Chapter 67
Presiden's wild wife
Jacqueline was quite pleased that she had got Elenaâs promise and told Yolanda about it as soon as she got home. But Yolanda was nearly driven mad when she saw her motherâs joyful look, âMom, youâre too stupid. You were fooled by her!â
âNo way. Donât be silly. Yolanda. Didnât she marry Logan for money? Now I give her money and ask her to divorce Logan. Of course she will accept it!â
Yolanda stamped her foot, âIf you really know her, you should be clear that she wonât leave him just for 10 million!â
âWhat do you mean, Yolanda?â Seeing Yolandaâs worried face, Jacqueline became panicked at once.
âJust imagine. If you were Elena, would you take the money and divorce him, or stay with him, the cash cow?â
Jacqueline turned pale in shock and finally got it, âThen...then what can we do now? Iâve been saving the money for so long!â
Yolanda stared at her angrily, âI canât help you now. You have to accept it! After all, you went to see her without telling me first. Youâre such a fool!â
âBut what about my money!?â
âNo way to get it back. Or are you going to tell dad and grandpa that you gave Elena money to leave Logan? Of course she will deny it. And if she doesnât, why you do want them separate in the first place?â
Jacqueline knew what Yolanda said was correct. But she felt irritated, so she called Elena instantly, âYouâve never thought of divorcing him, right?â
Elena was surprised but answered quickly, âYes, I have.â
At first, she thought there was no future between Logan and herself. But later Logan made her realize that he wouldnât let her go, and she found herself couldnât live without him, either.
Jacqueline was delighted about Elenaâs answer. But the next moment, Elena continued, âBut not any more. You are really generous, auntie. Ten million, nearly surprised me.â
Jacqueline heard sarcasm in her words very clearly. âI wonât just let you go easily!â
Elena sneered in her heart. She wouldnât let her go easily? Considering what they did to Logan, they wouldnât spare her no matter she accepted the money or not.
âIâm telling you, Elena. Youâd better behave yourself. I know Logan married you, but Iâm his mother and you must listen to me!â
Just when Jacqueline was threatening Elena, Yolanda saw a familiar figure and pulled Jacquelineâs clothes immediately. âGrandpaâs coming!â
Jacqueline went nervous and instantly changed her malicious tone into a warm welcome. âWell Elena, since youâre free these days, come back with Logan and have dinner with us. Grandpaâs fretted since his parrot hasnât been speaking these days!â
Elena noticed this abrupt change and guessed what happened from Jacquelineâs words. She couldnât help laughing out, âWell, auntie. Youâre really a good actress who switches freely from a good mother-in-law and a bad one.â
âYou!â
At first Grandpa George didnât know who Jacqueline was speaking to. However, when he heard it was Elena, he rushed out in no time and snatched the phone excitedly. âElena!â
Elena was bewildered by that greeting and after a while she realized it was grandpa who took the phone. So she smiled, âGrandpa.â
âI heard from Jacqueline that you would come back with Logan and have dinner with us?â
That wasnât the truth, but she didnât want to disappoint him. She had to answer, âI will come back with Logan tomorrow.â
âGreat! I heard you were on vacation? Iâll tell the servant to clean your room so that you can stay for a few more days!â
âGrandpa, donât...â
Before Elena finished, Grandpa George had been busy telling the servants to get prepared.
When she hung off, Elena sighed. She was supposed to stay away from the Browns, yet she agreed to go back. She was not sure whether Logan would be angry if he knew that.
....
The next day, Logan and Elena went back to the Brownâs house together. On their way, Elena kept peeking at him cautiously. When they nearly arrived, she couldnât help saying, âI can talk to grandpa if you donât want to go.â
Logan turned to her and saw concerns on her face. âElena, take it easy. I said youâd better stay away from them. But since itâs grandpaâs invitation, we shall accept it. Besides, not all Browns are the same.â
âSo youâre not unhappy with that?â she was reading his face.
Logan pinched her face and asked, âWhy are you worried? You have no confidence in me to protect you?â
Presiden's wild wife ï¤Chapter 66 I want you to divorce A Trillionaireâs Revenge âOf course not!â she shook her head and denied at once. She never thought it that way. He seemed to be invincible in her eyes even though he was confined to the wheelchair. But that didnât change her feeling.
âIf so, donât worry about it, OK?â He wanted her to be happy forever.
...
Grandpa George was waiting for them before the villa with his parrot very early. When he saw the familiar car, he got excited immediately and rushed to stop the car.
Jacob was shocked and stopped at once.
They were all scared by his unexpected and dangerous coming. Elena got off and looked him up and down. âAre you OK? Itâs so dangerous for you, grandpa!â
Grandpa George was not annoyed by her blame and waved his hand merrily. âDonât worry. Not a big deal. Come in now.â
Logan got off the car, too. He had a long face, âGrandpa!â
Grandpa George felt uneasy and slowly turned around. âYou... you are here, Logan?â
The next second, he regretted what he just said. Of course Logan was here, too. They said they both would come back. What was he thinking?
âGrandpa, that was so dangerous!âsaid Logan in a low voice.
Grandpa George was holding the parrot and looking hurt. âWell, well. I know Iâm wrong, I wonât do it again!â
But Logan was still looking at him. Grandpa George held up the parrot and protected himself from Loganâs stare. While the parrot suddenly spoke and yelled, âI know Iâm wrong! I know Iâm wrong!â
Elena was surprised and couldnât help bursting out laughing!
