He had just left Lan City and she’d immediately become uncontactable. She must have known that he was leaving Lan City today.

This was the best time for her to escape from Lan City.

The driver raced all the way back to the station. It was already noon when they arrived. Most of the officers had gone to the canteen for lunch.

He walked into the office and pointed to the word Lhasa on the map on the blackboard.

Jiang Yanshen stopped in front of the map. His black eyes flickered, and his voice was cold and firm. “It’s fake.”

Gu Xici raised his eyebrows in surprise. “How do you know?”

“Her altitude sickness is very serious. She just wanted to escape the marriage, not commit suicide.”
