0016|what feels right

MY DADDYS BEST FRIEND||18+

narrator

The days that followed were a mix of excitement and adjustment for Arabella and Alessio. Their relationship had taken a new turn, and while they were both eager to explore it, there were still moments of uncertainty.

Arabella found herself smiling more, her days feeling lighter with Alessio around. They spent more time together, falling into an easy routine that felt natural. But with this newfound closeness came the challenge of balancing their emotions with the realities of their situation.

One afternoon, as Arabella sat in her room working on her laptop, her phone buzzed with a message from Sarah.

Sarah bby😈

Hey, how are things with Alessio? You've been pretty quiet lately!

Arabella smiled, her fingers quickly typing a response.

baby momma arabella 😩🥰

Things are good. We've been spending more time together, but it's still kind of new. I'm trying to figure it all out.

Sarah bby😈

That's great to hear! Just take it one day at a time. You deserve to be happy.

baby momma arabella 😩🥰

Thanks, Sarah. I'll keep you updated.

She set her phone down, her thoughts drifting to Alessio. He had been nothing but patient and supportive, giving her the space she needed to process everything. It was one of the things she appreciated most about him.

Later that evening, Alessio knocked on her door, peeking in with a soft smile. "Hey, want to take a break? I was thinking we could cook dinner together."

Arabellas eyes lit up at the suggestion. "That sounds perfect. Let's do it."

They made their way to the kitchen, pulling out ingredients and falling into a comfortable rhythm. Alessio chopped vegetables while Arabella prepared the pasta, their conversation flowing easily. It was moments like these that made everything feel so right.

As they sat down to eat, Alessio looked across the table, his eyes warm. "You've been quiet today. Everything okay?"

she nodded, taking a bite of her food. "Yeah, I've just been thinking a lot. About us, about how things are changing."

He set his fork down, giving her his full attention. "I know it's a lot to process. If you ever want to talk, I'm here."

She smiled, reaching across the table to take his hand. "I know. And I appreciate it. It's just... I'm really happy, but I'm also scared. This is new for both of us."

Alessio squeezed her hand gently. "It is new, but we'll figure it out together. No rush, no pressure."

His words reassured her, and they continued their meal in comfortable silence, the bond between them growing stronger with each passing day.

As the night settled in, they found themselves on the couch again, this time wrapped in a shared blanket, the glow of the fireplace adding to the cozy atmosphere.

Arabella rested her head on Alessio's shoulder, feeling a sense of peace she hadn't known she needed.

"I'm glad we're doing this," she murmured, her voice soft.

"Me too," Alessio replied, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "No matter what happens, we'll face it together."

She closed her eyes, savoring the moment. It wasn't a perfect journey, but it was theirs, and that was enough. Together, they were learning to navigate their new normal, one step at a time.

As the fire crackled softly in the background, Arabella felt herself relax completely in Alessio's arms. The warmth of his presence, combined with the coziness of the room, made her feel safe and content. She sighed, her fingers tracing small patterns on the back of his hand.

"I never imagined things would turn out like this," she whispered, her thoughts drifting. "It's kind of surreal."

Alessio tilted his head slightly to look at her. "Yeah, life has a way of surprising us. But sometimes, those surprises are exactly what we need."

Arabella lifted her head to meet his gaze, her heart swelling with emotion. "You've been my rock through everything. I don't know what I would've done without you."

He smiled, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "You're stronger than you think, baby. But I'm glad I could be here for you. You've helped me too, more than you know."

She leaned into his touch, their faces inches apart. The intensity of the moment wrapped around them, the unspoken emotions finally surfacing. Slowly, Alessio closed the distance, their lips meeting in a gentle, heartfelt kiss. It wasn't rushed or overwhelming—it was tender, filled with the promise of something deeper.

When they pulled back, Lila's cheeks flushed, a soft smile playing on her lips. "That was..."

"Long overdue," Alessio finished, his voice barely above a whisper.

They sat there in comfortable silence, the connection between them solidified by the kiss. Arabella rested her head on his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. It was a sound that brought her comfort, a reminder that she wasn't alone.

As the fire burned low, Alessio shifted slightly, his arms still wrapped around her. "Do you want to head upstairs? It's getting late."

Arabella nodded, though she was reluctant to move from the warmth of his embrace. Together, they stood, turning off the lights and making their way up the stairs. When they reached her bedroom door, Alessio hesitated, his hand lingering on the doorknob.

"Do you want me to stay?" he asked softly, his eyes searching hers.

Arabella didn't hesitate. "Yes. Stay."

They entered the room, and Arabella slipped into bed, watching as Alessio settled in beside her. The weight of the day, the conversations, and the emotions finally caught up to her. She curled up against him, her head resting on his shoulder.

As they drifted off to sleep, Arabella felt an overwhelming sense of peace. For the first time in a long while, the future didn't feel so daunting. With Alessio by her side, she knew they could face whatever challenges lay ahead.

Together, they were stronger. Together, they were beginning a new chapter—one filled with hope, love, and the promise of something beautiful.
