Chapter 230
Sharing Beatrice A Luna to her Stepbrothers
Sharing Beatrice A Luna To Her Stepbrothers by Alexis Dee Book 2 Chapter 230 â Sell Yourself âAnyway, keep the phone. It will help you connect with Zane,â he said in a bit of a sad tone.
The silence remained between us for a few seconds, during which we only heard each otherâs restless breaths.
âI will go now. I have to take orders,â I excused softly and hung up on him. I didnât enjoy treating him this way, but his constant denial of letting me see Helel had irked me.
Title of the document The rest of the day was tiring. I finally called Zane to tell him I wouldnât be able to meet him today, but now we were arguing about even more stuff.
âSo, Akin gave you this phone?â he asked. I could hear a little complaint in his tone. But I understood why he was feeling this way.
âYeah! He wanted to make sure I was settling well in my new home. But I told him now I have you, so he doesnât have to worry about me,â I comforted him, and in response, he wheezed.
âI was going to gift you one. Why did Akin give you a phone?â he asked, still sounding very upset.
âI told you already, Zane.â I answered, âOkay, listen, I called you to let you know I am unable to come meet you today. Iâm so sorry but the workload is heavy today,â I excused, not wanting to tell him anything about Pamela being difficult. I didnât want to use Zane and his status to bend the rules of my workplace. Since Maura and Pamela would stay here for lunch, I decided to do that too.
âUgh! Do you want me to come and help you?â As he asked, I couldnât help but let out a little laugh. âIâm not joking. I can work,â
he sounded playfully offended. âReally? Do tell me what work you can do,â I shrugged, my lip curling upward to form a teasing smile.
âI can give a shower to the dishes,â he answered very sweetly. I bet he pouted, too.
âOr we canâ,â he continued to talk, but I knew where he was going with his comment.âNo! thank you. I can shower myself.â I instantly shut him down with a playful grunt.
Maura walked into the kitchen with the dirty plates and passed me a smile. âTalking to your boyfriend?â she teased, making me blush even harder. âAnyway, thank you for informing me. I would have been waiting the whole day if I hadnât heard from you. Iâll go now. Take care, okay?â Zane almost instantly wanted to end the call, but I donât blame him. He has a lot of work to do. âOkay!
Take care,â I said and heard him hang up first.
âWow! Look at you! You are all red. Must be someone very special.â Maura was nonstop teasing me ever since she caught me on call. I bet she will be so shocked and happy when she finds out it is one of the brothers.
The rest of the day was dull and busy. After finishing work, Pamela, Maura, and I left for home together around 7 p.m.
Maura parted ways from us a few minutes into the walk, and thatâs when I heard from Pamela that she would be needing to leave to get some groceries in an hour. Since we didnât have time earlier that day, she will be getting them late. The grocery stores here would shut down after 9, so she had to rush.
But that didnât mean she wasnât in the mood to have some conversation with me. âI care about Maura,â she said, turning my attention from the road to her. âItâs because she had been so genuine and honest with me. She truly cares about me and my son.
You know, she never even met my son like that, yet she packs food for him and sends gifts for him. She has a good heart.â She had slowed down now that we were talking.
âShe is,â I agreed.
âThatâs why I will do anything for her.â She then added, âYou can get the same treatment, you know.â
I smiled to myself and nodded even when she was walking a few feet ahead of me and couldnât see my face.
âYou are going to marry someone anyway. And from the things I have heard from your mother about your wolf, I see why you havenât found a suitable mate yet. Donât get me wrong, but obviously Flynn, as someone of royal blood, wasnât a good match for you. An omega like you will be suitable for an omega.â Her words ripped me apart in a few seconds. The fact that my mother had been telling her the same lies she had told me and my brothers before irked me.
As I slowed down and eventually stopped, she ceased her proceeding steps and looked my way.
âI can a*s*sure you of your safety and excellent support, but on one condition only,â she uttered, looking confident about her claims.âAnd what would that be?â I asked, knowing she was going to say something that would make my life restless.
âMy son has found some interest in you. And since you are already staying in our home, I donât think itâs inappropriate for me to suggestââ she took a pause and I wish she hadnât continued after that, âyou sleep with him and help him with his s*e*xual frustration,â
My reaction was explosive. I glared at her and wheezed, but it didnât warn her. âIf you cannot do that, tell your mother to cook for herself and donât expect me to help you two in any other way,â she warned me after she noticed how offended I looked at her offer.
âYou want me to sell myself to your son for some chores?â I muttered in disbelief, feeling disgusted and humiliated.
âItâs up to you to take it, however. You can call it anything, Iâll call it my concern for my son. Itâs because of your arrival that he is now s*e*xually frustrated, so take responsibility for your wrong doings,â she scoffed as she called my existence a wrongdoing.
Thatâs all I did.
I never seduced him or anything.
