A dark wooden door swings open as a kid with very short H/c hair and s/c skin tone stomps out of an orphanage building with an upset frown on his face.

The woman who had followed him out crossing her arms and shaking her head as she scoffed at his mannerism.

A young orphan girl with dirty blonde hair stands behind her near the doorway, looking at the boy in sorrow and pity.

"He chose not to repent, Veronika."

"I suggest you do the opposite of what he did. He was a threat to our community.. to us and the Lord for thinking such nonsense."

"He cannot be forgiven for his sins." The woman added coldly as she turned to head back inside without giving the boy another glance.

Ignoring the lady and her words, Veronika continues watch her friend walk farther and farther away. As the one person she considered close to her like family, like a brother.. Leave her behind.

..She couldn't believe it.

The worst-case scenario that she prayed every night to not happen had slapped her in face that cannot seem to process.

The eight year old had tried to convince the boy to let her go with him, but instead, he only tried to change the topic.

Veronika begged, pleaded, and even weeped as she pleaded as he tried his hardest to read her a bedtime story while holding in some tears of his own.

She knew deep down that this would be last time they'd ever see each other again. And whether she'd like to admit it or not..

Y/n was gone.

The elevator dings as the door slid open and Charlotte walks into the mancave while waving her phone in the air.

"Hey. I got your text and.. Whoa!" She said and then gasped loudly when she saw Schwoz wrapping a bandage around Y/n's torso.

The H/c haired boy sat on a rectangular table with an ECG monitor on the side beeping every one in a while trying to read his pulse as wires were attached to Y/n's arms and chest.

She frowned as she approached them and pointed a finger at the teen worriedly.

".. What the butt happened to you?" She asked him as Schwoz continues to work on patching him up and Y/n looks up at her.

"Oh! Well, if you're wondering.. I got cast in the new upcoming scream movie so they had to--" He began as his voice drips with sarcasm and Charlotte rolled her eyes at him as she covers his mouth.

"Without the sarcasm." She scolded as he stops talking and the girl pulled her hand away.

Charlotte steps back as he shakes his head and puffed his cheeks in irritation.

"What does it look like, Char? I got stabbed. okay? stabbed!" He retorted as Schwoz accidentally tightened the bandage around his waist line and a long painful hiss escaped Y/n.

"Whoops. my bad." Schwoz replied sheepishly and the girl smiled at him in appreciation as she gives him a pat on the shoulder.

"Keep it up, Schwoz." She told him as she shot the H/c haired teen a warning look and Y/n rolled his eyes.

"Hey.. Where's Ray?" Charlotte suddenly questioned as she looks around but didn't spot the taller male anywhere and Y/n sighed.

"He went to the site to see if he could track Henry and that stupid bi--!" His words being quickly interrupted by the two raising their voices to stop him from continuing.

"Heyy! Language!" The girl shouts as Schwoz throws his hands up and frowned at the boy in disapproval.

"Dude!" The repair man called with his heavy accent as Y/n held his tongue and then sneered.

"Fine! That girlfriend of his." He added spitefully as he changed his vocabulary and he grips the edge of the table with his hands.

"I just can't believe she caught me off guard. I hope Henry's doing okay." He mumbled as the alarm rang and their heads turn as the man came down the tube.

"How'd it go?" The girl asked him after the tube went up and Y/n quickly forces himself off the table as he almost topples over.

Ray holding his arms out in panic as Charlotte and Schwoz act fast as they catch him from falling.

"whoa!"

"Slow down." Schwoz told him and Charlotte nodded at the boy to listen to the short man but Y/n was too worried about the blonde to care about his own state.

"..So did you find them?" The H/c haired teen said as the two let the boy stand on his own feet ans the taller male patted down his messy hero outfit.

"Not yet." Ray answered as he dusted the remaining dirt off his shoulders and chest as Charlotte squints.

"Why are you all dirty?"

"Because I just went tumbling down a giant mountain." The taller hero told her and she blinked as she nodded slowly in understanding before the man strolled away.

He heads toward the monitors as he sits on the spinning chair and tapped on the buttons.

"We've got to locate Henry.."

"Schwoz, come help us locate him." He called as the repiar man turned and Ray motioned him to come.

The hero continued to press on the buttons as the three of them walked up to him and he gritted his teeth.

"I put the secret tracking device on their belt, but It's not finding the location." He explained as Y/n swallowed thickly when he saw the big letter words on the screen with a warning sign.

𝗡𝗢 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗟

He stomach twisting into a knot as he grew anxious and Schwoz slaps a hand on Ray's shoulder.

"Move- You don't know anything." He ridiculed as the taller male spun on the chair to stand up and Schwoz pushes him.

Ray slaps his hands as Schwoz immediately returns the hit and the two men start having a slap fight in front of Charlotte and Y/n.

The girl flinches as she moves to the side a bit as she watched them awkwardly and then the two stop.

The teen remaining silent beside her in thought as Schwoz sat down to face the monitors and he taps on the buttons as well.

Y/n frowned as he watched the letters change and he waited for the final results to load to show the blonde's whereabouts.

Henry stared at the path ahead as he walked along side the Wall Dog girl with a wretched look written all over his face.

He looked dowm at his hands that were somewhat covered in dry blood as his mind drifts back to Y/n bleeding out.

He bit his lip as he tries to block out the horrible image in his head but kept failing every time.

He sighed and then glances at the girl that was still holding on to hand tne entire walk as he frowned.

He glances at her face as she looked clearly unbothered by what she did and that just steered up the anger bubbling in his chest.

He stops walking as he tugs at her hand and pulled her back forcefully.

"Why did you do that?" He asked her as Veronika turned her head to look at him and eyes widened a bit before she glared at him.

"Do what?"

"Stab him." He accused as the criminal clicked her tongue and ripped her hand back to her side.

"What was I supposed to do? Let him take me to jail?" She spat as his frown deepened and she shakes her head with a light scoff leaving her lips.

"I had no other choice--" The girl began but the short blonde cuts her off as he talked over her instead.

"Yes you did! Veronika." He interrupted as his eyes stared at the Wall Dog in disbelief for trying to justify herself.

"You did.." His words coming off as a soft murmur and two stared at each other in silence before Veronika's lips slowly formed a knowing smirk.

"Huh.." She mumbled as she reads him like an open book and he furrowed his brows in confusion.

"What?" He questioned as she circled him once before shrugging and she moves back to stand in front of him.

"Nothing.. You just reminded me of someone that I used to know." Veronika mentioned as she turned to continue walking down the path and curled a finger at him to follow her.

"Let's go, I want to introduce you to some people." She called as the blonde hesitated but then he went after the girl and went to go stand beside her.

They continue on their way as he begins to hear the sound of chattering and laughing when they grew closer.

He quickly realizes that this was the way back to Big Putts when he saw the large bushes as the loud voices became clearer and they both turn the corner.

He sees the rest of the Wall Dogs spray and graffiti the entire golf course as they shook their cans.

"Sorry, windmill." He heard one Wall Dog say as the blonde stays close to Veronika and she walks over to two boys and another girl.

