The Alpha’s Obsession with his Ex-Contract Luna
Chapter 26
Beta Dustin took deep breaths to calm himself, feeling embarrassed to be at an equal level with Sheilaâs trainee. Did it mean that Sheila could defeat him in a fight?
âIt doesnât change anything. Your mate is here, so stop thinking about Sheila. You already divorced her,â he
retorted with his voice lowered.
Alpha Nick sensed the hostility in his tone at the mention of Sheilaâs name. He didnât even add her title to it. He spoke calmly. âI did, but I owe this to the pack.â
Beta Dustin frowned as suspicion glazed his eyes. âWhat are you planning to do?â
Alpha Nick did not see a reason to reveal his plan to him but was speaking in a whisper. âSheila has to meet them.
for the last time.â
Beta Dustin didnât like the idea and tried to discourage Alpha Nick from it. âAlpha Nick, that isnât fair to your
mate. She already endured so much.â
Somehow, Alpha Nick felt that Dustinâs concern was not really for Charlotte per se. âWhy do I sense that you hate Sheila? What did she do to you?â He asked directly, and Beta Dustinâs head lowered instantly.
âAlpha, I donât hate her. Iâm only afraid that she would turn the pack against you.â He was speaking for himself but said it in a way to favor Alpha Nick. It didnât seem to work as disbelief settled in Alpha Nickâs eyes..
âDoes she look like that kind of person to you? She even refused her alimony.â
Beta Dustin was so upset, he couldnât get over the embarrassment. âWhat if she did it to make you feel guilty like you are doing now?â He always tried to tune Alpha Nickâs mind to Charlotte throughout his marriage to Sheila and was still using the same method.
This time around, after everything thatâs happened, Alpha Nick had doubts. âSheila would not doâ¦â
âNick, how do I look?â Charlotte asked from behind, interrupting the conversation. Alpha Nick turned around to
look at the sweatpants she now wore.
âBetter. Join training. I have to make a call.â

Beta Dustin knew who he was going to call, and with Charlotteâs presence, he tried to stop Alpha Nick. âAlpha, I hope you arenât calling Sheila?â

Alpha Nick was about to address his not calling Sheila by her title when Charlotte interrupted with a pitiful look, looking hurt. âNick, are you calling her?â
Alpha Nick reluctantly lowered his phone due to the painful look in Charlotteâs eyes. âLetâs talk about it later, but you have a lot to learn.â He turned to the trainees. âNow letâs proceed with what we were discussing before.â
One of the warriors, Obed, raised his hand to speak. âAlpha, how can I defeat someone in wolf form without shifting?â
âSimple, run,â Alpha Nick spoke with amusement in his tone. Everyone laughed as he explained, âyou just canât defeat a wolf in your physical form unless you have practiced it, but why take the risk when you can equally use your wolf?â
Obed explained his reason for asking the question since he was among Sheilaâs trainees. âAlpha, we havenât. trained in wolf form.â
Alpha Nick pursed his lips in understanding and was about to say something when Anita added, âLuna Sheila said it was going to be our next stage of training, but she never showed up after.â
Charlotteâs teeth ground together, they felt like wax in her mouth. Even in Sheilaâs absence, her name was still all over the pack. Charlotte shook her head, thinking about how to make Sheila disappear forever.
âLike I said, there has been an emergency, and she has to travel for some time,â Alpha Nick said calmly, but Charlotteâs face fell. She couldnât wait until training was over before approaching Alpha Nick and asking him,
âWhat are you doing? When are you going to give them the news about the divorce?â She hated that Alpha Nick changed the plan without consulting her.
He was supposed to announce the divorce to the pack and introduce her, but creating the excuse that Sheila. traveled would only make the warriors long for her even more.
âRight after you prove capable of filling the gap. Sheila has trained a lot of weak warriors, and they have built a lot of trust in her. Announcing you anytime soon would only break their trust in me and the pack,â Alpha Nick explained seriously.
With matters of the pack, he would put all other things aside and do the needful. Charlotte could not help, so all

âSo how are you going to introduce me?â Charlotte was already fighting the tears that threatened to fall, not wanting to embarrass herself in front of the warriors.
Alpha Nickâs response broke her even more. âI donât need to do any introduction. They already know you as my mate. We just have to hold on with the coronation.â

Charlotte was as pale as a ghost but also knew that Alpha Nick was in a tight situation now. The only bring his attention back to her was to train harder. âAlright. I will work hard.â
âGood,â Alpha Nick responded with an approving smile. He directed his attention to the trainees once again.
âI guess none of you have any weakness that you know of, so Iâm going to be the one asking the questions next.â

None of the warriors wanted to fall into the Alphaâs trap as a zillion of them lifted their hands simultaneously. âAlpha, I have a question,â they said together. Amusement laced the corner of Alpha Nickâs lips as he took in their questions one after the other.
By the time training was over, Alpha Nick was exhausted, not from physical activity but because of Sheila. He was also certain that henceforth, his presence was well needed during training to complete what Sheila started.
with those warriors.
âSo how are you going to get Sheila to come over for the goodbye message?â Beta Dustin asked when Alpha Nick discharged the warriors and trainees. Alpha Nick smiled faintly.

âI have my ways with her.â
Beta Dustin did not look pleased but couldnât stop him. Alpha Nick retrieved his phone from the pocket of his sweat pants and dialed Sheilaâs number. It rang, but she didnât answer the phone.
When she kept ignoring it continuously for the fifth time, he sent her a message that forced her to instantly
return his call.
âIf you donât answer my call now, donât expect me to show up in court for the final divorce procedures.â
His phone rang instantly as he spoke, and as soon as he answered it. âSheila, I need a favor.â
