Kayleâs hand moved gracefully through the air once more. A strangely bright red flame blazed.
Raynon knew horribly what it was. It was âHellfireâ. It was also a fire used only to inflict pain and horror on the souls of felons out of control. Just the slight swipe of his finger leads to a bizarre experience that melts your body.
When this fire spreads to the whole body, he can not only see images and auditory hallucinations caused by extreme pain, but also vivid sensations of the skin being torn off one by one and the bones melting, as well as the internal organs being vomited out of the mouth.
Hellfire danced over Kayleâs hand and flew swiftly towards Raynon.
When his limbs fell off, Raynon groaned like a fish tossed to the ground. A scream erupted from his wide open eyes, but the sound was still. Because the voice had been sealed, he had to mutter inside, unable to let out a single moan of pain.
Kayle had deliberately sealed it so that Raynonâs scream could not be heard by Erina.
âThis is light compared to the horrors Erina must have suffered.â
Kayle didnât even blink an eye despite Raynonâs grotesque struggle. Kayle withdrew the sparks as the whites fell from Raynonâs eyes and he lost his consciousness.
Raynon breathed in rough breaths. The pain, having already had his limbs cut off, has long since been forgotten. The demons will not disappear unless the core in their heart was broken, but for that moment, it seemed as if he had reached the threshold of annihilation.
The surroundings were quiet. Kayleâs heavily sunken red eyes gazed impatiently at Raynonâs sprawling body. Raynon felt his throat tighten just by receiving that gaze from him.
His sharp gaze, which seemed to never end, was removed in an instant. Raynon looked up at him with difficulty raising his eyes to see Kayleâs grim expression.
Chillâ
Raynon unknowingly lowered his eyes to the floor. It was a survival instinct.
Kayle let out a low swear word and hurriedly teleported without a spell.
Kayle, who had left Raynon on the roof, came into the house. He immediately moved towards Erina, who was struggling with getting strangled.
He easily dispelled the magic tormenting her and caught her body falling from the air. Erinaâs complexion was pale. She was so frightened that her face was full of tears. He felt his heart fall to the ground with a thump.
Kayle, first, calmed Erinaâs body, which was shivering from fear.
âShh- itâs okay, itâs okay.â
He wrapped his arms around her body and ruffled her hair with an affectionate touch. Then, to his surprise, the gasp and unstable breathing began to be even with a constant beat.
By the time she regained her consciousness, Kayle cast a sleep spell to free her from the pain of reality. Her fading gray-blue eyes captured him.
âMerson?â
Kayle smiled sweetly at the familiar name she called softly.
âIâm sorry for putting you through this.â
Did she hear it or did she not⦠Erinaâs body continued to lose strength.
Kayle carefully laid Erina down on the bed. Then he flew as fast as light, grabbed Pierre by the collar, and hurled him out of the house.
âKu-ugh!â
Erina doesnât know, but Merson had magic engraved into her eyes as a âsafety deviceâ. It is activated when a threat is placed on Erinaâs body, so he can see exactly what she is looking at, and also know her location, making it easy to find her teleport coordinates.
When Raynon and Pierre first came to Sezaine, Kayle wondered what kind of harm they might do to Erina. He had it cast on her, just in case she was threatened and he was not there in a short time.
And Kayleâs guesses were turned into certainty through the murderous energy the two demons sent to Erina today.
Since he couldnât cast a barbaric magic on the two demons in front of Erinaâs eyes, he said that he would go to the Demon Kingâs Castle, and then he thought of dealing with them out of Erinaâs gaze. Because he didnât want to show his other side. To Erina, Kayle just wanted to remain as the innocent âMersonâ who had lost his memory.
However, he was interrupted by an unexpected circumstance. He didnât realize Pierre was going into the house where Erina was. It was because of her tears.
Kayleâs heart fluttered as he watched her cry, her shoulders shaking as she was left alone. As Raynon, the culprit of this incident, was in front of his eyes, all of the violent emotions and the anger erupted at Raynon. The moment she was captured for a moment, Erinaâs pain penetrated his mind, and he belatedly saved her.
Kayle came out of the house and slammed his fist at Pierre. Not by magic, but his body jumped first.
Wham! Wham wham!
The dull sound continued continuously. It was natural for blood to splatter, and the slimy flesh to fall off. Perhaps that wasnât enough there, Kayle flicked his finger once, and a red diagonal line was drawn on Pierreâs head, and it split as easily as he was tearing apart a piece of tissue paper.
His skull is split in half and whatâs inside pours out horribly. Pierre collapsed on the floor.
Rarely, words came out of Kayleâs mouth. A gloomy black wind gathered around him, and four huge pairs of wings rose from his back with the sound of âwhiip-â.
A red circle formed under Kayleâs outstretched hand as black feathers flew away. The circular circle emitted light and gradually expanded in size and soared high into the sky.
