Chapter 424
Untamed: The Alpha
424 POISON AND DARK MAGIC
âCan you get rid of the baby?â Liam asked Ariana, his voice eerily calm right now. He showed the cold side of him.
At this point, there was a tacit understanding between them that the baby in Jasmineâs stomach was not the alphaâs, because the time didnât match at all and there was no way Jasmine could conceive during the time Liam was away.
Not to mention the rumor of the Lunaâs affair with the guard that was supposed to protect her. That really didnât help at all.
If someone else knew about this, Liam would be ridiculed. They wouldnât do it right in his face, but they would definitely do it in their minds and the thought of it alone was something that Liam couldnât bear.
He was the alpha, but his mate was fucked by his man, how stupid did that sound?
âI can,â Ariana replied, she could do that. They were about to abort the pregnancy anyway, but Jasmine backed down at the last minute saying she wanted to think about this matter thoroughly. âBut, we need to wait until Luna is in better condition.â
Liam clenched his jaw and then nodded stiffly.
âTake care of her and let me know once she wakes up.â Liam turned around and then walked out of the room.
That bastard! That man had humiliated him before he died! He left something behind and Liam regretted that he didnât torture him first and let him watch how he would get rid of his child from Jasmineâs stomach.
.....
He should have done that...
===========================
There was a hollow that Jasmine felt the moment she woke up. She didnât immediately open her eyes, because even without doing that, she knew where she was as the smell of disinfectant was pretty strong here.
There was someone else in this room. Ariana? Emily?
The two of them seemed to be often in this place, especially since the little girl took an interest in medicine and herbs and Ariana was generous enough to teach her about it all.
And then, there was the cracking sound of the door, someone else came into this room and greeted the first person in there.
âYou are here so early,â Ariana said, as she put down something on the table. So, it was Emily, who was in the room. âHave you had your breakfast?â
âNot yet,â Emily said. âI am waiting for Eros, he was called to the alphaâs office.â
The mention of âalphaâ made Jasmine clench her fists. She remembered what had happened and what the cause was for her to end up here. She remembered that vividly.
âI will help you to put on the ointment.â Ariana approached Emily, who was sitting on the chair near the bed.
It seemed the little girl was trying to put the medicine on her scars.
It was unfortunate for her to have such scars, but when you were close to danger, you were prone to get hurt, right? It was something that you couldnât avoid.
For a moment, none of them talked, but then when Ariana was done applying the ointment on her scars, Emily spoke very softly.
âIt doesnât work,â she said. She didnât try to hide the pain in her voice. She glanced at Jasmine, who still had her eyes closed.
Her body was full of scars, but it would only take her a few weeks before all of those scars healed, but hers, no one knew how long it would take for her scars to heal, or if that even possible at all.
Ariana didnât reply immediately to what Emily said, but then she comforted her. âLetâs find another way, shall we? Because your scars are associated with dark magic, why donât we start to learn about it first? Maybe we can come up with something.â
âDark magic?â Emily asked. âIsnât that bad?â
âThere is nothing pure bad or pure good, there will be a scale for that. Even if you mix medicinal herbs recklessly, it can be a poison to someone who consumed it.â Ariana patted her shoulder and smiled softly at her, encouraging this young girl to not stop trying.
She was smart with medicinal herbs and absorbed all the knowledge like a sponge.
And after that, the two of them changed Jasmineâs bandages, but she still refused to open her eyes and let them know that she had woken up.
Instead, Jasmine fell asleep again, because she hadnât yet gathered enough energy to face reality. She wanted to escape this life...
=======================
âWhere are we going?â Emily asked Ariana worriedly because she had never been in this part of the pack house before. The air was humid and the smell in this place was unpleasant.
It was weird, knowing that the werewolves had sensitive senses, but this place smelled like rotten fish.
âI want you to know this,â Ariana said calmly. She glanced at Emily, who was walking beside her closely, it was apparent that she was afraid. âDonât be afraid, the alpha has given his permission for you to help me with this.â
Emily didnât feel her worries lessen even a bit with the mention of Alpha, if anything, she became even more suspicious that there was something wrong happening here.
âHelp you with what, Ariana?â Emily just finished her breakfast with Eros when Ariana came to find her. There was nothing weird about that, because she planned to spend her day with her, since Ariana wanted to teach her about poison and dark magic, but why were they here? âAriana, you can tell me, this place is creepy.â
Ariana chuckled and it echoed throughout the corridor, making Emily flinch. âDonât do that, I feel like there is a ghost here.â
âOh, I am sorry,â Ariana laughed lightly. âBut, it is a little bit hard to explain, so I need you to see it by yourself.â
âYou want to show something to me?â Emily and Ariana stopped in front of a door and the foul smell only got stronger.