Some of the Wall Dogs start to turn as they finally notice of the sidekick behind her and began to murmur.

"Hey.. Hey." Another female Wall Dog called after taking notice of the sidekick behind Veronika as she nudges the group of boys beside her.

"Check this out." She ushered and they turn their heads to take a look as Veronika smirked at them widely.

"Surprise." Veronika said as she raised her arms up and then they fall back to her sides as the sidekick rose a hand to wave awkwardly.

"Hello..everyone."

"wait what?" Some Wall Dog comments as the rest of the members began chattering and murmuring to themselves.

The blonde slightly tugs at his lip as he began to feel uncomfortable and then leaned slowly towards Veronika.

"So, uh.."

"Oh! That's T-paint.." Veronika began to introduce as she points at a male with dark skin that was standing in the middle with a green mask that only surrounded his eyes.

The mention of their nickname made the guy snap his head at the girl in shock as his mouth gaped.

"That's Two Canz, Beyonspray--" She listed as she named off some of the Wall Dogs separately and T-paint shook his head.

"Veronika!"

"What!?" Veronika snaps as she looks at him and the male motioned his hands at the blonde.

"He's Captain Man's budge!" He exclaimed as the members erupted in complaints while pointing at the boy.

"Hey! I'm a lot more than just Captain Man's budge." Henry announced as the gang quiets down and Veronika nodded at him to keep going.

"For example.. I'm good at tennis! I make excellent tacos." He started listing as he pulled two of his fingers down and the wall dogs raised their brows.

"Tacos?" A boy with a gas mask on his face questioned as he turned to his friends and T-paint scoffed.

"What if he tells Captain Man or H/n where we are?" He asked her as he shoots the blonde a cautious glare and she shakes her head.

"He won't. I just watched him fight Captain Man and push him down a mountain." The girl defended and the male squinted his eyes at her and then frowned.

"Then what about H/n?"

"I took him down myself." She stated proudly earning a couple murmurs from the gang as Henry's lips firm at her comment.

"Look! The point is that i'd be in jail right now if it wasn't for him." She explained as the male thought about it for a moment and then steps forward.

"So, what are you saying now? You're not Captain Man's budge anymore?" T-paint asked the short boy as Henry turns to the Veronika and then back at the other Wall Dog with a head shake.

"Nope.. I think it's awesome how you guys go around painting stuff like that all over the city." Henry complimented as he looks up and gestures his hand toward the painted windmill.

"Wait--you're seriously going to let Wonder Boy roll with us?" Two Canz blurted beside him as she slaps T-paint's arm lightly and Henry pouted at the nickname she gave him.

T-paint throws Two Canz a glance and then at sidekick who crossed his arms next to Veronika as he sighed.

"I don't know."

"He's my friend! You don't tell me what to do." Veronika shouted at him and the male raised his eyebrow at her challengingly.

"No. But Van Del does." He said as he looked over his shoulder to glance at the Wall Dog with a fire design on his beanie.

"Call him."

"On it!" The other boy spoke as he quickly pulled out his phone and walked to the side while dialing.

He places the phone next to his ear as a phone started to ring and T-paint reaches into his pocket.

The rest of the Wall Dogs shaking their heads including Veronika as the male picked up the call in annoyance.

"Hello?" T-paint said as his voice echoes through the other phone and the boy with the beanie froze as he raised an eyebrow.

"..Who is this?"

"Me, man!" The male exclaimed startling the poor boy as he drops his phone and put a hand to his chest.

𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐋

Van Del sat on an old couch with an eye closed as he holds a paintball gun in one hand and points it at an old newspaper with Captain Man and H/n.

He shoots twice as the paint balls splatter on both their faces and the sight brought satisfaction to him.

A Wall Dog suddenly approaches near his resting spot as they stood behind the leader nervously and spoke with hesitance.

"u-uhm.. Van Del?"

"Can't you see.. that I'm busy painting." Van Del murmured loudly for the Wall Dog to hear as he shoots another picture of the two heroes and the kid swallows.

"But Spray Z wants to talk to you." They mentioned as the leader furrowed as he rolled his head back to look at them.

The teen with the orange mask flinches as he faced the other direction out of fear when Van Del turned accidentally points the paintball gun at him.

Van Del clicked his tongue at this as he sneered and held his hand out patiently.

"Give me the phone." He ordered as the Wall Dog handed it over and the leader grabs it out as he nudges his head.

"Now go stir the paint before I throw you into it." He threatened and the boy stiffened as he nodded and ran over to the giant pool of red paint.

He grabs a large stick as he began to steer the paint and Van Del raised the phone to his ear.

"Talk." He demands as he returned to shooting paint at several pictures attached on the Dart Board.

"Kid Danger's here." A voice on the other end said making him pause as he ponders for a minute before speaking again.

"Put him in the phone." He replied dryly in distaste as he hears some fumbling on the other line.

The Wall Dog throws Henry the phone as the blonde catches it and lifted it up to his ear to talk to the man.

"Van Del?"

"Kid Danger.. I hear your boss and that annoying brat H/n want me in prison." He explained unbothered as he shoots at a different picture and Henry shrugs.

"Well."

"Maybe Captain Man isn't my boss anymore. And I refuse to be pushed around by H/n any longer." The sidekick told him as Van Del hears his response and hummed slowly.

"Interesting." He replied as he stops shooting balls of paint and he sat up straight on the couch.

"Put Spray Z on the phone." The leader said as he mentions the previous Wall Dog he talked to and the sidekick nodded.

"Okay." Henry answered as he walked towards one of the Wall Dogs with confidence and held out the device.

"Spray Z he wants you." He said as the Wall Dog looks at the device and snatches it in her grasp offendedly.

"I'm Two Canz!"

"Well, sorry! Miss Canz.." He mumbled as he backed away slowly and went to go stand beside Veronika.

Two Canz holds a frown as she nods and Spray Z goes to snatch the device out of her hands.

"Give me the phone." He spat as she throws him a glare and holds it up to his ear to speak with the leader.

"It's me."

"Did you search Kid Danger?" Van Del questioned as he pointed at the wall and the boy paused.

"Search him.. for what?" He asked the man on the other line as he tilted his head and Van Del huffed out a laugh.

"Oh, I don't know! Meatballs and Bikini Tops." He replied as sarcasm drips in his tone and the Wall Dog nods swiftly.

"On it! Check him for meatballs and bikini tops." He ordered the gang after he put the phone down and Henry squinted at him as he threw his hands up.

Two other Wall Dogs approach the blonde from both sides and the leader's voice rang through the air.

"Spray Z.." Van Del called out as the boy with the beanie watches them grab and restrain the sidekick by the arms.

"Spray Z!!" Van Del shouted through the phone as the Wall Dog hears him at last and places it back to his ear.

"What's up?"

"Search him for weapons.. recording devices, things like that!" The leader scolded and Spray Z stiffened as he finally understood his orders and he smacks his forehead.

"Ahh, right. right."

