?" Ray remarked and Henry shook his head as Charlotte motioned toward the pile of junk by the cart.

"--Cause, that's Jasper's camping stuff."

"And when you get to know him, he's a lot of fum." The blonde chimed and the hero refrained from rolling his eyes.

"Now, put on the T-shirts and let the fum begin!" Charlotte called as the man grinned and placed his hand on the older boy's shoulder.

"You know, you guys are really nice to do all this.. Is it really time for me to put on my special T-shirt?!" Ray exclaimed as they nodded and gestured him to come forward.

"Go for it!"

"Yeah, get in there." Charlotte teased as a soft jingle rang around the man-cave and the girl looked up in confusion.

"Someone's ringing the bell upstairs." She announced as the blonde approached the monitor and Y/n followed them.

"It's probably Jasper and Piper, go ahead and let them in." He told him as the shorter boy nodded and pressed on a button that'll unlock the front door to Junk n Stuff.

"Move! I'm injured." Piper hissed as she hopped down the concrete steps and pushed Jasper out of the way while holding some crutches.

"Pushy.." He murmured while shaking his head as he looked around for Henry, Charlotte and Y/n.

"Hey guys! Where are you?!" Jasper called and the little girl boredly tucks her thumb into her pocket as she stood next to a barrel full of katana's.

"Hurry up!" She shouted impatiently as the curly haired boy slowly made his way around the back of the front counter and grinned proudly.

"You know, one day I would love to have my own store." He commented as Piper stared at him and then rolled her eyes.

"Yawn." She replied as Jasper ignored her and sat down on the stool while looking around the area.

He then spots something sticking out from the side and raised his eyebrows.

"Hey, there's a bunch of switches back here.." He announced as he leaned forward to look at the labels and gasped.

"Oh, this one says 'Dinosaur flames!" Jasper exclaimed and flipped one of the switches as the dinosaur prop glowed and breathed out actual flames.

"Yeah! I did that." He spoke as the annoyed little girl limped over to him with the crutches under her armpits.

"Yeahh, you're a big boy now." Piper answered sarcastically as she unknowingly stood below a full set of drums hanging from the ceiling.

"Ooh, this one says 'release drum set! I wonder what that does." Jasper said and did not hesitate to switch the lever again as Piper's eyes wandered around the store and eventually looked above in curiosity.

Her eyes widened in horror when she realized the rope came lose as she quickly moved out of the way before the drum set could fall right on top of her.

She watched as the instrument fell on the exact spot she was last standing on with a loud crash and turned to the curly haired boy angrily.

"You almost dropped an entire drum set on my head!!" She yelled in accusation as Jasper's mouth hung open in shock.

"N-Not an entire drum set! I didn't see any cymbals--" He stammered as another part of the instrument fell down on cue and the girl only shook her head in disappointment.

"Weird.. This one says 'emergency lockdown." Jasper read and hummed softly as he battled with the idea of touching the lever.

"Don't you flip that lever!" Piper warned as the curly haired boy looked at her and scoffed.

"Hey! I'm the big boy here." He replied while pointing at his chest as the little girl watched him flick the switch and an alarm suddenly goes off.

While the two were busy covering their ears from the loud noise, an invisible blue barrier made an appearance outside of junk n stuff.

"What did you do?!"

"Dah! It won't go up." Henry whined after he pointed a remote towards the sprocket and it stayed completely shut.

"Why won't this door open?" Charlotte questioned as she used her entire body to try and push the door open.

Y/n bangs his fist on the elevator as Ray stood below the tubes waiting for one to come down.

The man groaned at the button in his hand as the blonde turned and looked at him worriedly.

"What? The tube's not working either?" Henry asked him and the taller hero fixed his shirt while shaking his head.

"Nope.. We're on emergency lockdown." Ray explained as he walked down the short steps and then sighed.

"What does that mean?"

"It's part of our security system." The H/c haired teen added and the blonde crossed his arms over his chest.

"If some criminal finds out that we work here and tries to force his way in. Gooch or Y/n could flip a switch upstairs and lock the whole place down." The man answered as he gestured his hands over to the elevator that led back up to junk n stuff.

"but the only people upstairs now are Piper and.." Charlotte trailed off as the two kids closed their eyes and groaned.

