Chapter 188
Presiden's wild wife
âDo you mean Emma committed suicide for some reason?â Mason heard what they said. He couldnât help asking.
Elena gave him a glance, âItâs just a guess. Mr. Bush, do you see any stranger visiting Emma recently?â
Mason felt a bit awkward that she didnât call him âFatherâ but âMr. Bushâ. He didnât get used to it.
âElena, I...â
Elena didnât say a word, looking at him with a smile.
Mason clenched his fists. Then he said, âNo. I visited her every day and I didnât notice anything or anyone strange.â
Logan squinted at him, asking in a cold tone, âYou didnât notice? Or you just didnât want to tell us?â
âWhat are you talking about?â Mason frowned, asking in an unpleasant tone, âDo you think that I will hurt my own daughter?â
Elena told Logan, âHe wonât tell lies.â
She knew Mason loved Emma so much.
Jeremy felt puzzled, âWhatâs going on? Do you mean that thereâs a reason for her suicide? Does someone want to kill her?â
âOnly Emma knows the answer.â Elena said. At that moment, the operation was done and Emma was sent out. The doctor was walking towards them, who looked relieved now.
Mason ran to him, âDoctor, how is my daughter?â
âRelax. She didnât cut herself too deep. Sheâs fine now.â
Mason was breathing a sigh of relief. Emma was lying in bed. Her pretty face was pale now. She looked so weak and pathetic.
Elena couldnât help checking on her, âHow is she?â
âHer wound has been dressed now. But she is in a coma. We recommend that she should stay here for observation. Besides, there might be something or someone resulting in her suicide in the mental hospital. She will be taken better care of here.â
âStay here?â
The doctor nodded, âYes. Any question? Canât she stay here?â
Mason was worried, âI am afraid that if she goes crazy again...â
âDonât worry. We will look after her. Itâs the same as in the mental hospital.â
âWell...â
Mason subconsciously turned to Logan and waited for his advice. But it seemed that Logan didnât care. Mason realized that it had nothing to do with Logan now. So he answered, âOK. Thank you, doctor.â
Jeremy asked the doctor, âWhen can she wake up?â
âIt takes time. She needs more rest. Youâd better visit her tomorrow.â The doctor suggested.
Then Emma was sent to a ward. Elena held Loganâs hand tightly, âWhy did she want to kill herself? Do you have any clue?â
Logan held her hand back, comforting in a calm tone, âWe will know after she wakes up. We will find out the truth.â
His confident tone made her feel relieved.
Once Emma woke up, the first thing she could see was the white ceiling, and then, her father Mason. He was so happy and excited, âEmma. Iâm so glad you are fine.â
Emma moved her head slightly. She was looking at him blankly without saying anything. Seemingly, Mason got used to it. He didnât mind but cried, âHow can you hurt yourself? If you are unhappy, you can talk to me! You shouldnât do this to yourself!â
Emma didnât answer. And she didnât show any emotion, either. Finally, he gave up asking.
âLook at her! She doesnât say a word! I donât think we can get the answer from her! What should I do?â Mason was so sad, crying.
He only had Emma now and he loved her so much. Seeing her suffering, he felt so miserable. He wanted to find out why she tried to kill herself.
However, he could do nothing.
Elena looked indifferent, âItâs your business. If you donât want to see this happen again, you should take better care of her.â
âI know.â Mason nodded.
Logan looked at Elena. After a while, he asked, âWill you stay here? Or do you want to talk to her?â
Elena bit her lips, looking away, âNo, I donât. Since sheâs fine, we should go.â
Logan nodded. He held her hand, trying to give her more support.
They were about to leave. Mason raised his head and looked at them. He wanted to keep them here for a longer time, but he knew that he had no right to do this. So he turned to Emma and asked her if she wanted to eat something.
While Jeremy ran to them, trying to stop them, âElena.â
âWhatâs the matter? Mr. Smith.â Logan looked at him, saying in an unpleasant tone.
Jeremy was afraid of him, but he continued anyway, âElena, why are you here? Actually, you can leave Emma alone. You can pretend you donât know about it. But you didnât. Do you still care about Emma?â
Emma framed Elena for many times. She should hate Emma, shouldnât she?
Elena was surprised at his question. She smiled at him, âI just want to know if she is dead. I am curious.â
She told the truth. She really hated her. She wouldnât be nice to her anymore. She really wanted to know if Emma was dead or not.
âLetâs go home.â said Logan, holding her hand.
Elena nodded.
Jeremy still wanted to say something. But at last, he chose to be silent.
Getting into the car, Jacob said, âIâll send you home first. Then I will arrange people to check all the surveillance videos. Iâll try my best to find out anything or anyone suspicious.â
âOK. Just do as you think.â
Jacob nodded, holding the steering wheel tightly.
Elena was leaning on Loganâs chest, âDo you think that Kent has anything to do with her suicide? Do we need to investigate him?â
âNo, I donât think so. He is busy solving his own problem. Those managers wonât just let him go easily. He doesnât have time to do this.â Logan frowned.
Recalling the day Kent was surrounded by the managers, Elena totally agreed, âYou are right. But, if it isnât him, who will do this?â
Presiden's wild wife ï¤Chapter 187 Emma Killed Herself A Trillionaireâs Revenge ï¤CHAPTER 41 Logan kept silent because he didnât know the answer. He thought that Emma would do something after she woke up and saw Elena. However, she did nothing.
That was too abnormal. Why? Did she fake it? Or did she have other plans?