𝙃𝙀𝙉𝙍𝙔 𝘿𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀𝙍

They hand the Metal Detector wand to Veronika as it buzzed loudly in her hand and she strolls up the blonde.

The Wall Dog girl stands in front of him as she holds it up over his chest to scan him.

A Wall Dog with a gas mask over their face having him stand in place while Veronika does this.

Their hands were placed on top of his shoulders to keep him from moving or running.

Veronika slowly lowers the wand down to Henry's waist line where his belt was located and the metal detector beeps.

The green light turning a red color as the girl raised her eyebrows and shoots the sidekick a suspicious glance.

Henry stiffened as he averted his gaze and Veronika frowned at him as she lowers the wand a couple times.

The Metal detector squealing and flashing red each time she repeats the small action as Two Canz sneered.

"What you got in there?" She asked him as Henry ponders on what to say next before he looks at her smugly.

"Nothing but rock hard abs." He replied shamelessly as he shrugged at her question and Two Canz rolled her eyes.

"Check his belt buckle." She ushered as the Wall Dog behind him sticks two fingers into the belt and takes out a small glowing ball.

He holds it up to show the gang as the ball shines in red and blue colors.

Veronika turned to the blonde in disbelief as Henry gaped in surprise when they had found the tracker quicker than he thought.

"I-I swear I didn't know that was in there!" He lied as Two Canz takes the ball to examine it closely and she lets out a gasp.

"It's a tracking device!" She announced as the Wall Dogs turned to look at each other and Henry swallowed thickly.

"Captain Man must've put it there! That Jerk." He spat as he attempts to convince the graffiti gang he was on their side and T-paint sneered.

"All right." The male said as he walked toward the shorter boy and took the tracker from Two Canz.

"If you really didn't know about this tracking device.. then bust it up." He simply told him as the blonde looks down at the tracker and then at the hammer that was being passed to him to his right.

"Okay." Henry spoke as he nodded his head in agreement and took the hammer while stepping closer.

"But I don't need this." He added as he throws the tool to the side accidentally hitting Spray Z in the gut as the other boy groaned.

"Geez." Spray Z mumbled while gritting his teeth and Henry takes the tracker off T-paint's hands as he backed up a bit.

"Check this out." He called as he reached for the laser hidden in his back pocket and throws the tracker up into the air.

'Sorry guys..! I have to find another way to contact you.' Henry thought as he bit his bottom lip and raised his laser to point at the glowing ball.

𝙎𝙀𝘼𝙍𝘾𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙎𝙄𝙂𝙉𝘼𝙇 . . .

The H/c haired boy had been staring at the monitor for a while now waiting for it to load as he slightly rocks back and forth in his shoes.

He waited anxiously for Henry's location to show as he read the words displaying on the screen over and over again.

He grimaces when he feels a quick sting on his torso but he doesn't let it bother him as he tries to ignore it.

Y/n exhaled deeply as Charlotte turns her head and takes notice of the pain written on his features.

"Uh.. I think you should sit down." She suggested worriedly but the teen only shakes his head at her as he was about to reply.

The message on the screen finally changing to his relief but the words were not the ones Y/n was expecting them to be as he stiffened.

𝗡𝗢 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗟

The same exact letters from earlier returning back to taunt him as Schwoz stops pressing on the buttons and leaned back on the chair in shock.

"What happened?"

"I lost Henry's signal." The repair man explained as Charlotte shook her head and Ray walked to the teen to place a hand on his shoulder.

"Good. Now.. Give us your little laser toy." Spray Z told him as he approached the sidekick with his hand out and Henry's mouth opened hesitantly.

"But this kind of belongs to Captain Man and H/n.. and I don't think I shou--" The blonde explained and Veronika scoffed as her face twisted into a frown.

"Who's side are you on. The Wall Dogs? or Captain Man and H/n's?" She spat with distaste as Henry glances at each of the Wall Dogs and looks over his shoulder at the ones behind him.

He hesitated before he turned back to Spray Z and handed over the laser willingly with a short nod.

"Yours." Henry said as the boy with the fire design on his beanie grinned at him and took the small weapon.

"Cool." Spray Z commented as he walked off to the side to go figure out how it works and Veronika nudges her head.

"Okay, you guys finish working on the windmill." She told the rest of them as they scattered and she bends down to grab a black spray can.

"I'm going to work on Kid Danger." She added with a twinkle in her eye as she got up and shook the spray in her hand.

"What are you going to do?" Henry asked her nervously as the girl eyed him and offered him a playful smile.

"You'll see." She answered as she ushered him to follow her and the two begin to walk away together.

"Hey, how's this thing work?" Spray Z called and the pair turned to look at him as the Wall Dog examined the laser close to his face.

"Be careful with that or else you might--" The sidekick began as the other boy flips the remote around accidentally aims it at his eye.

Spray Z presses on a button unknowingly as it shoots out a laser beam and it hits him directly in the eye.

He cries in anguish as he drops the advanced weapon on the ground and covers half of his face with his hand.

"My eye!!"

"..Hurt yourself." Henry finished as the girl rolled her eyes and shook her head at Spray Z's stupidity.

"Okay! You people might be.. the worst posse ever." Piper announced as she stood on top of the couch pacing back and forth on the soft cushions.

"I mean, do you want the $10,000 reward or not?" She asked the four sitting in the living room and they nodded.

"Yeah.." The four answered simultaneously and Piper squinted at them as she places a hand on her hip.

"Then why didn't any of you find the Wall Dogs?" The short blonde girl questioned and Jasper opened his mouth to speak first.

"Well, I was looking for them downtown."

"But when I was crossing fourth street--I fell down and a motorcycle ran over my tummy." He explained as he motioned at his shirt and everyone looks down at the tire print that was left as evidence.

"--and why didn't you find the Wall Dogs?" Piper asked the boy that sat on the arm of the couch and Oliver looks up.

"Well, I saw a bee hive so I hit it with a stick. Then, almost immediately.. I was stung by bees." He admitted truthfully and Piper sighed as she turned to the third boy sitting on the purple chair near the fireplace.

"Sydney, what's your excuse?"

"My.. My Snake Bite.." He uttered as he lifted his hand up from under the blanket to show them the bite again.

"It's getting worse." Sydney cried as he tried wiggling his fingers that were starting to feel numb and Jasper grimaced.

Oliver leaned back as his cousin Krisha leans forward to take a closer look at it and Piper turned to her.

"And what about you?"

"I bought this goldfish." Krisha simply said as she turned to look at the other girl and Piper raised her eyebrows.

"..Why?"

"I like the way he smells." She answered as she dips her head down to sniff the inside of the bowl and she smiled widely with her eyes closed.

"Ugh.. She is so weird!" Oliver replied as he groaned at her while throwing his head back earning a small glare from Krisha.

"Jasper.. You want the money or not?" Piper asked the curly haired boy and Jasper looks at her with a nod.

"You know I do."

"Then all of you go back out there and find the Wall Dogs so we can get our ten grand. Or die trying." She scolded as the boy with the blanket drapped over his legs looks up knowingly

"... I'm close."