"Jasper!" They exclaimed simultaneously as the man facepalmed and the blonde immediately reached into his pocket for his phone.

"Who you calling?" Charlotte asked and they all watched the shorter boy scroll down his contact list.

"Jasper. To let him know how to flip the--"

"Not gonna work." Ray interrupted as Henry and Charlotte exchange skeptical glances.

"Huh?"

"What he means is that lockdown mode blocks all transmitters and receivers, including cellphones/laptops/walkie talkies, etc.. you name it." Y/n listed as a certain little girl upstairs let out the most horrifying shriek and stared down at the phone in her hand.

"Piper, be quiet! I'm trying to open the door." Jasper scolded as he stood by the glass door that was strongly being protected from the outside.

"But my phone's not getting any signal!" She screamed and the curly haired boy leaned down to her height.

"Well, try moving around!" He stated pitifully and then turned his back on her as the little girl huffed.

She throws the crutches on the floor as she desperately holds her phone in the air trying to get one bar.

Piper walked around the store as the boy drifted his attention back to the door and reached for the knob in curiosity.

He yelped when he felt an electric shock zap his whole hand and hissed at the slight action.

"Ouch! You saw that? It's like a force field is blocking me from--and you're walking without crutches." Jasper said as he stared at the little girl in disbelief and she shrugged.

"So?"

"You don't have a sprained ankle." He mentioned and walked down the steps toward Piper.

"Dur." She scoffed as the curly haired boy crossed his arms and frowned. "Why'd you lie?" He questioned as the little girl rolled her neck tiredly and let out a frustrated sigh.

"Because- we're going to Six Poles to ride rollercoasters and when you're on crutches, they let you cut to the front of the line." She replied as Jasper crossed his arms and squinted at them in disapproval.

"..You're so baad!"

"Can't you cancel the lockdown?" Henry asked the man as he sat on the steps near the closed sprocket door and Charlotte silently paced beside the tubes.

"No.. Not for 48 hours." He answered truthfully as he quickly stood up and started walkiny away from the monitors.

"The whole thing is basically on a timer.. Once the lockdown is activated, this place is very similiar to a bank vault." Y/n added and the taller hero nodded as he sat on an empty portable camping chair.

"--Sealed extremely tight! Nobody gets in or out. There's nothing on this earth that can change that.." Ray grunted as he relaxed his body and directed his gaze across the room.

"Except for Schwoz, he's with Gooch in Palm Springs." The man chimed as Y/n's anger came back at the thought of those two laughing and drinking in a pool under the sun while they're stuck inside the mancave for 2 whole days.

"So, upstairs, Junk-n-stuff is on lockdown, too?" Henry questioned and the hero hummed in response.

"Uh-huh."

Y/n averted his gaze to Charlotte who seemed to be pondering something as she gasped and looked up at the three with a panicked look on her face.

"..Which means that Jasper and Piper are trapped up there together!" She exclaimed as they stared at her in shock and Henry quickly spoke up first.

"Oh my god."

"Panel is all set, boss." Y/n announced as he moved away from the control tablet and the man looked up with a satisfied nod.

"Good. Now, hopefully these batteries will produce enough power to get one tube working so we can get out of here." Ray explained as the teen made sure the wires were plugged in correctly.

"Who's going up the tube?" Henry asked them and the taller hero bend down to attach a wire to one of the batteries.

"It has to be Charlotte." Ray replied as the blonde blinked and tilted his head in confusion.

"Why?"

"Because we don't have much power here and she's the lightest." He stated as the girl turned and softly hit the smaller boy on the stomach.

"Yeah, chubby." Charlotte teased and returned to putting on her jacket as Henry lifted his flannel shirt with a slight pout.

Ray gets up and approached the tube controls as Y/n followed after him and the man quickly nudged his head.

"Okay, Charlotte, get up there." He ordered the girl as she shrugged and willingly went to go stand below one of the tubes.

"You don't have to tell me twice." She murmured while shaking her head and Y/n chuckled at her commentary.

"You better come back for us." Henry called as the girl nodded and threw him a thumbs up.

"Oh and bring a pizza."

