Sharing Beatrice A Luna to her Stepbrothers
Sharing Beatrice A Luna To Her Stepbrothers by Alexis Dee Book 2 Chapter 220 â Letâs Play A Game, Shall We?
âLetâs leave this place and live somewhere else,â he whispered, but thatâs when I recalled Flynn and how he could stay here and ruin everyone.
âNo! I donât want to be selfish.â I shook my head and pushed away from him. He stared at me as if he had seen a ghost.
âBut I...â before he could object, I hushed him this time.
Title of the document âI have a lot to deal with. Iâm not ready for anything right now,â I said as I kept staring into his face and taking steps back from him.
He didnât even know Iâm a weredragon. How can I leave with him or anyone else without telling them the truth?
I took off before he could stop me, sprinting downstairs, when I saw Flynn entering the living room with Mariah behind him. She looked a bit gloomy, and he looked annoyed.
I had to stop and eavesdrop on them because it looked like they were having an argument.
âWhat have I told you about not wandering around Zane?â Flynn started off very strongly. He was growling and grunting at her.
âI wasnâtâ,â her voice was filled with hesitation, âhe came in the view so I asked him how was he?â She was not using her infamous high pitch.
âWhy?â he asked stubbornly.
âFlynn! I donât get what the issue is here. Itâs not like heâs our enemy. We all used to be friendsâ,â as she finally found the courage to stand up for herself. She was shut down by a loud groan from Flynn.
âAnd he is your ex,â he interrupted, reminding her why he wants her to stay away from him.
âItâs not like you donât have a mate who you have yet to reject,â she muttered, giving him back.
There was a silence that made me curious. He probably wasnât expecting that demand.âShe is my fated mate. I cannot just reject her like that,â he argued with her, making me roll my eyes at him for questioning her loyalty while making different rules for himself.
âLike that? So how do you plan to reject her then? Itâs not like you havenât slept with her already. Donât tell me you are planning for more,â she muttered under her clenched jaw, raising a good concern. I would be worried too if the same happened to me.
âMariah! Iâm getting engaged to you today. Is that not enough a*s*surance of my loyalty to you? If thatâs not enough, there is no need for a ceremony then,â his threat made her let out a gasp. I knew he would somehow convince her. âNo! You are taking it wrong.â Her tone changed almost instantly.
âWhatâs the issue? You donât like me talking to Zane? Fine! Iâll not do it. Now, please, letâs not spoil the mood and join the others.
They are waiting for us. The ceremony has started.â I could only imagine how difficult it was for her to fake a happy tone after he basically threatened to leave her.
âYou go ahead and join the others. Iâll come back in a minute. Iâll go check the speakers for the announcement,â Flynn mumbled rudely.
I ran away to hide behind a wall while he went upstairs and Mariah left for the garden.
I knew where Flynn had left off. It was a vacant room on the top floor to fix the power for the speakers. Every packâs alpha and beta have recorded some sweet messages for the couple that would go live from that room.
I knew exactly what I was looking for, so I rushed after him to the room.
He was already inside and checking the plug, making sure he plugged in the recordings instead of the live mic.
I stepped inside and locked the door; he got alarmed at my arrival.
âBeatrice!â he frowned. âWhat are you doing here?â His eyebrows narrowed, and a covering look covered his face, but he managed to quickly run his hand over his gray suit to fix his appearance.
âI came here to see you,â I whispered, looking sad and devastated.
âOh really? Seems like someone hasnât been able to sleep after the announcement of my engagement ceremony.â He folded his arms on his chest and approached me.
I started walking in a circle and stopped with the plug. He turned around with me and faced me.âYou are my mate. How can I be happy?â I scoffed, lowering my eyes as if I were tearing up and wanted to hide my teary eyes from him.
âYou didnât remember that when you called the principal and my mother to mock me in front of the entire school,â he smirked as he watched me look sad over him.
âI was angry,â I said, leaning back on the table and resting my hands behind me. âAnd what about you and the brothers? Did you reject Maddox already?â He asked me, watching me with attention.
âHe did,â I lied. âHe has moved on,â I uttered, but I didnât lie this time. His smirk grew wider, with a hint of triumph in it.
âSee! This is what happens when you cross me. I was going to accept you and not that s*lutty brat, but you pissed me off, and now I have to accept that rusty b*itch. Ah! I canât even back away because I have to look perfect and get her fatherâs shares to surpass Akinâs.â He lowered his head and muttered, scratching his skin as he calculated everything within.
âYou already have Helelâs crown. Why do you want to go after Akinâs business now?â I asked, watching his phone vibrate with his motherâs name on the screen. Before he could answer her call, I pushed forward and held his hands. Although I shocked him with my act, at least he stopped considering picking up the phone call. It took him a minute before he smirked and clutched his fingers tightly around my hands.
âYou want me, donât you?â He smirked, his eyes traveling to my lips.
I wasnât saying anything with my lips, only using gestures, but I was sneaky about it.
So I did whatever I had to do to let him keep talking.
I nodded, and it boosted his ego.