"Okay.. I'm almost done." Veronika said as she steps back to see her work and Henry glances down to take a peek at his suit covered with black spray paint.

"Whoa..! Sweet." The blonde cheered as he smiled at her and the Wall Dog grins at him as she circled him while shaking the can again.

She leans close to fill in the gaps and lighter areas she might have missed as she held a look of concentration.

The blonde quietly watches her for a moment as he couldn't help but feel curious about what she said to him earlier before they arrived back to Big Putts.

"Earlier.. you said that I remind you of someone." He lightly brought up as she let out a small hum in return letting him know she was listening.

"..Can I ask who?" He hesitantly asked her as the question made the girl abruptly pause her spray painting.

Veronika brows creased as she thought about not telling the boy anything regarding her past but he had already proved himself enough earlier by destroying the tracker and she let out a sigh.

"I guess, you remind me of.. someone that I kind of looked up to."

"A boy that I used to hang out with during my time at the orphanage." She explained as she twirls the half empty can and the blonde raised his eyebrows.

"Orphanage.." He mumbled softly under his breath as his eyes widened a bit in sudden realization and she chuckles lightly at his surprise.

"Yeah.." She trailed off as she attempts a smile and she looks down at the past memory of the boy she grew very fond of.

"What uh.. happened to him?" He asked her as she looks at him and her mouth parted to respond before shrugging.

"..Come on. Let's go show them your suit." She replied as she turned to walk away first and he frowned as he trailed after her.

"Okay, everybody!" Veronika announced as the two pop out from behind the large bush toward the five Wall Dogs who were still painting the Windmill.

"Check out the new Kid Danger." She mentioned as she grins and places the spray cans on top of a barrel.

The Wall Dogs had turned to face them as they chuckled and cheered at the sidekick's new appearance.

"Oh yeah!"

"That is dope." T-paint complimented as he clapped his hands proudly and Veronika turns to pat the boy on his chest.

"How does it feel?" She asked him curiously as the blonde tilted his head at the gang and smirked.

"Feels Baad." He said as he turned to the girl and the Wall Dog's smile grows wider at his response.

"Van Del's going to love it!" She added and the five members nodded at her words in agreement.

"Wow! This is so weird.. I feel like a real Wall Dog now!" The blonde commented as he looks down at his suit in amazement and T-paint shakes his head.

"Not yet, man. We're going to take you to the Grill and we'll let Van Del decide if you can be a Wall Dog." He explained and the sidekick squinted at the male curiously.

"..What Grill?"

"That's a secret." T-paint began as the boy with the fire design on his beanie stood a couple feet behind him.

"It's the Old Maple Grill." Spray Z called while still covering his one injured eye and the darker male spun around on his heel.

"Shut up, man! What is wrong with you?!" T-paint shouted as he scolded the Wall Dog and Spray Z gritted his teeth.

"I got shot in the eye with a laser!" Spray Z cried and T-paint huffed as he pointed at his own pair of eyes.

"Who points a laser at their eye?!" He argued as the two boys began to bicker and Henry turns to Veronika.

"But.. the Old Maple Grill's been abandoned for years." The blonde spoke in a low voice as she simply smiles and winked.

"Just wait.." She whispered to him as the sidekick blinked and then nods slowly taking in the piece of information.

"Quit it! Let me go."

The clear sound of Jasper's voice going heard as Two Canz and the Wall Dog with a gas Mask on his face drag the curly haired boy inside the golf course.

"You guys are going to be in big trouble!" Jasper shouted as he grunts and struggles against the firm grips on his arms.

"Oh, no.." Henry murmured worriedly and Veronika hears him as she shoots him a confused glance.

"Yo, who's the Herbert?" T-paint spat as he strolled toward to the two and Two Canz nudges her head.

"We caught him across the street spying on us." She informed the male as the curly haired boy nodded bravely.

"That's right! And I found you. And as soon as I get out of here, I'm calling the cops." He explained as he reached into his pocket and showed them his phone.

The boy soon regrets this as T-paint quickly snatches the device out of his hands.

"Wait what are you--" Jasper managed to say before the Wall Dog throws his phone somewhere far and he stared at the graffiti criminal in disbelief.

"Well, now, how am I supposed to call the cops?!" He whined and the rest of the Wall Dogs snickered as T-paint stepped closer.

"I think this Herbert needs to be a little more.. colorful." The male said as he smirked at the boy and Two Canz grinned next to him.

"Let's spray him!" She suggested as T-paint nodded and the rest of the members began to agree as well with her idea.

"Yeah!"

"Whoa, whoa! Hold up.. Why don't we let our new friend spray the Herbert?" Veronika called as she gestured to the blonde and the gang stops chattering to look at them.

"Okay." T-paint replied as the rest of the Wall Dogs shrug and murmured softly in agreement.

"What a good idea."

"I like it." One of them said as the blonde hesitantly turned to Veronika and she shrugs at him with a grin.

He swallowed as he averted his gaze to look at Jasper for a split second and then made his final decision.

"Give me some cans."

Piper, Oliver and Krisha stare at the curly haired boy silently as he stood in front of the fireplace covered in head to toe... with spray paint.

"..What happened to you?" Piper asked him as she squinted at his figure and gestured her hands at his body.

Jasper slowly lifted his arms up as he glances down at his painted hands and he turns to look at the little girl.

"..Kid Danger!"

"He painted me." He cried as his arms trembled and Oliver groans while throwing his head back.

"Ohhh please." Oliver commented as he snorted at his 'excuse' and Piper shook her head also not believing the boy.

"There's no way Kid Danger would ever do anything bad like this." She told him as she furrowed her brows at him and he looked at the three in disbelief.

"That's what I thought! But he's different now.. He painted me everywhere." He explained as he motions toward his clothing and Oliver blinked in confusion.

"Even--"

"Everywhere!!" Jasper exclaimed before he could finish as he pointed a finger at him and the other boy flinched at his outburst.

Sydney gasped out a painful moan as he laid on the floor near some potted plants by the door.

They barely shoot him a glance as the front door suddenly opens and Charlotte hurriedly walked inside with Y/n right behind her.

"Hey." She greeted after spotting the four in the living room as the two walked over to them and she swings the door open wider.

The door hitting and smacking Sydney harshly in the face (mainly om the nose) as he let out a yelp and a groan.

Charlotte and Y/n paused in their tracks and turned around slowly as they spot the boy laying on the floor nearly half unconscious.

The H/c haired teen raised his eyebrows after noticing how pale Sydney was as he turned to the four and pointed over his shoulder.

"Ignore him." Piper blurted before he could question it and Y/n stares at the little girl in shock as he gave a stiff nod in return.

"Okay then.." He mumbled as Charlotte sighed and made no more effort to acknowledging the pale boy laying in the corner.

"Anyway.. have any of you seen Henry?" Charlotte started as she asked the group about the blonde and they shake their heads while murmuring 'No's.

Their responses practically being a slap to the teen's face as Y/n cussed under his breath.

'Damn it!' He thought as the sharp pain on his torso returns as he almost hunches over and winced.

