Sharing Beatrice A Luna to her Stepbrothers
Sharing Beatrice A Luna To Her Stepbrothers by Alexis Dee Book 2 Chapter 263 â The Bastard Monster Got Me.
Making my way back home through the field was a different kind of feeling for me. I have been calling this my home, but I would feel this weird fear in my heart whenever I would cross the tall gra*s*s that would make me feel like this could and would never be my home. It always felt like somebody was watching me.
âI will charge this thing and call Akin. I have to make sure he knows I am really sorry,â I said to myself while walking to the front of the house.
Now that I knew Lord Vasquez would never punish his sons for anything, I wasnât too afraid of being seen with them. But that didnât mean I was going to get romantically involved with them.
Title of the document I had only knocked once when the door opened, and Pamela welcomed me in with a smile on her lips.
âHow are you?â she asked, grabbing my hand and pulling me inside in a hurry. âI am fiâne,â I replied awkwardly, not getting why she was being so friendly with me.
âOh my Gosh! I have been so worried for you,â she continued to ask, dragging me to the lounge and sitting me down.
âYour hands are so cold,â she said, rubbing my hands between her hands, and then rushing over to the kitchen to get me the tea she always makes for me.
âEh-hum!â I cleared my throat, getting up from the couch when she appeared again and handed me the hot, brewing tea.
âDrink it. You will feel better, and then tell me, where have you been? You got us worried.â She made sure I took a few sips of the drink before I even spoke to her.
âI am so sorry for disappearing with no notice. I had been-wait- where is mom?â I asked as I looked around and didnât find her coming out of the room to nag me for leaving her in the cab alone.
âOh!â Pamela shook her head to make sure she heard me correctly. Your mom? I thought she was with you. You two left together, remember?â She smiled awkwardly, staring me in the eye and waiting for my response.Iâm not going to lie, she gave me a heart attack. For a moment, I didnât even know what to say or how to react.
âShe didnât come back?â I finally broke the silence and asked her, but her reaction gave away the news already.
âShe left for home last night,â I said, getting up from my spot and rushing to the bedroom to look for her stuff.
âWhat are you saying? If she had left, she would have been home already.â Pamela ran after me, and together we ran into the room to find it vacant.
âI am telling you she didnât come home,â Pamela confirmed, wondering why I was looking around when she had told me mom hadnât returned.
âBut where could she be?â I whispered to myself in sheer panic.
âOh Gosh!â I covered my mouth, imagining the worst thing that could have happened to her.
âMaybe she went back to the hotel room?â Pamela suggested, but I gave her a head shake in confidence.
âIt was a hotel suite, not her home. She canât just go live there,â I grunted, feeling angry at myself for not checking on her sooner.
âIt is okay. Calm down. Maybe she went to a friendâs house or something.â Pamela rubbed my arm when trying to make up an excuse for my momâs disappearance, but it was only irking me. I didnât want to hear a bunch of excuses.
The truth was that my mother had gone missing when she came back here. The fact that instant the field appeared in my thoughts, the thought of the monster flashed before my mind.
âOh, no!â I shook my head, feeling a lot dizzier than I was when I came back home. I was sleep deprived, but not to the point where I could not even keep my eyes open, so why the hell was I unable to stay awake?
âI need-,â I struggled to clear my throat, looking for my phone to connect it to the charger. âI need to find âher,â I said.
âWhat is happening to you? Sit down and relax first.â Pamela held my arm, but I shook her away, reaching for my phone.
âWhat are you doing? I called her many times, but she wasnât picking up,â Pamela said, trying to snatch the cellphone out of my hands.âCharger! Can I use your phone?â I asked her, throwing away my phone on the couch and watching her stare back at me, looking a little annoyed with me.
âWhat for? I told you. She isnât picking up.â Her tone was different this time. It was as if she was getting angry with me for trying too hard to connect with my mother.
âI am not calling her. I am calling the Alpha King brothers and reporting her missing,â I groaned, holding my hand out for her. My sight was getting blurry at this point, and I didnât even know why until my eyes landed on the cup of tea resting on the table.
She followed my stare and then straightened her back. The look on her face was enough for me to understand that she had tricked me.
âWhat did you do?â I asked, tears of horror forming in my eyes.
âWhat was needed to be done?â She shrugged as she stepped away from me. âMarkus! Come collect her. She is all yours now,â
she voiced with a smirk.
At that moment, I felt like I was doomed. Hearing the heavy footsteps approaching me from behind, I tried to get away before my legs gave up on me and I collapsed on the floor.
Markus joined his mother before he stepped ahead and kneeled down, saying, âRest well. We have a lot of stuff to do together,â
he whispered, bowing down on my face and kissing my cheek.
All I could do was let out a whimper in a cry of complaint before sleep engulfed me entirely and I could no longer defend, fight, or save myself from the bastard son and his evil mother.
