Kabanata 332 Ibinaba ni Elliot ang telepono nang may masamang tingin sa kanyang telepono, pagkatapos ay padabog na lumabas ng kanyang opisina.

Hindi lamang sinuman ang maaaring kumuha ng kanilang mga kamay sa mga tabletas sa pagtulog.

“Bumalik na si Avery?” Sabi ni Elliot, pinutol siya.

“Bumalik siya kaninang umaga,” sabi ni Mrs. Scarlet. “Wala siyang gustong gawin dito, pero nakiusap ako na tingnan niya si Shea dahil kanina pa niya sinasabi na mamamatay na siya. Sobrang nag-aalala ako.”

“Bakit hindi mo sinabi kay Zoe?”

Ang dahilan ni Elliot ay nagsimulang mabigla.

Nawala ang katinuan niya nang mabanggit ang pangalan ni Avery.

“Nakausap ko na si Doctor Sanford tungkol sa kondisyon ni Shea, ngunit sinabi niya na ito ay isang normal na reaksyon pagkatapos ng operasyon sa bawat oras,” malungkot na sabi ni Mrs. Scarlet.