Jasper noticing the pained grimace written on his features as he nudges his head at him worriedly.

"You okay?" He asked the H/c haired teen and Y/n sucked in a breath as he forces a strained smile.

"rgh--y-yes. yeah..! just tripped on the way here--" Y/n said as he looks at the boy and then paused after finally taking in Jasper's appearance.

His mouth hung open in shock as Charlotte squinted Y/n's reaction and turned her head curiously to look at Jasper and then gasped.

"Whoa! Jasper." She blurted as she looked at him up and down before snickering in amusement.

"Did a clown throw up on you?" She joked playfully as the curly haired boy pursed his lips.

"I wish.."

"Kid Danger did this." He said to them as Y/n perked up at the mention the blonde and Charlotte's eyes widen a bit as she moves closer.

"You saw Kid Danger?"

"Yeah.. with the Wall Dogs over at the Big Putts." He stated and Y/n quickly moves to stand next to the girl.

"Do you think they might still be there?" The H/c haired teen asked him almost desperately and Jasper shakes his head.

"No.."

"Can I use your shower to get this paint off me?" The curly haired boy asked as he turned to Piper and she gives him a blank stare.

"There's a hose on the porch." She stated and Y/n squinted as he tilted his head at her response in concern.

Jasper frowned as Charlotte sighs and gestures the boy to go outside with her.

"Come with me." She called as Jasper slumped and followed her to the door and Y/n goes to join them.

She opens the door again and lets it swing back on sydney's face for a second time as he lets out a louder groan.

The three walking out into the porch as Y/n shuts the front door closed behind him and Jasper groans.

"I've never felt so.. colorful." The boy whined as the paint on his skin had already dried up making him feel sticky.

"All right.. Jasper. Get your shirt off." She ushered as she turned away and Jasper obliged as began to shrug off his flannel.

"Can't believe I just said that." Charlotte commented as she murmured in disgust and her face twisted in pure horror.

Y/n hears this as he carefully leaned against the wall in amusement and watched the girl go through the five stages of grief on her own.

Suddenly the front door opens as Piper poked her head out and nudged her head at Jasper.

"Hey, Jasper, we all just took a vote. You're out of the posse." She announced as she broke the news to him and he spun around while throwing his arms up.

"What!?"

The little girl sighed as she leans away from the door frame to step out into the porch.

"If we find the Wall Dogs and get the $10,000 dollar reward.. You get nothing." She explained as she walked away to head back inside and the door slammed shut.

Charlotte grabs the hose off the ground as she walked toward Jasper and the curly haired boy pouted.

"Great. Now I'll never get that money.." He murmured as he started to roll up his shirt and turns to face the other direction.

Y/n boredly took out his phone to check through his twitflash as Charlotte rolled her eyes and pointed the hose at him.

The girl sighed and then blinked as she takes notice of the large three letter words written on his back.

"O..M..G.." She read slowly managing to capture Jasper and Y/n's attention as the teenager looked up from the screen.

He quickly moved forward to get a glimpse of what she was looking at as Jasper panics and glances over his shoulder.

"What? What's on my back??" He questioned as he tried taking a look and places his hand on his arm to keep him in place.

"O..M..G!" Charlotte repeated loudly as she gawked in realization and drops the hose in the process.

"What? Is it acne?" Jasper called out and the girl reacjes inside her pocket as she fumbles to take out her phone.

"And you're sure Kid Danger did this to you?" She asked him and the curly haired boy nodded as a relieved smile appeared on Y/n's face.

"Yeah." Jasper replied as the girl turns her phone vertically and snapped a quick picture of the letters.

"Bye!" She called as she quickly sped off and Jasper watched her leave in confusion as he looked at Y/n.

The H/c haired teen offered him an apologetic grin as he slowly backed away and Jasper squinted.

"Y/n.. don't--"

"Later J.D." The teenager spoke as he made a run for it leaving the curly haired boy on the porch with a hose.

"--Thanks for nothing!" Jasper shouted after them as they both ran down the neighborhood and Y/n goes to catch up with Charlotte.

"S-so...what was he like?" Henry hesitantly asked the Wall Dog hoping to find out who this friend was that lived in her memory.

Veronika raised her brows as she looked away from her can for a moment to glance up at him.

"Who?" She questioned as she brought her spoon to her lips and then looked away as he spoke.

"Your friend.. from the orphanage." He mentioned as the Wall Dog froze almost dropping her spoon in the process and stops eating the can of soup in her hand.

The two were currently huddled in a corner inside the Old Maple Grill as the rest of the Wall Dogs gathered in the middle while chattering.

"He was.." She began as she looks down and made a slight pause to clear her throat before cracking a weak smile.

"Y/n was everything." Veronika admitted truthfully as she spun the spoon in her hand and the blonde froze when he hears the teen's name escape her mouth.

"At least to me anyway.." She added quietly and Henry snaps out of it as he shifted in his spot to face her while listening.

"None of the other kids liked hanging out with him as much as I did." The girl explained as she remembers the vivid memory of kids not letting him join their any of the games they played.

"The kids there were mean.. nasty."

"They never gave him a chance to prove himself that he wasn't contagious like the adults said he was." She said as each word cut Henry deep as he imagines a little boy being neglected and pushed to the side for being gay.

"He used to tell me that he didn't care about what they thought about him." She continued as she hugged one of her knees close to her chest and the blonde chewed on his bottom lip.

"Those were times I could tell he was lying." Veronika commented as the Wall Dog took a deep breath and then exhaled through her nose lightly.

"The abuse of power.. the name calling from other kids.. the fights they tried to pick with him. I was a witness to everything." She admitted as she chuckles bitterly and his expression saddened.

"And one day.."

"...The adults had enough." She mumbled with a light shrug as she stares ahead to look at the rest of the gang and Henry follows her gaze.

The two watching the other Wall Dogs chatting and having a good time until the room fell into a quiet hush as heads started to turn.

Henry squinted as he averts his attention to the stairs and spotted a man with black clothing stroding into the room as he approached T-paint.

He sees the Wall Dog nodding and then pointing a finger in their direction as the blonde stood up cautiously.

The blonde slowly made his way to the man that he recognized as the leader of the Wall Dogs and he nudged his head.

"Van Del?" Henry called as the man with the top hat nodded at his quick observation and Van Del examines him silently.

"..Is it true?"

"That you've turned against Captain Man and H/n, and you want to join the Wall Dogs revolution?" The criminal suddenly questioned and Henry hesitantly turned to look at Veronika behind him.

She offers him a supportive smile as Henry grins back at her and then he looked back at Van Del with a short nod.

"Yeah. I do." He replied as the man chuckled deeply and then smirked at his answer in satisfaction.

"Good.. Now roll up your sleeve." He told the sidekick and Henry's expression faltered as his eyes narrowed in confusion.

"Uh.. Why?" He asked the man suspiciously as the man's smirk switched to a frown and he kept his hard gaze on the short blonde.

"Show him the Wall Dog mark on your arms." He ordered as the members surrounding them began to roll up their sleeves.

