“I beg your pardon?” I ask Hope. I’m still behind Ezra’s back and he refuses to take her hand.

“I’m your Godmother, Olivia. And here to protect you.” She repeats.

A portal opens and Selina, Noah, Ash, and Mari join us. They are in Hope’s back.

“Don’t go near!” Mari growls at her before coming by my side too. She is followed by Ash. Since they’re fully mated, she is overprotective with me. Sometimes I’m asking myself who is really my Gamma, her or Ash...

“Great, I even have a welcoming committee!” Hope says rolling her eyes.

“Calm down Lycan, I’m here in peace and I don’t want to hurt you in your condition.” She adds looking at Mari.

“What condition?” Ash asks.

“Hope? Is that you?” Selina says at the same time as Ash.

“Selina! How nice to see you again!” She smiles at Selina.

“Do you know her?” Noah asks her.

“Of course! She’s my mother’s right hand in Europe!” Selina explains.

“Right... Now I remember I heard about that...” Noah mutters.

“See! Don’t need to be so defensive!” Hope comments.

“Wait, what condition?” Ash asks again.

“You don’t know? Maybe it’s because I’m an elemental that I’m already feeling it?” Hope mutters.

“Feeling what?” Mari asks, anxious.

“Answer the question!” Ash adds ready to lose his temper.

“I wanted to let you the surprise but you asked for it. I feel the life growing in her. Congratulations, you will be parents really soon.” She replies.

“What? How? That’s impossible!” Mari replies, becoming white.

“Did you use protection when you mate?” I ask her.

“We didn’t really think about it. Why? did you?” She replies.

“Duh! Of course, we did!”

“Well, we were so focused on our mating that we didn’t think about using protection...” Ash replies.

“And we’ve mated and mated... Non-spot!” He mutters. When he realized he said it out loud, he turned red.

“Amen...This is nice but maybe we should go talking in a more private place. Let’s go back in the pack.” Ezra proposes.

"And like that, I will check what an elemental is!" I hear his thoughts in our mate bond. He should have really listened to his history classes.

"It means she can manipulate the elements, like earth, water, fire..." I reply.

"Thank you! ” He says.

“Yes, you’re right.” Selina replies.

“I need to clean my mess before and I still have a witch to handle.” Hope says.

“Do you trust her?” Ezra asks me. I shook my head lightly.

“Yeah, me neither!” He adds.

Knox arrives just at the moment.

“Sorry, Alpha asshole was at home! I couldn’t come earlier but I felt you were in trouble. Are you okay?” He tells me, checking me to see if I’m fine. he then looks at Hope. His face is blanked and for a few seconds, everything is silent.

“You!” He says before hugging her.

What?! How?! Apparently, everybody knows her but me!

“Knox, you’ve grown into a hot man!” She comments looking at him, head to toe.

“Hope...” He just replies smiling.

“You remember me!” She says looking happy.

“How could I have forgotten? I mean I did forget but not anymore.” He replies.

“How do you know her?” I ask, surprised by his reactions and actions.

“She’s the one who saved you from the fire that day.” He explains.

“What?!” I say shocked.

“ I will explain later. Let me clean and handle the witch before.” Hope says.

“What witch?” Knox asked.

So I explain everything that has happened for the last hour, while Hope is burying the bodies. Let me tell you that when you can control the earth it’s pretty easy and fast to bury someone. She’s doing it without breaking a sweat! Knox decides to go speak to the witch.

“She is not lying. Her mate is a prisoner of Alpha Asshole. His prison is a terrible place, all the werewolves detained there are taking wolfsbane every day.”

“We have two possiblities: we let him believe that she died during the attack or we destroy the prison.” Hope says.

“The first solution is more simple.” Selina comments

“But her mate will know she’s not dead. We need to block their bond.” I say.

“We need to let him know then or he will let himself die.” Hope says.

“I can do it, I just need to know what he looks like.” Knox says.

“Is it dangerous for you?” I ask him.

“No, I know where I have to go and I can mask my smell. It’s a piece of cake.” He replies.

“Okay, we do like that. I will bring the witch with me.” Hope says.

“No, she will stay with us.” Ezra interjects.

“Fine with me.” Hope shrugs.

“What about her body? If someone comes to check they will know a body is missing.” Noah says.

“Don’t worry. There will be a body. Let me handle it.” Hope replies.

Ash and Mari didn’t move a lot and are not with us right now. I think they are both shocked by the news of her pregnancy. Damn! I can’t believe they will be parents soon! Oh!!! I’m going to be an aunt. If I’m not the godmother, I will choose another Gamma!

It’s incredible how Lycans can look like status when they are in shock. Maybe I should do something but what? And at the same time, I really want to know more about Hope.

“Hey! Are you going to be okay?” I ask them.

“I don’t know. I want kids but not now, not when our issues are not all fixed. ” Ash says.

“I know!! I want kids too but not before to have time with you, alone. I mean I don’t want to share you with anybody...” Mari replies.

“Oh, my goddess! I’m going to be a terrible mother if I’m already thinking like this!” She adds hiding her face in her hands.

“You will be a great mother! Maybe it’s happening earlier than we wanted but I also think it’s the best proof of our love.” Asher tells her, taking her in his arms.

“I think you will be a better parent than me. You’re so kindhearted and sweet! He or she is really lucky!” Mari comments.

“Actually, I’m the lucky one. With you by my side, everything is possible. I love you Asher and you’re right our baby is the perfect gift from our love and we’re going to be fine. I can already imagine the perfect mix of us, running everywhere!” She adds smiling.

Ash groans: “Your parents are going to kill me!”

“Bro, you’re a Lycan they are werewolves... They can’t kill you!” Ezra tells him.

“Logan could kill you through...” He thinks.

“Say it out loud and I will be the one killing you!” I tell him.

He looks at me with worries. I look around and everything is clean.

“Let’s go home!” I say. Ezra asks the warriors to bring back the car, while I open a portal to the packhouse.

Once we’re all in a meeting, Alpha Eli, Luna Charlize, and Beta Leo have joined us, I turn around Hope.

“I want the truth now!” I tell her.

“Let me show you.” She replies.

I nod.

“Wait! My parents and Noah’s parents want to join us!” Selina says.
