26. Kidnap
HIS LITTLE PRINCE (# BOOK 2)
Vyom Rajput's Pov
I lay in bed, my eyes fixed on the ceiling as I tried to calm my racing heart.
It had been a week since Vikram's absence, and I was starting to feel like I was losing my grip on reality.
Every night, I had been plagued by nightmares. Dark, twisted visions that seemed to seep into my waking life, making it hard for me to distinguish reality from fantasy.
I knew it was because of Vikram's absence. He had been gone for five days, and I hadn't heard from him since. No calls, no texts, no nothing. It was like he had vanished into thin air.I tried to convince myself that he was just busy with work and family affairs. That he would be back soon, and everything would go back to normal. But the more I thought about it, the more my mind began to spiral out of control. I felt like I was reliving the trauma of my past, when my family had rejected me and left me feeling abandoned and alone.
It was a feeling I thought I had long overcome, but Vikram's absence had triggered it all over again. I felt like I was back in that dark place, where I had been left to fend for myself.I tried to shake off the feeling, telling myself that Vikram loved me, that he would never leave me. But the more I thought about it, the more I felt like I was just kidding myself. What if he didn't come back? What if he had changed his mind about us, about me? What if he had realized that he didn't love me after all?
The thoughts swirled in my head, making me feel dizzy and disoriented. I knew I had to calm down, to rationalize my thoughts and remind myself that Vikram loved me.But it was hard to shake off the feeling of abandonment, of being left behind. It was a feeling that had been ingrained in me since childhood, and it was something that I struggled with to this day.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart. I knew I had to be strong, to trust in Vikram and our love for each other.I closed my eyes, trying to focus on my breathing. I knew that Vikram would come back to me, that he would make everything right again.
I just had to hold on to that thought, to keep telling myself that everything would be okay. And eventually, it would be. Vikram would come back, and we would be happy again.I just had to keep believing.
I woke up to a beautiful morning, the sun shining brightly through the windows of our penthouse. I stretched my arms, feeling a sense of normalcy wash over me. Maybe yesterday's anxiety was just a one-off, I thought to myself.
I got out of bed and made my way to the kitchen, where I found a delicious breakfast spread waiting for me. I smiled to myself, feeling grateful for the small pleasures in life.As I ate my breakfast, I noticed that Rithvik, my usual guard, was nowhere to be found since Vikram's gone. I frowned to myself, wondering where he was. But I didn't think much of it, assuming he must be with Vikram or something.
After finishing my breakfast, I headed to my workstation, Design Door. I spent the morning working on my designs, lost in my own little world. But as the day wore on, I started to feel a sense of unease. I tried calling Vikram, but he didn't respond. I sent him a few texts, but he didn't reply to those either.I started to feel a sense of worry creeping in. Where was Vikram? Why wasn't he responding to my calls and texts?
Just as I was starting to get really anxious, I received a call from Prithvi, Vikram's assistant."Hey, Vyom, don't worry about Vikram," Prithvi said, his voice calm and reassuring. "Things are just getting a bit out of hand at the Rajvansh mansion right now."I frowned, feeling a sense of confusion. "What do you mean?" I asked.Prithvi hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Rajveer and his assistant, Prashi has gone under an accident, Rajveer is fine, but Prashi has seemed to lose to a lot of her blood. Rajveer is in devastating state, he seems like he will die out of a heartbreak and Vikram is dealing with the one behind the accident, it seems that one of our loyal butlers has been leaking information to our rivals. We're trying to figure out who it is and how to stop them."I felt a sense of shock wash over me. An accident? A traitor in their midst? That was serious. But what did it have to do with Vikram's absence? Why wasn't he responding to my calls and texts?I felt a sense of unease creeping in, but Prithvi's next words reassured me slightly."Vikram is just busy dealing with the situation, Vyom. He'll be in touch with you soon, I'm sure."
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Okay, I thought to myself. I'll just have to wait and see what happens next.I was walking out of my workstation, lost in thought, when suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder. I spun around, ready to defend myself, but before I could even react, I was surrounded by a group of men.
They were big and burly, with menacing grins on their faces. I knew I was in trouble. But before they could even touch me, Rithvik appeared out of nowhere. He was like a force of nature, taking down the men one by one with his expert fighting skills.
"Rithvik?"
"Vyom, Are you okay!'
"Y--yeah, I am fine."
I watched in awe as he fought, his movements swift and deadly. But despite his best efforts, there were too many of them. They overpowered him, and I saw him fall to the ground.I tried to run away, but it was no use.
They were too strong, too fast. They grabbed me and dragged me away, Rithvik struggling to get free.
I was thrown into a van, Rithvik tossed in beside me.
We were driven to a warehouse on the outskirts of the city, the men dumping us out onto the cold concrete floor.
I looked around, trying to take in my surroundings. The warehouse was dimly lit, the only sound the distant hum of machinery. I was scared, but I knew I had to stay calm.Rithvik was struggling to get to his feet, his eyes fixed on me. "Vyom, are you okay?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.I nodded, trying to reassure him. "I'm fine, Rithvik. But what about you? Are you hurt?"Rithvik shook his head, his eyes scanning the warehouse. "I'm fine. But we need to get out of here. Now."I nodded, my heart racing with fear. But before we could even move, I heard the sound of footsteps echoing through the warehouse. The men who had kidnapped us were back, and this time, they were not alone.
The door flung open to reveal, Rana Pratap Rajput, My father.
