Chapter 94
Unfinished Business with You
Chapter 94
She told Eugene politely, âGo to my studio then. Let me off somewhere I can hail a ride.â
She told Eugene politely, âGo to my studio then. Let me off somewhere I can hail a ride.â
For some reason, Eugene didnât want to get separated from her this way. âIâm not busy today, so why
donât you move over today?â
âToday?â Olivia was surprised.
âYeah. Iâll call the movers to move your stuff, then Iâll take you to the residence to pick North up.â
Procrastination wasnât Eugeneâs style, so he called the movers quickly. Because she just came back,
Olivia didnât have many possessions. With the help of a mover company, it didnât take long before
everything was moved, and without them lifting a finger too.
When Olivia came to Muse Peninsula and saw the bigger house, she felt like she was dreaming. âI
heard itâs hard to buy a house here. The availabilityâs zero, so how did you do it?â
âThe Nolan Group owns them.â He laughed.
That answered her question. No wonder he managed to get one so quickly. âI canât stay for free then. I
didnât do anything to deserve this, so I canât accept your gift. Itâs too much!â
Eugene said imperiously, âJust stay here. Youâre not being you.â
âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â She pouted.
âYou didnât even bat an eye when you made me pay so much for that item. It was supposed to cost five
hundred thousand, and just because you wanted to get back at me, you made it cost a hundred million.
Now youâre hesitating over a house?â he answered calmly.
Olivia glanced at him. âYou said I have a rotten personality, so anything goes for me, no?â
Eugene stiffened up. âYeah, so keep this up and think of the house as compensation.â
With her head lowered, Olivia mused. âShouldnât I keep letting guilt wrack you?â
âI think you should cash it in for maximum profit,â he replied.
âOkay then.â I do accept good advice sometimes.
âWhat will you do now? Pick North up?â Eugene grinned.
Looking at him, she thought he wasnât as aloof as everyone made him out to be. âSure. Then Iâll buy
something to cook. If you donât mind, come over for some housewarming.â Moving to a new house
meant they had to have a meal in it first, so she couldnât eat out; that was their custom anyway.
âYou can cook?â Eugene looked dubious.
Olivia thought he was laughing at her, so she clicked her tongue. âI donât know much about cooking, but
that doesnât mean I have no idea how to cook at all. How else do you think I managed to raise my
son?â
âYour friends helped?â He laughed.
Olivia scoffed. âYeah right. Fine, Iâll get someone who can cook.â
Then, she called Kate. âKate, I moved into a new house.â
âAgain? Where is it this time?â Kate gasped.
âMuse Peninsula.â
Kate raised her voice, âOh my! Youâre awesome now! A high-end place, huh? Itâs going to cost at least
fifty thousand a month, isnât it? Did Nathan persuade you?â
âI just thought it through, okay? Come here now for some housewarming celebration.â
âYouâre going to ask me to cook, arenât you?â Kate sounded alarmed.
âIâm giving you a chance to show your skills.â
âI call bull. Someone important is there, isnât it? Thatâs why you donât want to cook?â
Canât she keep it down? Looking resigned, Olivia took a few steps away and lowered her voice. âI can
cook, but youâre that bit better than me, no? Iâll shop for groceries, so come here before six.â Before
Kate could protest, Olivia hung up.