Henry looked around as everyone including Veronika exposed the branded burn mark on their wrists and he swallowed.

"O-oh.." He murmured nervously as Van Del stepped back and stood next to a burning barrel.

He reaches his hand out to grab the branding iron rod that was heating inside the fire and presented it to the sidekick.

Henry stiffened as a sudden chill went down his spine at the sight of it and Van Del chuckles menacingly.

"First, we test the melon." The leader announced as a Wall Dog came over with a melon that wore a clown afro and party glasses and they handed it over.

One of the other Wall Dogs holding it in place for the man as the criminal pushes the iron rod against the watermelon's skin.

Henry turned to Veronika with a panicked look as the girl rose her brow and smiled at him.

Van Del keeps it there for a couple more seconds before pulling the branding iron away with a proud smirk.

The Wall Dog holding the melon twisted it to show him the marking the leader burned into the side of the fruit and a shaky breath escapes Henry as he backed up a couple steps.

"S-so then to join the Wall Dogs.. I have to do that to a melon?" He asked the leader meekily and Van Del chuckles evilly before his face formed another frown.

"Hold him down." He spat as two other Wall Dogs came forward to grab the blonde and forcefully tug him closer to the man.

Henry yelped and resisted against the tight grips on both his arms as he tried to lean away from Van Del and the iron rod he was holding.

"Couldn't I just swear on a bible o-or something!?" Henry stammered as he suggested that idea sheepishly and Van Del sneered.

One of the Wall Dogs pulling one of his sleeves up by force as genuine fear was visible on Henry's face.

Henry bit his lip as his eyes squeezed shut and he quickly turned his head away waiting for the burn to come in contact with his skin..

Van Del and the rest of the gang suddenly stop what they're doing to hear a loud commotion outside and the blonde opened his eyes.

"Hey! You're not supposed to be here--" He heard a Wall Dog that was guarding outside yell and then the following sound of groaning and grunting before it quickly fell quiet.

Henry turned his head to look at the door as the Wall Dogs share some confused looks and then Spray Z spoke.

"I'll go see what's up." He told them as he volunteers to go check it out and the gang immediately shake their heads.

Some of them hissing and whispering telling him to return as the boy with the eye patch reaches for the door and exited the room.

The door clicking and closing behind him as a brief silence filled the air.

They all waited for a moment as most of the members shrug before hearing a loud shout from the Wall Dog.

"No way! It's--!" Spray Z's words being cut off when he's suddenly sent flying and crashing through the door, surprising the gang and Van Del.

Henry winced as Spray Z landed on the ground harshly with pieces of the door scattering everywhere.

The blonde looks up as he spotted the tall hero walking through the doorway with a serious expression on his face.

"Shoot! It's Captain Man!" One of them yelled as they pointed at the man's sudden appearance and the gang broke into a panic.

Ray rolled his shoulders back lightly as his gaze landed on the leader.

"Spray time's over, Van Del." He announced as he made his voice sound gruff and Van Del gritted his teeth at his comment.

He sneered as he places a hand on the sidekicks shoulder and pointed at the hero up front.

"Prove your loyalty to the Wall Dogs." He ordered and Henry turned his head to glance at the criminal as he looks back at Ray.

Spray Z groaned on the floor as the blonde stepped over his body and he strolled to the taller male while nudging his head.

"...I've only got one thing to say to you." Henry mentioned as he frowned at the man and the hero tilted his chin to the side.

"Then say it." Ray replied as the two stared at each other in silence before the blonde slowly rose his hand to point at him and his frown disappears.

"I am so glad you're here!" He blurted as the man smiled widely at him and the boy quickly runs over and jumps right into his arms.

Ray cackled while catching him and Henry clung to his boss tightly as the gang watched the duo with a mixed look of anger and confusion.

The taller male patted the boy on the back as the gang hears another pair of footsteps fastly approaching and turned to the broken entrance.

The H/c haired teen had finally arrived to the scene as he runs inside and then bends down a bit by the door frame to catch his breath.

The blonde pulled away from the man's embrace to raise his head curiously as he turned and his eyes widened slowly in surprise.

He spotted Y/n at the doorway clutching his torso, steadying his breaths, as his breath hitched when the two made eye contact.

The H/c haired teen stared back at him for a moment as Henry watched their shoulders slack a little with relief and Y/n instantly began to move forward.

Henry doesn't waste a second either as he started to walk over to him as well.

He swore he could hear the sound of his heart pounding in his chest with each step he took toward the hero.

The two eventually meet each other halfway as Y/n stood in front of Henry and they both waited silently for the other to speak.

Many thoughts were swarming through the blonde's head as he fought back the sudden urge to just sprint and embrace Y/n.

Yet he couldn't help but feel a tad guilty about the things he said to him back at Big Putts and for almost letting his jealousy ruin their friendship.

"H/n.." He mumbles as he looked at Y/n with a small smile and the H/c haired hero gave him a slight nod in response.

"Kid Danger." Y/n said as he held a serious expression behind his mask and stared back at the sidekick.

"I thought you.. I mean you were.." Henry stammered as he swallowed nervously recalling the images of Y/n bleeding.

"I-I'm really sorry I didn't let you explain--" He managed to say before the H/c haired teen steps closer and brought him into a warm embrace.

Henry takes a second to process the action as he doesn't hesitate to wrap his arms around him and tears prick at the corner of his eyes while he hugs him back tightly.

The rest of the Wall Dogs were left baffled as Veronika stared at the two enviously, wishing she could give her childhood friend one last hug but never will.

Her jaw clenches as she silently walked toward them in frustration and glared at the short boy angrily.

"What are you doing?!" She hissed at him as Henry pulled back from Y/n and spun around to look at the girl.

"Fighting crime, baby." He commented with a slight smug as the man grinned and laughed at his response as he walks up and gave Henry's shoulder a squeeze.

"I love this kid!" He cackled as Y/n smiled and reaches up to ruffle the blonde's hair and Henry blushes at the gesture on his head with a grin of his own.

"You lied to me." Veronika accused as she pointed at the sidekick while taking a step closer and he nods.

"Yep." The blonde replied as he popped the 'p' at the end and the wall dog sneered.

"You used me!"

"That is also true." Henry said as he agreed with her words shamelessly and she clicked her tongue in disbelief.

"I trusted you and I even told you about my friend! So--so how could you?" Her tone immediately switching to disappointment as she frowned at him and he sighed.

"I'm sorry...but I had to make you think that I turned against Captain Man and H/n.. so that you can bring me here to Van Del." Henry explained to Veronika as Y/n's gaze flickered behind her to look Van Del.

Van Del was seething with rage as he let out a growl and he turned to T-paint while grabbing him by the collar.

The rest of the Wall Dogs backing up when he does this as he gritted his teeth at T-paint.

"You idiot!"

"You let Captain Man and H/n right to us!" He shouted as he scolded the boy with the green mask and T-paint's eyes widened.

"It wasn't my fault! When we found the tracking device on the kid, we blew it up!" He said franctically qs he gestured his hands toward the sidekick and Henry nodded.

