25. Royal Dragon Group

HIS LITTLE PRINCE (# BOOK 2)

VIKRAM SINGH RAJVANSH'S POV

I glared at Ruhan, trying to keep my cool.

"I told you to wait for some more days," I said, my voice low and even, but with a hint of frustration.

Ruhan just shrugged, a relaxed smile on his face. "I couldn't wait," he said, his voice casual. I felt a surge of annoyance.

Why did Ruhan always have to be so impulsive? Didn't he think about the consequences of his actions?

Siddharth, who had been standing by the window, turned and walked over to the sofa, flopping down onto it with a sulky expression. "You know about this shit from the very starting," he muttered, his eyes fixed on Ruhan.I shot him a look, but he just shrugged.

I knew he was thinking the same thing I was - why did Ruhan always have to cause so much drama?

As I looked at Ruhan, I couldn't help but think about how close the three of us were.

We had grown up together, and despite our differences, we had always been there for each other.

But as I thought about our family dynamics, my mind wandered to Rajveer. My eldest brother, who had always been a bit of a loner.

His asshole behavior had kept everyone at arm's length, including me. And yet, despite all of that, I am not going to leave him alone. Although I am not a big fan of him, but I can't hate him too, Afterall blood runs thicker than water.

I pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the present.

We had a problem to deal with, and I needed to figure out how to fix it.

Siddharth spoke up, his voice sulky. "What are we going to do now?"Ruhan grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Marry my Lavender officially, what else?"I rolled my eyes, feeling a mix of frustration and amusement. Fuck him and his bad humor But as I looked at him, I knew that I would do whatever it took to support him. He was my brother, and I loved him, no matter how much he drove me crazy..I was still trying to process the news about Ruhan's impromptu marriage when my phone rang again. I sighed and answered it, expecting it to be another family member with more drama. But instead, it was Prithvi, my assistant. "Vikram, we have a problem," he said, his voice serious.I sat up straight, my instincts on high alert. "What is it?""We've detected a leak," Prithvi said. "Someone is leaking out sensitive information about our family's business dealings."I cursed under my breath. This was the last thing we needed. "Do we know who the culprit is?" I asked.

"Not yet," Prithvi replied. "Your father is working on it, trying to identify the source of the leak. But in the meantime, I thought you should know."

I nodded, my mind racing. "Leave the culprit for now. Give me the info on who this information is going to."

"The information is being sold to the Royal Dragon Group," he said, his voice serious. My eyes narrowed. The Royal Dragon Group was a powerful conglomerate with interests in various sectors. But who was behind it?

"Who's the owner of the Royal Dragon Group?" I asked Prithvi. There was a pause on the other end of the line, and for a moment, I thought the connection had dropped. But then Prithvi's voice came back on, hesitant."Vikram, I...I don't know if I should be telling you this."My instincts went on high alert. What was Prithvi hiding?"Tell me," I growled, my patience wearing thin.Prithvi took a deep breath before answering. "The owner of the Royal Dragon Group is...Rana Pratap Rajput."

My eyes widened in shock. Rana Pratap Rajput was the King of Mayapur, and more importantly, he was Vyom's father. But there was a catch. Vyom had been kicked out of his family a long time ago, and from what he had told me, he had no contact with his father.

So why was Rana Pratap Rajput doing this? Was it just a coincidence, or was there something more to it?And then it hit me. Maybe Rana Pratap Rajput knew about my involvement with Vyom. Maybe he was trying to hurt me through Vyom.Maybe he wants his only heir to the empire back.

My mind was racing with possibilities, but one thing was for sure. I was going to get to the bottom of this. I was going to find out why Rana Pratap Rajput was doing this, and I was going to make sure that he paid for it.

I picked up my phone and dialed Prithi's number. "I need you to dig deeper," I told him. "I need to know everything about Rana Pratap Rajput's plans, and I need to know if he's connected to Vyom in any way."Prithvi nodded, even though I couldn't see him. "I'll get right on it, Vikram. But be careful. If Rana Pratap Rajput is involved, this could get very complicated."I nodded, my mind already racing with strategies and plans. This was a challenge, but I was ready for it. Bring it on, Rana Pratap Rajput.

Just as I was about to respond to Prithvi, I felt a gentle touch on my cheek. I turned to see Vyom standing beside me, a warm smile on his face."Hey, come and eat dinner," he said, his voice soft and inviting.I felt a surge of affection for him, and my heart skipped a beat as he leaned in to kiss my cheek. I closed my eyes, savoring the touch of his lips on my skin. For a moment, I forgot about the leak, about Rana Pratap Rajput, and about all the complications that came with it. All I could think about was Vyom, and how much he meant to me.

But as I opened my eyes, reality came flooding back. I knew I had to keep this to myself, at least for now. I didn't want to trouble Vyom with all this drama, not when he was already dealing with his demon. So, I forced a smile onto my face, and stood up, wrapping my arm around Vyom's waist. "Let's go eat," I said, trying to sound casual.Vyom looked up at me, his eyes sparkling with happiness. "I'm starving," he said, leaning into me.I chuckled, feeling a sense of normalcy wash over me. For a few hours, at least, I could forget about all the drama and just be with Vyom.As we walked to the dining room, I made a mental note to keep this secret to myself, at least for now. I didn't want to ruin this moment, this feeling of peace and happiness, with the complications of my family's drama. But as we sat down to eat, I couldn't shake off the feeling that this was just the beginning of a storm, one that would eventually engulf us all.
