Chapter 2

It's late at night. I'm still in my cabin, with my love, Selena, in my arms. We’re kissing each other passionately when my phone rings, and we break our kiss.

It’s a call from my father, Mr. Gray.

"Hey, old man!" I greet him.

"Hey, young man!" he replies.

"Aaron, my son, I want you to come home tomorrow morning. There’s something your mom and I want to discuss with you," he says.

"Okay, Dad, I'll be there tomorrow morning. Good night!" I say.

"Good night, my boy!" he says and ends the call.

And then I continue what I left in the middle—making out in my cabin with my love.

I'm Aaron Gray, a 26-year-old, the most eligible billionaire bachelor in the country. I have four very important people in my life: my mom, dad, my little brother, and my love, Selena.

Well, my parents and my brother don’t like her, not even a little bit. I don’t know why… but forget it.

**The Next Morning...**

I go home, as I promised Dad, and head to the dining hall for breakfast with my family.

"Morning, Dad, Mom!" I greet them.

"Morning, son!" they reply in unison.

"Morning, brother, Mom, Dad!" says my brother.

"Morning, sleepyhead!" I greet him back, along with Mom and Dad.

Soon, we all settle into our seats and start having breakfast.

"Well, Dad, you and Mom wanted to discuss something with me. What is it?" I ask mid-meal.

"Aaron, you're 26 now, and as you know, we’re not as young and energetic as we used to be. We want you to settle down and give us grandchildren soon," Dad says. I’m not shocked; I had a feeling they wanted to discuss this with me.

"Dad, you both know very well that I'm in love with Selena and only want to marry her. She’s not ready for marriage yet because of her acting career, but in a year or two, we’ll get married," I say.

"Aaron, I don’t want that girl as my daughter-in-law in the Gray family. She’s not capable of being the next lady of this family. I want someone responsible and worthy of this position, so your dad and I have chosen a girl for you, and you have to marry her," Mom says in a stern voice.

"But Mom..." I start, but Dad cuts me off.

"It's final, Aaron. You’re still not the CEO of Gray and Sons Co., and if you want this position, you’ll only get it if you marry the girl we've chosen. If not, I have other suitable employees for the role," he says with a stone-cold expression.

"Alright, Dad, do what you want, but it doesn’t mean I'm going to leave Selena," I say, matching his tone, and walk out without waiting for his reply.

Right now, I'm in my penthouse with Selena in my arms. We just had three rounds of passionate love-making.

She’s asleep in my arms, naked and peaceful. I’m looking at her with love when my phone vibrates—it’s a call from Dad.

I gently place her head on the pillow and move to the balcony attached to my room.

"Yes, Dad," I say.

"Aaron, I finalized your marriage for the day after tomorrow with the girl we selected. Get ready and tell that good-for-nothing girlfriend of yours!" he says with disdain.

"I’ll tell her, Dad. And please, don’t say anything about her. If you don’t like her, that’s not my problem, but I love her. Did you talk to the girl?" I ask.

"Yes, and she’s ready," he says.

"Okay," I say and disconnect the call.

"I’ll make you regret agreeing to this marriage, whoever you are," I think to myself as I return to my king-sized bed, where my love is sleeping peacefully. I lie down beside her, take her in my arms, and soon, sleep consumes me.
