ARABELLA ARMANI

I stirred, the soft light of morning filtering through the curtains. She stretched, blinking in confusion as she took in her surroundings.

This wasn't my room then the events of the previous night came flooding back falling asleep on the couch, alessio carrying her upstairs i realized i was in his room, tucked under the warm blankets.

A soft knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts.

"Morning," Alessio's voice came through, gentle and reassuring.

"Morning," I replied, sitting up "Thanks for... last night."

"Anytime," he said, his smile evident even through the door. "There's coffee downstairs when you're ready."

I smiled feeling a bit more at ease, after freshening up i made my way to the kitchen, where Alessio had already brewed a fresh cup of vanilla ice coffee.

The quiet morning felt comforting, a stark contrast to the turmoil of the past few days.

As i sipped my coffee, my phone buzzed on the counter.I went and picked it up to see a call from my best friend, Sarah.

I hesitated for a moment before answering.

"Hey babes!" Sarah's cheerful voice filled the line. "Carter and I have been trying to get a hold of you. How are you holding up?"

"I'm okay," I said, though my voice lacked conviction.

"Well, we've decided you need a night out," Sarah announced. "We're going to the club tonight, and you're coming with us."

I groaned. "I don't know, Sarah. I'm not really in the mood for that."

"Exactly why you need it," Sarah insisted. "You've been cooped up too long. A night of dancing and fun will do you good."

"Yeah, Ara," Carter chimed in from the background. "You can't say no to us. We'll be there to pick you up at eight. No excuses."

I sighed, knowing they wouldn't take no for an answer. "Fine, but I'm not promising I'll stay long."

"Deal!" Sarah exclaimed. "We'll see you tonight. And don't worry, we've got everything covered."

After hanging up, I leaned against the counter, a mix of anxiety and anticipation swirling within her. When alessio walked in, noticing my conflicted expression.

"Everything okay?" he asked.

"Sarah and Carter are dragging me to the club tonight," she admitted. "I'm not really feeling it, but they're not giving me a choice."

Alessio chuckled softly. "Maybe it'll be good for you. Sometimes getting out and being with friends can help."

I nodded though i still felt uncertain. "I guess we'll see."

The rest of the day passed quickly, and before she knew it, eight o'clock rolled around. A knock at the door signaled Sarah and Carter's arrival. 8 took a deep breath, smoothing her dress before heading to the door.

Alessio gave me an encouraging smile as i grabbed her bag. "Have fun tonight. You deserve it."

"Thanks, Alessio," I said, feeling a little more confident "I'll try."

As I stepped outside, Sarah and Carter greeted me with excited smiles, ready to whisk me away for a night of fun.

Though I was hesitant, i couldn't help but feel grateful for my friends' determination to lift my spirits.

-skip to them at the club

The bass from the club's speakers pulsed through the air, vibrating through the floor as me ,sarah, and carter made our way inside.

The vibrant lights flickered and danced across the crowded room, illuminating the throngs of people moving to the beat of the music. The energy was infectious, and despite my initial hesitation, i felt my slowly being drawn in by the atmosphere.

Sarah grabbed my hand, pulling me toward the bar. "Come on! First round's on us."

Carter followed, already grinning as he waved down the bartender. "Three shots, please!"

I laughed despite myself, leaning against the bar as Sarah and Carter handed me a shot glass. "Here's to letting go and having fun tonight!" Sarah cheered, raising her glass.

"To a good night!" Carter added with a wink.

Reluctantly, I clinked my glass against theirs and downed the shot, the liquid burning as it went down but warming me from the inside. I shook her head, laughing at the taste. "That was strong."

"That's the point!" Sarah grinned, grabbing my hand again. "Now, let's dance!"

We moved toward the dance floor, where the crowd was already in full swing. The music was loud, the beat impossible to resist. Sarah and Carter immediately started dancing, pulling me along with them. At first, i felt awkward, my movements stiff and hesitant, but as the minutes passed, i began to loosen up.

The music's rhythm guided her, and soon enough, she found herself laughing and moving with her friends, the weight of the past few days slipping away.

The flashing lights, the pounding music, and the sheer joy of being surrounded by friends created a bubble of euphoria that i hadn't realized i needed.

Carter leaned in, shouting over the music, "See? This isn't so bad, right?"

I nodded, a genuine smile spreading across my face. "Okay, you were right! I needed this."

Sarah cheered, spinning me around. "That's the spirit! Tonight, we're just here to have fun."

We danced until our legs grew tired, pausing only to grab another drink or catch their breath. The night stretched on, filled with laughter, music, and the kind of carefree energy that only comes from being with good friends in a place that feels like an escape from reality.

As we finally took a break, sitting at a small table near the edge of the dance floor, i realized just how much lighter i felt.

The tension that had gripped me for days was gone, replaced by a sense of freedom and connection.

"Thank you," i said, looking at Sarah and Carter. "I really needed this."

Sarah smiled, squeezing Lila's hand. "That's what we're here for. No more sadness, okay?"

"Yeah," Carter added. "We've got your back, always."

i nodded, feeling a warmth that had nothing to do with the alcohol. For the first time in days, i felt like myself again.

And with her friends by my side, i knew i could face whatever came next.

As they sat at the table, the music still thumping in the background, i leaned back, taking in the scene around her. The club was alive with energy, people dancing and laughing, the lights casting vibrant patterns across the walls. It felt surreal, like a world apart from the one i'd been stuck in the past few days.

Carter nudged her, a playful grin on his face. "Feeling better now?"

I smiled, nodding. "Yeah, I am. I didn't think I would, but this is exactly what I needed."

Sarah sipped her drink, her eyes twinkling with satisfaction. "Told you. Sometimes you just need to get out and remind yourself that life goes on."

i glanced at her friends, feeling a surge of gratitude. "Thank you, both of you. For not letting me stay stuck in my head."

Sarah waved it off with a smile. "That's what friends are for. Now, are we ready to get back out there?"

Before I could answer, a familiar song started playing, one they had danced to countless times before. Sarah and Carter immediately jumped up, grabbing My hands and pulling me back onto the dance floor.

The familiar beat brought back memories of happier times, and i couldn't help but laugh as we moved together.

We danced like no one was watching, our movements carefree and uninhibited. I felt the music pulse through my veins, each beat lifting my spirits higher. It was as if the music was washing away the remnants of my sadness, leaving me feeling lighter and more alive with each passing moment.

As the night wore on, we continued to dance, taking breaks only when necessary. I found myself fully immersed in the moment, the past few days a distant memory.

At one point, we found ourselves back at the bar, ordering another round of drinks. i leaned against the counter, catching my breath, my face flushed from the exertion and excitement.

Carter raised his glass, giving me a knowing look. "To moving forward and living in the moment."

Sarah lifted her glass as well. "And to friends who remind you of that when you forget."

I raised her own glass, her heart full. "To the best friends anyone could ask for."

We clinked glasses and took a sip, the moment feeling significant in its simplicity. I realized i didn't have to have everything figured out right now.

I just needed to take it one step at a time, and with friends like Sarah and Carter, i knew she wasn't alone.

As the night finally wound down and we headed out into the cool night air, i felt a renewed sense of hope.

I wasn't sure what the future held, but for the first time in days, she felt ready to face it. I thought as we drove to my house
