Everything is different and not at the same time... I can feel that my connection with my wolf is deeper even if he is not speaking to me anymore. My wolf... or should I say my Lycan now? I feel so different but I’m still me... This is so confusing!

“Do you think he will wake up soon?” Lana whispers. I hear her so well that it’s like she is speaking out loud.

“Why are you so loud?” I ask them, my eyes still close.

“How are you feeling? Why are you not opening your eyes?” Lana asks me and I feel her hand on my face.

The truth is I’m scared to discover a too different world.

“Not me but still me?” I reply more like it’s a question.

I open my eyes, at first everything is too bright but after a few seconds, I can see it’s still the same old world.

“Your change is not over yet. In the next few weeks, you will keep changing physically.” Selina tells me.

“Why? Tom and Noah didn’t change after they turned.” I ask.

“It’s because they were turned by their mates. They started to change, once they accepted their mates.”

“And you know I wait months for her to mark and turn me. Welcome to our world bro!“Noah says at the doors of the room.

Lana and I slept in Selina and Tom’s house last night. I was surprised that Ezra let Lana sleep here without him. Good thing I didn’t bet it with Noah because I would have lost.

“Why is Selina, who turned him? As the future king, you’re able to change it to?” Lana asks him.

“No, I can’t. And don’t think I will ever be able to. I kept my magic so I’m not enough Lycan to change someone.” He explains.

“Is it painful?” Lana asks me.

“It’s less painful when it’s your mate who turned you because your body started to change before.” Selina explains.

“Great!” Lana replies with sarcasm.

“Ezra can be the one who turns you if Selina turned him first.” I tell her.

Selina and Noah smirk. “Are you jealous?” Noah asks her.

“NO! Me, jealous?! Pfft! No way!” She shrugs.

She is totally jealous! Now I’m smirking too. Something moves inside me.

“Can I already turn into a Lycan or not yet?” I ask Selina.

She smiles: “Yes, you can. Do you want to go for a run?”

I nod.

Noah smirks:” Let see if now you can catch up with us.”

They both run out of the house and I follow them. I can follow them! Wow!

“Awesome! And now I’m alone!” I hear Lana complain as she was on my side.

Wait how do I turn? I look at my hand and my legs and I’m already changing. It’s even easier than in your wolf. It’s totally instinctive! That’s incredible!

I never felt so free! This is amazing. I was not able to catch Selina and Noah but I lost this objective pretty quick and I just wanted to enjoy nature and my freedom. When I can go back to the house, Lana is drinking tea outside. She prepared clothes for me as she knew I would probably tear mine turning. She is Waiting for us, for sure.

“Ash! Is that you?” She says when she realized I’m here.

I walk toward her. She looks so small and fragile. I kneel in front of her.

“You’re so beautiful!” She whispers.

“My Luna!” I tell her. My voice is deeper than usual.

“Fuck!” Logan says on our side. He’s with Ezra. Ezra growls at me and comes in front of Lana.

“Don’t come near!” He tells me.

“Ezra! It’s Ash! Everything is okay!” Lana says pushing him.

“He was just turned! How can you be sure that he is in control?” He tells her and she rolls her eyes.

“He is one with his beast now. He’s always in control.” She tells him while I go behind a tree with the clothes Lana took for me and turn back in my human form.

“Sorry, my wolf was worried about his mate’s safety.” Ezra tells me when I join them again.

“I know. Don’t worry.” I reply.

“So how is it to become a Lycan? Do you feel different?” He asks me.

“I feel the same but more powerful. Your aura is not disturbing me anymore. Even earlier when you used your Alpha voice.”

“That could be a problem. How can I and my father be sure you will follow our rules? Or you will follow Logan’s orders?”

“I want to stay where Lana belongs and I will do everything needed for that.” I explain. Lana sighs, for sure thinking about the dream she had, a few days ago.

“And it will be temporary as you both will become Lycans too.” I add.

“True. Is it painful?” Logan asks me.

“It was a bit but Selina told me it’s less painful when it’s your mate who turns you.” I reply.

“Really? Then maybe I should be turned first.” Ezra comments.

“Nope, no, no, no!” Lana says shaking her head.

“Why?” Ezra asks her, confused by her replies.

“Because only Selina can turn you into a Lycan.”

“And?” He asks again not seeing the problem.

“She will not sink her teeth in you!”

It’s funny to see her jealous. It’s a part of her that I have never seen before.

Logan smirks: “If I knew you better I would say you’re jealous.”

“Pfff! Bullshit!!!”

Ezra smiles:” You kind of sound like you’re jealous. I like that!”

“You’re all crazy!” She says before going back inside the house.

“Yep! She was totally jealous!” I confirm.

Ezra smirks and does a small victory’s dance before following her inside. If you can call that a dance. We really need to work on that!

Mates are so cute... Speaking about mates makes me think about mine. My beast is lurking to see Mariana. Why??? I stop Logan before he enters.

“Where is your sister? I need to check something.” I ask Logan.

“She left on Wednesday morning.”

The morning after she accepted my rejection.

“Look, she is trying to move on and it’s hard. I promised her I will not tell you and I will keep my promise. I understand why you rejected her. “Are you alright?” Noah asks me.

“She is my true mate, isn’t she?” I ask Selina. I know they heard our discussion.

“Yes she’s but as a Lycan, you can choose to mate someone else.” She tells me.

This is a sick joke! I’m not okay with her being my true soulmate but I’m not okay with the idea to be mated to someone else either...