"A big pizza!" The blonde chimed happily as Charlotte immediately rolled her eyes and sighed.

"Let's just get me out of here first." She motioned as she exhaled through her nostrils and waited for the next step.

"Stand by." Ray answered as he pressed a button to start up the battery generators and the mancave lights suddenly began to flicker around them.

Y/n pulls on another lever as a tube slowly made its way down toward Charlotte and the teen grinned at their success.

"Good. Now go for it." Ray ushered after the tube completely surrounded her as Charlotte glued her arms to her sides and looked up.

"Up the tube!" She yelled as she felt a portion of air lifting her off the ground and they all watched the girl move upward at a very slow pace.

"Increase the suckage!" Henry exclaimed over the loud generator and the teen followed his advice as he increased the pressure.

"Byeee!" Charlotte screamed as the air finally swept her away into the tube tunnels and a breathless laugh came from the taller hero.

Henry and Y/n joined the man as they cheered and Ray brought the boys into a proud embrace.

"It worked!" The blonde cried happily as he high-fived the two and they all walked away from the panel.

An electric spark occurs as the circuits to the battery overloads and blew up right in front of them.

The three jump back in surprise as a bunch smoke started coming out of the powered generator.

Charlotte's screamed at the top of her lungs as she fell out of the tube and landed on her feet before falling to the ground with a painful groan.

Y/n covered his mouth as the blonde blinked at her and dared to ask the number one question on his mind.

"..You didn't get the pizza--"

"No, I didn't get the big pizza!" Charlotte hissed as Henry stiffened and Y/n wiped the amused smirk off his face.

"So, what's our food situation?" Piper asked the curly haired boy behind the counter and he shuffled his feet awkwardly.

"We don't have any." Jasper admitted as the little girl grunted and facepalmed.

Charlotte shakes her head as she tapped on a button and turned away from the monitors to face Henry and Y/n.

"We all better get out of here before those two kill each other." She replied while pointing at the screen and the H/c haired teen winced at the idea of cleaning up 'fresh' blood off the tiled floor.

"They won't kill each other.. she'll kill him." Henry retorted and Charlotte shrugged as a long sigh left the taller man who was leaning against the tube panel playing with the broken switch.

"..I knew I never should've got excited about my dumb super anniversary.." Ray murmured as he pursed his lips in a pout and the two younger kids share a guilty look.

"Hey, I'm really sorry Jasper got us trapped down here." Charlotte told him as the shorter boy nodded and stepped forward.

"And ruined the fun weekend we had planned for you." Henry added as the taller hero forced himself to stop sulking and stood up.

"It's not your guys fault.. My super anniversary is cursed." Ray huffed and the teen raised his eyebrows at the statement.

The blonde thought for a moment as he gazed at the pile of stuff sitting on the ground and his eyes twinkled with hope.

"Hey.. maybe the weekend's not ruined." He mentioned and Y/n turned to him with confusion written on his features.

"What do you mean?" The H/c haired teen questioned as the blonde's smile grew wider and gestured his hands in the air.

"All the stuff we planned for your super anniversary can still happen right here in the mancave." Henry explained and the taller male scoffed in response to his backup plan.

"No, it can't."

"What are you saying?" Charlotte asked him and prayed the boy didn't lose his mind from the last couple of hours--of being trapped underground.

"Words! We got all this cool stuff we brought and there's other junk around here we can use." Henry cried confidently and the man rubbed his temple with a short frown.

"Kiddo--"

"We can still go camping, just indoors! There's even enough room down here to teach you and Y/n how to ride a bike." The blonde convinced as the girl smiled and crossed her arms.

"His enthusiasm's infectious." She pointed out as Henry stood in front of them holding three orange shirts in his hand.

"What do you say?"

"Come on, just give me one bar!" Piper pleaded on top of a yellow ladder as she held her phone even higher.

"You're not going to get a signal." Jasper repeated for 10th time and the girl looked down at the curly haired boy angrily.

"I have to try!!" She screeched and the boy shakes his head as Piper hopped down the ladder to stand next to him.

"Well, after I finish putting this drum set together. I'm going to get us out of here." Jasper replied confidently as he gestured his hands toward the drums that almost fell on her hours ago.

"How?"

