Alpha Nick may not remember what happened after he took that drink, but the piece of earring belongs to someone he saw at the event. It was Sheila. However, since he couldn’t recall the details of whatever happened last night, he couldn’t confirm if it was her blood on the linen.

What if it was just a coincidence? He needed to see her to clarify things between them. Remembering the card she gave him, he picked up the hotel phone and dialed the number on it, which was instantly answered.

“Welcome to Sherry’s Couture and Glamour. I’m Belle, your manager.”

Alpha Nick didn’t have time for pleasantries, yelling, “Put Sheila on the line,” he demanded.

“I’m sorry, but I don’t know who you are talking about,” the woman at the end of the line responded curtly. Alpha Nick was upset. Then he remembered that no one had called her Sheila at the whole event except him.

Was her name Sheila also a secret? Recalling how she had said that she left everything for him, he felt terrible. “I mean your boss, Sherry.”

“I’m sorry, sir, but she never shows up at the office,” Belle maintained curt responses, hoping to hear something different but not another annoying demand.

“Then give me her number.”

For courtesy’s sake, Sherry didn’t want to hang up on whoever this potential customer was, even as her patience was reaching its limit. She maintained politeness in her tone, responding once more.

“If she wanted, she would have given it to you herself. I presume that you are not calling for business, so I will hang up now.”

“I’m calling for a business worth five hundred million, but I want your boss,” Alpha Nick proposed before she had. the chance to end the call.

Turning the demand into a business matter, Belle’s voice was covered in warmth. “I will send your message. across. If it piques her interest, then she will get in touch with you.”

“Just give me her number,” Alpha Nick demanded once more, knowing that Sheila would not call him no matter what. For goodness‘ sake, she had even blocked his number.

“I’m sorry, sir, but is there anything else you want to discuss regarding business?” Belle asked, hinting that she was going to end the call. Alpha Nick felt helpless.

Gone were the days when Sheila was always there when he got back from everywhere he went, welcoming him calmly and begging him to eat. Now, she was so far from reach, he couldn’t even speak to her directly.

He was about to give up before remembering the earring. “My name is Alpha Nick, and I have something that belongs to her. If she doesn’t see me, I will discard it, and mind you, it’s a diamond.”

Belle found herself in a difficult position. It was only yesterday that she found out her boss had been married to Alpha Nick and divorced.

At the party, she saw her boss in an intimate position with Alpha Nick before they both entered the elevator, and that was the last anyone saw of them. Who knew if it was the diamond necklace he was talking about?

Also, they all kept searching for their boss last night, but she was nowhere to be found, her phone switched off. She had to think of something fast.

“Alpha Nick, I’m sorry I can’t go against my boss’s orders, but I believe she will be at the party for the Alpha King’s daughter in two days.”

Alpha Nick had received the invitation for that birthday party but wanted Beta Dustin to represent him. Now that he got this heads up, he wasn’t going to miss it for anything. “Thank you for your help.”

After showering, he couldn’t wear his clothes scattered on the floor anymore, so he called room service to get him some clothes. As he waited for the delivery, he got in touch with the hotel’s IT department, placing a demand.

“I want the CCTV footage of the events of last night.”

“I’m sorry, sir, but that is not available,” a male voice responded sternly. Alpha pursed his lips thoughtfully. He didn’t want to mention his name, even though that would have made things easy, opening the doors of opportunity for him, but rather said,

“I’m willing to pay.”

“I will have to call you back,” the male voice said and ended the call.

he opened the door. Seeing Alpha Nick in person, her jaws dropped. In his towel robe, he looked just like a sex god, and she lost her voice momentarily.

“You are?” Alpha Nick asked with a cold gaze.

“The… the CCTV footage,” she stammered, her cheeks staining red from blushing so hard. Alpha Nick held the door, and she walked in, her knees wobbling from the exciting cling of her body.

She couldn’t tell from Alpha Nick’s dark look if he was aware of the allure of his body. “Sit on the couch and let me see,” he said indifferently.

Alpha Nick dropped a card on the side table beside the couch. “Keep that card. It has two million.”

The lady’s eyes widened as she gave him the iPad in her hand. Alpha Nick fast–forwarded the footage to the garden where he picked the drink, then followed through to where he picked a second drink. Then, there was nothing more about him.

“No, something is off,” he said with a darkened gaze. The lady was disturbed. “I assure you, Alpha, everything is in there.”

Alpha Nick walked to her, and she stood up

instantly, looking at the screen of the iPad he was showing her.

“Look at this. I picked a drink and just disappeared.”

The girl paled at the analysis. Someone had tampered with the CCTV footage and didn’t even care to polish it. It was so glaring that some parts had deliberately been cut off.

“I’m very sorry. Someone must have hacked into our server. I can’t help you. Please keep the money,” she said and rushed out of the room before Alpha Nick could convince her to keep the money.

Alpha Nick’s expression was so dark and cold; it overshadowed his handsome features, leaving her with only fears of him.

He had in mind to find whoever deleted the footage, but first, he had to ensure that neither Charlotte nor Tom left his pack.

He picked up his personal phone, and as soon as he switched it on, countless messages began to drop from all angles. They included messages from Charlotte, Tom, Dustin, his parents, business partners, and other Alphas.

He ignored them and dialed Beta Dustin’s number. “Alpha, thank goddess you are safe. Your mate returned a few hours ago with Tom. She was crying that something must have happened to you,” Dustin excitedly reported, surprised by how aloof and cold Alpha Nick turned out.

“Make sure that both Tom and Charlotte don’t leave the pack, and don’t let them know that I called. I’m coming.” As soon as he finished speaking, he switched off his phone.
