Five minutes passed, and Anita skillfully dodged Aspen’s punches with great expertise. Despite her small size, she took advantage of her petite frame to make it difficult for Aspen’s punches to reach her.

They weren’t surprised as Luna Sheila had trained with them from the beginning before Beta Dustin solely took over for reasons only known to him.

Now, they began to feel that Luna Sheila was scarce at training because she devoted her time to the weak trainees. The outcome was just amazing.

“Then where is she?” Clayton, another warrior asked. Alpha Nick felt a lump in his throat. With all gazes pinned expectantly on him, he replied,

“She’s traveling for a while. We won’t be seeing her for months.” He hoped that within that time, he could train Charlotte to fit into Sheila’s shoes. She was his mate and soon to be Luna. As such, this should be her

responsibility.

Faces fell. “She didn’t even say goodbye,” Anita said sadly.

Alpha Nick’s lips pursed, not liking the dull spirit in his warriors due to the information. “Tell you what, she’s still preparing and will be here to say her final goodbye.”

The excitement he saw on their faces caused a strange yearning in his heart. Why didn’t anyone tell him that Sheila was doing far more than was expected of her? Yet, he denied her the only thing she ever asked throughout their six months of marriage. To go to the gala awards with her.

Charlotte was crestfallen as things were moving too slow for her. However, recalling the hint Sheila dropped last night, she planned to be of her best behavior to not make Alpha Nick suspicious of anything.

Charlotte was displeased by his analysis. Knowing her weakness in battle, she only had her sexy form to show off. If she covered up, then how would she be attractive to him enough to seduce him?

Beta Dustin felt humiliated to train with these weak ones. “They aren’t up to it. I was the one who sent them away,” he said seriously, his burning gaze forbidding any of them from volunteering.

When everyone gave up on them, suggesting they be sent to live among the omegas or the shacks, Luna Sheila was the only one who saw the potential in them.

Alpha Nick nodded his head, beckoning them to the center of the gym. Everyone moved backward, and the training battle began.

Jaws almost dropped when they realized that Calister was even better than Anita. Unknown to them, he has been training secretly after every session to be graded among the best warriors in the future.

Beta Dustin was trying every means to defeat Calister in less than a minute, but six minutes passed, and he was already sweating.

Calister looked tired but was still not giving in. Frustrated, Beta Dustin was about to shift when Alpha Nick roared, “Enough!”

Calister quickly went back to his position as Alpha Nick addressed his beta in a hushed tone. “You call that nothing of interest? Why did you try to shift right now?” His voice was slightly raised as his anger burned.