"I'll play them really loud.. Maybe someone will hear it, call the cops to complain and then they'll come bust down that door and save us!" He exclaimed and the little girl squinted at the terrible plan as she scowled bitterly.

"Even your good ideas sound bad." Piper blurted out harshly as she spun on her heel and made a full circle around the store with her phone in her hand.

"Now, as soon as I start playing you start yelling, 'Help! Help us!!" Jasper said as he took out some drumsticks and she boredly placed a hand on her hip.

"Yeah, yeah.."

"And.. One, two, three, four!" He counted and started banging on the drums as loud as he could a couple times before the instrument fell apart on it's own.

The curly haired boy slowly turned his head to face Piper who was pretty quiet the whole time he was playing and she stared back pitifully.

"Help. Help us."

"Ready Y/n?" The blonde asked the H/c haired teen who was sitting on the [Fav.color] bike and rapidly shaking his head.

"Nope. No way! Can I get off this thing?" Y/n questioned nervously as he kept his feet close to the ground in case the whole thing decided to fall over.

"Well, I already unscrewed the training wheels off earlier.. there's no backing out now." He explained and showed them the loose wheels as solid evidence.

Y/n opened his mouth to protest but quickly shut it when the taller man's voice interrupted instead.

"Come on! Let's get this show on the road." Ray announced as he clapped beside Charlotte and Henry reached over to squeeze the teen's hand.

"Hey, come on! You saw Ray earlier.. if he can do it so can you." The shorter boy said and the teen nodded slowly as he took their words into consideration.

"Thanks, blondie." Y/n answered and the blonde patted his arm as he left to go stand next to the girl.

"You ready to ride 'The Flume' Ray?" Henry finally asked the taller man who laughed and nodded enthusiastically.

"Yeah!" He shouted happily with a large smile as he shortly realized something and blinked in confusion.

"What's a 'Flume..?"

"Just get in the log." Charlotte hushed and the hero furrowed his eyebrows as he pointed at the blue container with a piece of paper taped on the right side that said 'FLUME'

"That's a cooler!" He cried and the blonde rolled his eyes as he nudged them to move closer to the blue container.

"Pretend it's a log!"

"I'll get in the log!" Ray huffed as he sighed and put one foot inside the small cooler with Charlotte and Henry helping secure the hero.

"Get in there.." The girl murmured as the man squeezed into the tiny space and the blonde pushed his knee down.

"Like that? Alright.." Ray whispered as the two ran back to where the teen was standing by the elevator.

"Now what?" The man asked as he waited for more instructions and Henry cleared his throat while holding a mic close to his face.

"Please keep your arms and legs inside the log at all times! Mantenga las manos y los pies adentro del tronco en todo momento, por favor." The shorter boy announced and Ray cupped his hands over his mouth.

"¡Gracias!"

"Now, pull the pin!" Henry called as he set the mic down to watch and the teen quickly got into position behind the Polaroid.

Ray pulls the pin out of the slot as the cooler slid down the wooden slide. After he made it to the bottom, Charlotte splashed him with a cup of water as the camera went off.

"Yes! That was a lot of fum!" The hero cheered and Y/n handed the man a dry towel as they all celebrated.

"So, you having a good time?" Charlotte questioned and the blonde blew on his flaming marshmallow as he glanced at the man next to him

"Because, you know, this isn't exactly the weekend we planned." Henry reminded and the H/c haired teen heard the hero laugh.

"Are you kidding me? This is amazing! You guys taught me and Y/n how to ride and crash a bike at the same time! You showed me what riding a fume is like..We're camping!" Ray listed as he gestured toward the set up tents and lit campfire.

"Yeah and I bet we helped you forget that you never had a normal childhood." The blonde blindly said as he received a pinch on the elbow from Y/n and he yelped.

"Yeah. Until you said that." The hero answered as he continued to cook his marshmallow in the fire and the girl fidgeted with the end of her wooden stick.

The teen noticed her behavior and whistled a soft tune that caught her attention as he threw her a genuine smile.

"What's on your mind, Char." He chimed playfully as the girl hummed and straightened her back after slumping for so long.

"I'm kind of curious.. how come you don't tell us anything about your past." She asked him as the question caught the H/c haired teen by surprise and the blonde immediately panicked.

