(Him)

I’m walking with Logan toward Selina and Noah’s house for our daily training session. Asher is already there.

“So Lana moved into your room?” He asks me while we’re walking.

“Yep, even if I didn’t really let her the choice.”

“Well, she didn’t fight it either.”

“True but yesterday she came back super late. I think she was hoping I would be sleeping. She is getting close to your sister.”

“I know and it’s good because Mari needs that.” He replies.

“About Mari, do you find something different about her lately?” I ask him, thinking about Lana’s worries.

"My Luna..." My wolf sighs dreamily in my head, Which is annoying when you try to have a conversation. I mentally roll my eyes and it’s not his but our! So I shut him out.

“Not really. Not since Asher’s rejection.”

“Hmm...”

“What about your mate? Everything is alright with Angelina?” I ask him because he is avoiding the subject and I would like to know why.

He sighs: “I don’t know man...She is kind of avoiding me and I wish I could know why? Maybe she is disappointed to have me as her mate. I mean me and my big mouth didn’t give her the best first impression.” Now I can see how he’s worried about the situation.

“I’m sure it’s something else. You are a good man.” I tell him.

“Thanks, bro!” He says.

“You have to dig deep very deep to see it but still...” I tease him.

He gives me a finger but he’s smiling and it was my objective.

“She is scared that you will prefer your werewolf’s mate. Or that you will want to wait until you meet your other mate to be able to choose which one you prefer. ” Noah says joining us. He’s so fast that I don’t see him running toward us.

“She is scared that you will do what I did to Lina.” He adds.

“What did you do to Lina? I mean when I’m seeing you, you look like the perfect couple.” I ask, curious.

“I kind of rejected her. I didn’t want to be with her. How stupid I was. It took me to see her with another man to realize my mistake. Unfortunately, the damages were done and Lina freaked out when I met my other mate.”

“Wow...” I mutter. I would have never imagined that.

Noah looks at Logan and says: “Don’t make my mistake. Angelina is your perfect match, not your werewolf’s mate.”

“He doesn’t have a werewolf mate. Moon Goddess didn’t find his match so she concluded that he was mated to a Lycan.“A man who just appears in the middle of nowhere says. He made Logan and I jumped out of surprise. But Noah just rolled his eyes and he’s still relaxed even if he’s looking annoyed. So I don’t think we are in danger.

“Zac, what are you doing here?” Noah asks, clearly annoyed.

“I need your help with something.” Zac tells him.

“Why should I help you?” Noah replies.

“Please!” Zac begs and gives his hand to Noah who takes it.

“Fuck!” Noah mutters.

“Can you let Lina know that I will be back before tonight and with whom I went, please?” Noah asks us.

“Sure, no problem!” I reply. And they both disappear.

“I will never get used to it!” Logan says still looking at where Noah and that Zac guy were a few seconds ago.

“You better as your future Luna is a witch.”

We don’t speak the rest of the way until Lina’s house. When nobody is inviting us to enter, we go inside to find Lina and Asher fighting together. And Asher is very aggressive and wants Lina to be harder with him.

“We need to take a break, Ash. I’ve almost broken your leg.” Lina says.

“No break! I need to be ready for everything! I need to be the best to protect her!” I reply.

“What’s wrong with you? Next time I ask, it will be an order.” Lina asks him.

Asher sighs: “I had a dream last night, a nightmare actually. Someone was taking Lana away and there was nothing that I could do to stop him. It was awful.”

“But it was a dream! Just a dream!”

“I want to become a Lycan asap, Selina.” He tells her.

“Are you sure you’re doing it for the right reason?” She asks him.

“I want it. Do it, please.” He replies.

“Okay but let’s talk with Noah before.”

“It will be complicated, he went away with a guy named Zac.” Logan says and they both look at us, acknowledging our presence.

“Did you know they were here?” Ash asks Lina.

She rolls her eyes: “Of course! I heard them!”

“Did he tell you for how long he will be gone?” She asks us.

“A few hours.” Logan replies. She nods.

“Who is he?” I ask.

“A seer and he is annoying!” She sighs.

“He told Logan that he doesn’t have another mate.” I tell her.

“Good!” She smiles.

“That will help Angie. I have to tell her.” She adds.

“Where is she?” Logan asks.

“Shopping. She will be back soon.”

“Can I wait for her if she’s not back when we’ve finished our training?”

“You don’t even have to ask. Of course, you can, brother in law.”

“Fuck! My future sister in law is our future Queen!” He mutters , only realizing that now. Selina laughs.

“Wait until you meet my parents, aka the actual Queen and King.”

He gulps and whispers: “Double fuck!” I join Lina in her laugh.

“Can I be here, when he will meet them, please?” I ask her.

“Me too!” Asher says.

She nods: ” Can be arranged...”

I look at Asher and tell him: ” You know I will not let anyone take Lana away from me. I’m as worried as you’re but we need to team up to face the danger.”

“You’re right.” He replies.

“Do you want to become a Lycan soon too?” Lina asks me.

“No.”

“Why? I mean Asher is going to become one and if I don’t fuck up with my mate I will be one too, soon.” Logan asks me.

“Because I want to defeat that Alpha wolf to wolf. Not Lycan versus wolf. I want him to know I won fairly, that I’m stronger than him. I know stupid Alpha’s pride.” I explain.

“No, it’s very noble.” Lina comments.

“Moreover I would like to see Lana’s wolf one time at least before becoming a Lycan.”

“Do you know who he is?” Lina asks me and I know who she is speaking about.

“Not yet but I know what he looks like and his name. So it’s a matter of time. Actually, I’m meeting my father after the training to find which Alpha it is.”

“Please let me know. I will see what I can find about him too.” Lina replies.

“Okay.”

“Good, let’s train!” She says.

“Yes because we also have to train for Lana’s surprise too.” Asher says.

“What surprise?” Lina and Logan ask at the same time.

“I will explain to you after training.” I tell them.
