Pei Ge did not want to believe that in Old lady Qu’s heart, those fake things were worth more than a life.

She was slightly moved. “Mom, when is Uncle coming over?”

“He’s still busy with something and might come over during Old master Qu’s birthday banquet.”

Zhang Manhua nodded her head. She saw Pei Ge turn around, walk up to the second floor of the house to pick up her things and her figure gave Zhang Manhua an illusion.

“Ge Ge.”

Just as she was about to reach the door, Pei Ge turned around and asked, “What’s wrong, Mom?”

“You really resemble your grandmother.”

Zhang Manhua said. Her daughter’s back view was surprisingly familiar.

“Then grandma must be a beauty. I have to inherit all her beautiful things so that I can surpass her.”

Pei Ge pursed her lips. She did not care about what her grandmother said. If not for her grandmother, if not for Zhang Manhua, she would not exist in this world.

“Be careful.”

Her mother smiled gently as she sat on the sofa. She was as beautiful as a painting.

She nodded and turned to leave the house.

Qu Xiujie had already parked his car at the entrance. When he saw Pei Ge walk out, he opened the passenger seat to let her get in first.

“She won’t.”

She looked at the road ahead and answered firmly.