"Charlotte!"

"What? Oh- I mean- you don't have to! I don't want to like pry or anything--" She stuttered awkwardly as her eyes widened and the teen rubbed his neck.

"I don't mind telling you, I mean.. there's not much to say anyway." He admitted as he remembered a couple orphans he used to hang out with before they turned on him.

"Unlike you guys, I had no parent to take care of me when I was born. So the institute I grew up in was the closest thing I had to being called 'home." Y/n explained as Charlotte nodded in understanding and Henry listened closely.

"I lived there for quite a while until I was around--your age maybe..? younger perhaps. When they decided to kick me to the curb." He added and both their eyes widened in shock except for the man's.

"T-they kicked you out?! Why.." The blonde whispered in horror and frowned

"What type of person throws a little defenseless kid out into the streets?" She questioned as she glared down at her shoes in anger and Y/n shrugged knowingly.

"The kind who refuses to accept homosexuality as something 'normal.' At least that's what it seemed like to me.. the people there were sure religious as hell." He commented as he blew on his marshmallow and ate it carefully.

"--but whatever right? It doesn't seen all that bad now since I have a pretty cool boss and really great friends." Y/n teased as he looked at the man who got up and ruffled their hair.

"Glad to hear that, kid." The hero spoke as the lights began to flicker meaning that the battery was running out of power.

"Uh oh."

"The generators must be giving out- There might be a flashlight in that cabinet over there." Ray mentioned as he pointed at a gray looking box with the mancave logo on the front.

"I'll check." Henry volunteered as he set his stick to the side and stood up to go check.

As he busily finds a way to open the cabinet, Y/n hands Charlotte and Ray some plastic plates, crackers and pieces of chocolate so that they can build their s'mores

"Hey, what's this?" The blonde called as he held up an old clock with tons of wires attached to the back and the man blinked.

"Let me see that." Ray muttered and got up as Charlotte and Y/n followed after him. Henry handed him the weird device as the man examined it and took a closer look.

"There's something written on it." Charlotte stated as the man flipped it over and recognized the familiar cursive letters.

"This is Schwoz's handwriting.. 'Lock down timer. Do Not Touch." He read and the blonde raised his eyebrows as he glanced at the heroes.

"Timer? You guys said the lockdown was 48 hours." Henry explained and the girl squinted at them suspiciously.

"And that nothing could change that."

"Yeah, but if this clock is the timer for the lockdown.." Ray announced as they all gasped and Charlotte pointed at the clock.

"Try moving the hands forward!" She ushered and the man didn't hesitate to spin the larger hand in circles.

A buzz shortly followed afterward he did that as the machines underground began to work again and started beeping with life.

Y/n ran a hand through his H/c hair in disbelief as he ran to try the secret door near the snack machine and it swung open.

"It worked!" He exclaimed as Ray tried the large gear door that led to his room and he grinned when it worked also.

"The elevator opened!"

"So did my sprocket!" The man cried as a tube came down and Charlotte waved at them.

"Bye! Up the tube!" She yelled as she quickly left the mancave in a hurry and the teen took out his bubblegum.

Jasper sat on the floor with Piper sitting next to him as she gripped his hand and used her teeth to chew on his thumb.

The curly haired boy hissed as he screamed in agony when he felt her bite harder into his skin.

Suddenly, the door to Junk n Stuff opened as Captain Man, Kid Danger and H/n ran into the store.

"Stop eating that thumb!" Ray commanded as the little girl paused her biting and turned to the trio.

Jasper quickly retracted his hand as he stumbled to his feet and Piper followed his lead.

"It's Captain Man.."

"with H/n and Kid Danger." The little girl cried softly as the shorter boy turned to her and nodded.

"Yes, it is us." Henry stated in a heroic pose as Y/n examined the two hungry kids that stepped closer with drool rolling down their chins.

"Wh-Why are they coming toward us?" The blonde stammered as they slowly retreated and the man sweatdropped.

"I don't know.. but they look hungry--!" Ray exclaimed as their eyes widened in fright.

"RUN!" The teen shouted as the three bolted out the door followed by a shriek from Henry with Jasper and Piper hot on their trail.