"Yeah."

The Graffiti Gang and Van Del turned their heads to look after hearing the blonde speak.

"And that's when I knew I had to get a message to both of them as soon as possible so I spray painted O-M-G on that kid you guys caught at Big Putts." He told them as Two Canz tilted her head and furrowed her brows.

"The chubby guy?" She questioned and Henry nodded while humming lightly as T-paint shook his head.

"Wait but I still don't understand all this.." The Wall Dog began as the man blinked at him and Y/n raised a brow.

"What? You mean that all three of us set up a whole plan to find your secret hide out to capture Van Del?" Ray asked them as the gang murmured and shrugged as the two heroes look at each other before sighing loudly.

"All right.."

"Might as well." Y/n mumbled as the teen shrugs his shoulders and Ray moved to go sit on the arm of the couch.

"We'll explain it in more detail." Henry said as the taller male grunted and the three began to explain the plan to the group of graffiti artists.

"And when I saw the O-M-G that Kid Danger sprayed on that boy's back.. I had to go back and tell Captain Man." Y/n mentioned as he gestures toward the man who was pacing around while the Wall Dogs sat around listening intently.

"Because that was a clue." He added as Ray nodded and the gang blinked simultaneously while shaking their heads in confusion, still not getting it.

Y/n stifled a laugh as Henry rolled his eyes and nudged the teen's shoulder and the blonde turned to the Wall Dogs.

"Old Maple Grille? O-M-G." Henry spelled out as he watched them process this information and earned some Oh's and Ah's in return after they figured it out.

Van Del standing up the stairs as he let go of the railing and threw his arms up dramatically in frustration.

More murmuring occured as the leader almost facepalms and his hands clenched into fists.

"--Wait! When did you guys even come up with this whole plan?" Two Canz asked the three and they exchanged looks before turning to her.

"Well you see.. first I tried to bluff that I didn't know anything at first." The blonde said as the man stepped forward and gestures his hands at Veronika.

"Like when this young lady asked him to meet her under the Swellview sign." Ray explained as the wall dog stared at the three and Henry continues.

"But then I felt bad so I told them." The shorter boy admitted with a sheepish smile and Y/n nudges him playfully.

"Who's a good sidekick?"

"Mee." Henry replied with a light blush coating his cheeks and he giggled as Van Del scowled.

"So that's when we decided to really--" The man called as the leader's face glowed a bright red from anger and then suddenly snaps.

"STOP THIS!!" Van Del yelled as he pointed at all of them and everyone in the room went quiet.

They all turn to look at the criminal as he stomped down the stairs with a shake of his head.

"This.. explanation has been going on.. for FOURTY FIVE minutes!" He hissed as the H/c haired teen found amusement in his outburst and he smirked.

"ENOUGH!" Van Del screamed as Spray Z turned and looked at the leader curiously with his one working eye.

"Well, what do you want us to do?" He asked him as he held his sore hip after the hero threw him through the door.

"ATTACK! THEM!!" Van Del exclaimed as he gestures his hands aggresively toward the sidekick and the two heroes.

The Wall Dogs snapping their attention to the three as Y/n, Ray and Henry exchange looks before getting up.

The Gang stood to their feet as they began to attack them and Y/n pushes a Wall Dog back with a kick to their stomach while punching another coming from his right.

The teen pushes through the pain on his torso as Henry tackled the Wall Dog with the eyepatch who was holding his laser in their hand.

Captain Man blocks the punches and kicks that were aimed towards him as he pushes Veronika to the side effortlessly as T-paint called out.

"Hey, Captain Man!" The Wall Dog shouted as he held up a bat in his hands in attempt to take a swing.

Henry struggling to get the laser of Spray Z's hands who was laying on his back on the ground as the blonde twisted their grip and shot a laser at the bat.

The laser breaks it as T-paint lowers it to look at the broken bat and Ray let out a loud mocking laugh.

"Ha!"

The taller male launches a kick at T-paint sending him stumbling backwards as Spray Z got up and grabs Henry from behind.

Y/n hits a Wall Dog with one of the empty gallons of paint as his eyes darted around the room and spotted Henry's situation.

He punches a separate Wall Dog that was coming toward him and runs over to go and help.

Y/n stops when he watches the blonde getting lifted up as the boy kicks a wall dog that was approaching them and he throws his elbow back to hit Spray Z.

The action had caused the wall dog to let him go as Spray Z fell to the floor and Y/n was left impressed by how he handled himself.

Henry turning his head as he made eye contact with Y/n. His brown eyes meeting e/c ones and the teen chuckles as he gave the boy a proud smile before turning back to the fight.

Captain Man jumps over the couches as he opened a nearby fridge and hits the nearest Wall Dog with one of the doors.

Van Del hissed as he ushers the rest of them that were standing aroumd next to him to go join the fight.

"Get up!" The criminal scolded as he pushed them forward and Henry kicks someone into an empty pile of paint gallons.

Y/n lifting and throwing another over his shoulder as they slammed down on the coffee table making it smash in half.

Captain Man pushing and dodging several attacks after some of them tried ganging up on him to catch him off guard.

Veronika hiding in plain sight as she watches her group of friends fail completely at stopping them.

Henry gets pushed into the pile of gallons as he braced for impact and he groaned with a wince.

Veronika watching silently as she took this opportunity to bolt to the second exit upstairs while everyone was too busy as she made a run for it.

Y/n noticing the Wall Dog girl trying make an escape as he gets rid of the Wall Dog he was fighting and knocks them out cold.

Henry gets up as he takes care of the members that were somewhat left standing or still trying to fight him.

Captain Man pushes a cart filled with heavy paint supplies as he runs over a Wall Dog succesfully, knocking them down.

The H/c haired teen runs and hops over the furniture as he climbed the railing and blocked Veronika's path.

"Where do you think you're heading?" Y/n asked her as he moves toward her threateningly and she takes a step back.

Henry looks up as he notices Y/n with Veronika and he quickly dashes over.

The blonde climbs up and slips between the railings as he moved to stand in front of him to protect her.

"Y/--H/n wait--!"

"Kid.. Move." Y/n interrupted as he kept his gaze directly on the girl behind the boy and Henry shakes his head.

"H/n! please, you're not listening she's--!" Henry rambles as Y/n walked forward and Henry places a hand on his chest to stop him.

The teenager looked away from her as he turned to the blonde and glared at him.

"I'm not asking you again.. Move it or lose it." Y/n said as he scowled at the shorter boy and Henry frowned.

Henry pondered quietly as he glanced over his shoulder to look at Veronika for a moment before he makes his decision and then turned to Y/n.

"No." He replied bluntly as the H/c haired teen huffed out a bitter laugh and he attempts to try and circle around him.

Unfortunately, Henry moved quicker as he blocked both left and right as the teen slowly became frustrated with the boy.

"I can't believe this.. you're defending the person who stabbed me and almost killed me!" He hissed as Henry rapidly shook his head and his lips parted in panic.

