Chapter 49
Untamed: The Alpha
49 PLEASE UNDERSTAND ME
Once all the preparations had been made, ten people from Silver River pack were ready to take a long journey to the Fokosa city, from where they would bring back their alphaâs niece.
Since the discussion between Anthony and Gael failed, they didnât have any other option, but to take this matter further and confront them to take back the little girl.
Mateo had warned his alpha countless times that it was not a good idea for them to provoke Chaos, as they witnessed it themselves how easily Chaos destroyed the red moon pack.
However, Anthony insisted that Chaos didnât have any reason to keep his niece by his side. They were not from the same kind while the little girl belonged to his pack.
Though they only came with ten people, their backup would arrive three days from now, just in case the situation could no longer be handled with only an argumentation.
âWe will head to Knoxâs base of operations,â Anthony told Mateo as soon as their plane had landed. And, they were waiting for the cars that would pick them up.
âDo you know his base of operations?â If Gael was dangerous, then Knox was someone that you should be wary of. He was different from Gael after all and more dangerous than that businessman.
âI got the information yesterday,â Anthony replied and then entered the car followed by his beta and another two men, while the rest took different cars.
âItâs not a good idea,â Mateo muttered.
.....
âYou have been disagreeing with my decisions a lot lately.â Anthony leaned his back as he propped his chin on his hand, while staring at the street.
âYou are pushing your luck too far. You can leave her with Chaos, that man didnât say that your niece was under pressure or was hurt when she was with Chaos.â Mateo had stated this countless times, but he didnât know why he spoke the same thing over and over again. He should stop and let the truth slap Anthonyâs face so hard.
However, the thing that he couldnât deny was; the alphaâs decision could put their pack in harmâs way, after all, it was not a good idea to receive the short end of Chaosâs wrath.
âWe donât leave our people out there alone. We donât leave anyone behind.â That was the slogan that they, as shifters, always chanted. They lived by that rule.
But, this was too risky...
===================
Sol had been staying inside the conference room after the last meeting with all the people to finalize their plan to eliminate Gael McKeltar three days from now.
No one knew that Gael McKelter, the successful businessman, was a non- human being and the fact that he had commanded a few men to beat Sol up to death and also his violent nature toward Lise Alington, was not acceptable.
They needed to take action, an extreme decision at that, to eliminate that man. He had broken all the rules between the non- human beings and the humans.
âIs this your way of taking revenge?â Jasmine waltzed into the room and stood beside Sol, who was leaning his back against the table behind him, staring at the board, where their plan had been discussed until a moment ago.
âThis is not revenge, this is enforcement of the rules,â Sol corrected his older sister.
âDonât make me laugh little brother,â Jasmine mocked him and this made Sol narrow his eyes at her. âYou want to get that girl, right?â
âLise is not âthat girlâ.â The term sounded as if Jasmine were looking down at her. âAnd no, this is not about revenge. This is about how we enforce the rules upon those creatures who refuse to obey them.â
Jasmine was the twin sister of July, but both of them have different personalities. One could even say that the two of them were completely the opposite of each other.
However, upon hearing his answer, Jasmine laughed. âYou are like July. You donât care about this organization, so you donât need to sound sincere with your words. The two of you consider this organization trash.â
Sol lifted his head to look at her, his jaw clenched tightly. He didnât know when was the last time that their conversation didnât turn south.
âI am sorry if I am not as ambitious as you about managing this organization.â Sol shifted his body so he could face his sister. âBut, if I do, you will not stand a chance to lead this organization.â
Solâs words seemed to hit the right spot, as Jasmineâs mocking expression turned ugly. While Sol failed to understand how her twin sister could give off a very different vibe.
âBoth of us know how much father wants me to lead this organization because I am the only man in this family.â Sol added when he saw Jasmine was about to talk.
Truthfully, he felt like an a*****e for bringing this thing up, since this was not what he felt, but Jasmine needed a little blow to her ego.
âI will show you that you donât need to be a man to lead.â After saying that, Jasmine walked out of the room. She was determined to take over this organization once their father stepped down. She was the older child after all, so all of this belonged to her.
===================
âYOU WILL HURT THE BABY!â Gael yelled at Lise when she wanted to take a walk for a little bit longer out of her bedroom. âYOU NEED TO REST!â
Gael McKeltar had become the epitome of paranoia.
He wouldnât let Lise take a walk longer than what the doctor told her and insisted that she had to stay in the bed, thinking that even a gush of wind would hurt her.
âPlease, understand me... I am doing this for you and our baby.â
He was crazy and Lise couldnât take it anymore.
âGael...â Lise touched his face. âYou can kill me now, just kill me and end this misery...â
