âWhat the hell is going on here?â Alpha Nickâs voice was a blend of wrath, coldness, anger, and danger.
Charlotte smiled and waved at Alpha Nick, thinking he hadnât seen her, but sadly, the manâs face was brazened as if he never knew her. âI donât want to repeat myself.â
Charlotte panicked. What happened to Alpha Nick after the divorce? What did the bitch Sheila do to him? He was behaving as if he never knew her and was blinded from seeing her.
Perhaps, she should remind him of his very words since she knew about his OCPD. âNick, I thought weâd celebrate your divorce. You said earlier that we could mate and mark each other when it was all over.â
Charlotteâs voice shook slightly, and she had lost the seduction in her eyes and demeanor due to Alpha Nickâs
angry gaze.
Back then, she never came to the pack house, not knowing the extent of
his disorder. Thinking about when he eagerly wanted to take her to the packhouse to make her, Charlotte felt there was something wrong.
If she had not resisted by then, she would have been marked by him. Alpha Nickâs eyes were so dark, Charlotte couldnât comprehend if he was the one speaking or his wolf had taken over.
This was all strange to her, and she had no idea how to handle it when every word he spoke were like sharp blades cutting through her heart.
âI hate sharing my space. I hate for anyone to come to my room after the cleaner cleans it. Now you have rearranged everything, and it will be hard for me to find what is what.â
The more he scanned the room, the angrier he got. Charlotte had indeed added a few decors to make it look a little more feminine. Only one cleaner was also allowed to clean his room so everything would be the same as
before.
Charlotte could not find a place in his room until she redecorated it. When Alpha Nick went to finalize the divorce with Sheila, her joy knew no bounds, arousing her eagerness to take her place by his side as his Luna.
Swallowing her disappointment, she forced a smile. âNick, but we are going to move in together anyway. How do we mate if we live in separate rooms?â

It was as if she was speaking to a stick as his gaze remained dark. It was so dark, it caused her heart to throb.
âGet the maids to clear everything. Donât do this again,â Alpha Nick said sternly in an Alpha tone. Charlotte couldnât take it anymore. If she lost control of him now, it was tantamount to losing him forever.
Per pack traditions, this was supposed to be their wedding night as she was no longer interested in the human wedding like before.

As soon as the mating and marking was done, Alpha Nick would have no choice but to announce her as the Luna. Now, the only thing he made her feel was shame and embarrassment, she couldnât hold back her tears and yelled at him.
âNick, Iâm your mate for crying out loud.â
Draping on his towel robe, Charlotte ran out of the room.
Alpha Nick regained himself. Panting heavily, he felt strange and guilty. His quiet time was ruined so he descended the stairs and instructed the maids to tidy up his room. Without a word to anyone, his direction was fixed into the woods.
Athena happened to hear the sound of sniffling when she passed Charlotteâs door after hearing the commotion next door. She might not like Charlotte, but this was still her pack, and for as long as she wasnât extremely ill, she had to take interest in the happenings.
âDid something happen to Charlotte?â She asked one of the maids passing by.
âYes, maâam. Alpha Nick got upset because his mate organized a romantic surprise in his room. He kicked her out and instructed us to clean it.â
Athena shook her head. This is what she tried to warn Nick about, but he never listened to her.
âThank you,â she said to the maid before knocking on Charlotteâs door, pushing it open without getting a response. Charlotte, who was in tears, quickly wiped them.
âMaâam.â
âI heard you crying.â Athena was direct and sat beside her on the bed. Seeing her in Alpha Nickâs robe, it was easy to understand the gravity of the situation.

Alpha Nickâs disorder was diagnosed since he was three. At first, they thought he would outgrow it with time when he never allowed anyone, including his mother, to touch his things.
He was extremely neat for his age and would not step out of his room if there was even a little stain on his shirt. As he grew, it only grew worse as doctors couldnât find a solution for him.
They hoped that finding his mate would help, which worked before Charlotteâs disappearance. Back then, he was so eager to mate with her that he couldnât care about anything, but things were no longer simple like people.
âNo, itâs nothing.â Charlotte refused to confide in Athena, knowing that the woman never liked her. She would even be ashamed to speak to Bree about it.
Athena never tried to cajole her but rather spoke honestly. âTo tell you the truth, I donât like you, but I always like the right thing to be done.â
Charlotte was glum. âYou are happy to see me miserable anyway.â
Athena shook her head. Charlotte thought the woman was beginning to like her, but her words rather cut deeper.
âYou are wrong. I would prefer you out of the packhouse than to see you like this, so out with it.â
Charlotteâs hands balled into fists. âHe promised that after the divorce, we could mark and mate, but when I prepared a surprise for him, he was upset. Maâam, is it wrong for me to be in his room?â
âNo, itâs not wrong at all. You must sleep there from henceforth,â Athena said seriously. Charlotte was shocked. At first, she was excited since that was what she wanted, but Alpha Nickâs behavior a while ago scared her. She feared the woman would put her into a bigger mess.
After all, she already confessed not liking her. âNo, maâam, I canât do that. He wonât be happy.â
Athena insisted on it to prove a point. âThat must be done. Get the servants to move your things to his room now,â she instructed. Charlotte was scared of going close to that room.
âNo, maâam, I have to talk it over with him first. If anything, I should rather move to the Lunaâs chamber.â Yes, that was what she wanted. To move Sheilaâs things out of the packhouse, but Athena was not in agreement with
that.

âIf you wonât do it, then I will take responsibility for it.â Luna Athena went out with Charlotte following her as she instructed the maids,
âMove her things to Nickâs room.â
The maids shivered but dared not disobey her. âYes, maâam,â they chorused and scurried into Charlotteâs room. Charlotte was scared but also happy. However, Athena still had some more tricks up her sleeves.
âLetâs wait for him in the living room,â Athena said. Charlotte didnât know whether to be happy or sad but was
glad that Athena would take the blame for everything.
Neither of them expected to wait for close to three hours. When Alpha Nick returned, he was drenched in sweat
as Athena announced,
f
âNick, since your divorce is complete, itâs time to give us grandchildren. I already moved Charlotteâs things to
your room.â
Alpha Nick felt as if the ground he stood on was spinning. âMom, you did what?â