"I-It's not like that! It's because she's--" He managed to say before pausing and wondered if it was his place to reveal that they knew each other as he swallowed.

"S-she's my friend.." He stated while stammering as he stood his ground and Veronika looks at him as a small smile appeared on her face.

Y/n's glare faltered slowly at his words as he frowned at this as he searches his eyes for any sign of foul play.

The H/c haired teen knew he couldn't make the blonde budge as he sighed loudly and frowned.

He looks at the two for a moment and then turned to walk away to go assist the taller male instead.

Relief had washed over Veronika when she saw the hero striding away as the sidekick turned and ushers her to go.

The Wall Dog turns to leave but not before spinning around to plant a kiss on his cheek to thank him as she runs off.

The blonde held a smile once she was out of sight as he shook his head and then went to go take care of Van Del and the remaining Wall Dogs.

Police cars had arrived to the scene as cops escorted the last of the Wall Dogs out of the building along with Van Del who was completely coated in red paint from head to toe.

"We are now LIVE at the Old Maple Grill." Evelyn Hall began as she held the microphone up to her lips while staring into the camera.

"Where Captain Man, H/n and Kid Danger just captured the Graffiti Bandits known as the Wall Dogs." The reporter explained as she gestures toward the three earning a groan from Piper, Jasper and everyone else in the living room besides Charlotte.

"Dang it!" Piper exclaimed as she sat on the couch next to the curly haired boy watching the news on the TV and the posse gang whined in disappointment.

"Shh! I want to hear this." Charlotte said as she shushed them to be quiet and they turned their attention back to the screen.

"So what do you guys plan to do with the reward money?" Evelyn asked the three standing beside her as she held the microphone at Ray and he leans forward.

"Well, the truth is, we never would have found the Wall Dogs. If a young boy who was near the Big Putt late last night hadn't tipped us off." He spoke with a nod as Jasper's ears perked up at the man's response and slowly lifted his head to listen.

"And who was this young man?" She questioned as she tilted her head curiously and moves the mic when the blonde steps forward to speak into it.

"His name is Jasper Dunlop." Henry mentioned as the teenager nodded and Jasper jumps slightly in his spot.

"What!?" Piper shrieked beside him as she stared at the TV in disbelief and Jasper smiled widely with excitement.

"They're talking about me!" The curly haired boy cheered as he leaned forward proudly while almost sitting near the edge of the couch and Piper gawked

"How did you tip them off?!" The little girl asked him dumbfoundedly as she turned her head and Jasper grinned from ear to ear.

"I don't know and I don't care! They're talking about me!!" He shouted as he fanboys and Piper shook her head as they continue to watch the news.

"I think we're gonna take the $10,000.. and give it to Jasper." Ray told the reporter as he eyed the camera with a smile as Jasper jumped up from the couch proudly.

"Yesss!!!" Jasper cried as he moved away from his previous spot and went off to the side to show his victory dance.

"I did it! I won! I won!!" He boasted as he sang loudly and he runs over to Sydney who was still laying in a corner by the front door and potted plants.

"Sydney, did you hear that?! Sydney!" He called as he uses his hand to shake the boy awake and Sydney harshly gasped for air.

"I..I want to live.." Sydney replied in a raspy voice as he lifted his arm up to reach for the sky and then it slumps back on the carpet.

Jasper paused as he worriedly turned to the group sitting on the couch who had turned around and watched the scene unfold in concern.

Henry climbs on top of the large branch outside his bedroom window as he slides it open and he hops into his room.

The blonde spins around to face the teen who had climbed up as he gave an awkward smile and points over his shoulder.

"You want to uh.. come in?" He offered as Y/n balanced himself on the branch and moved forward a bit.

"Nah.. I gotta get back to get my bandages switched out." The teen mentioned and Henry nodded slowly as his mind wandered back to the events from earlier and he sighed.

"Look, I uhm.."

"I'm really sorry about what happened at Big Putts." Henry explained as he shifted his gaze downward and he leaned against the window sill.

"I didn't mean to upset you.. in the way I did." He murmured as his shoulder slumped and Y/n could tell he was beating himself up over it as he held a thin smile.

"I was a total jerk and you clearly didn't deserve that." The shorter boy told him as he didn't expect the H/c haired teen to forgive him oh so easily but he at least let it known he was truly sorry..

There was a pregnant pause as the silence almost became unbearable for a moment when he didn't receive an answer.

Henry nods to himself as he moves back inside and reached up to pull the window down before..

"I didn't give him my number you know.." Y/n suddenly brought up as the blonde stops his movements to look at him and he raised his eyebrows.

"Huh..?"

"Blake. I didn't give him my number." The H/c haired teen spoke in a low murmur as he plops to sit down on the branch and Henry swore he felt his stomach flutter with hope.

"T-then what was uh.." He stammers as he asked him curiously and Y/n slips his hands into his pocket to grab his phone.

His screen lit up qhen he turns it on and he swipes to show him the recent texts Bianca was sending Y/n.

The messages showed Bianca screenshotting her conversations with the new kid and her thanking him for giving her number to blake.

"Oh.."

"Oh!" He blurted in realization as the teen put his phone away and glances up at the boy's reaction in amusement.

"Yeah." Y/n commented with a chuckle as Henry's cheeks flushed in embarrassment and the blonde groaned.

"Awh no! No! really? I feel like such an idiot now." He cried as he facepalmed and the H/c haired teen shrugged.

"Oh yeah.. a big one." Y/n retorted as he smirked at the shorter boy and Henry huffed as he removes his hand from his face with a light chuckle.

The teenager smiled as he nudged his head, "..You should get some sleep." He told him and the blonde blinked before nodding quickly in agreement.

"Oh right." He said as he leaned back into his room and Y/n turned to climb down the tree before the blonde called out to him.

"Hey.. Y/n?" He called nervously and the H/c haired teen spun around curiously while keeping his balance.

"What's up?" He answered as Henry thought really hard on what he was about to do and he cleared his throat with a shake of his head.

"C-can you uh.. move a little closer and also maybe close your eyes?" The blonde asked him sheepishly as Y/n furrowed his brows in confusion and then nodded slowly.

"uhm okay..?" Y/n trailed off unsurely as he carefully moves along the branch to get closer to the window and shifted to face him while closing his eyes.

"So now what--" Y/n called as he felt something warm and soft pressing against his cheek and then heard the sound of quick shuffling along with the window shutting closed.

The teenager had fluttered his eyes open before he could process what had happened as he stared at the closed window and the curtains that were blocking the view from inside.

Once he was on the ground after climbing down the tree, he glances up at the window one more time and---then forces himself to turn away as he walked off to head back to Junk n Stuff.

He didn't take notice of the confused glances from Ray and Schwoz when he walked past them down in the mancave.

The first thing they took notice was the evident smile on his face and then the slight blush that coated the boy's cheeks before the two men looked at each other and shrugged.

I went wayy over my word limit to write this, guys.

Anyway, I thought I should give Veronika a somewhat important role for Y/n's backstory.

I was going to add a short bonus at the end but I've already kept you waiting. 🤏
