I don’t know what to think anymore. It’s a lot to take in one day. Ezra just left with his parents and I know Alpha Will is going to challenge him. As if the day couldn’t get any worse.

“Now, I understand why you asked to block her memories until Alpha William’s death,” Melinda tells Hope.

“ All the precautions possible had to be taken. She had sworn on her life. She didn’t do anything as you’re the one who did all the spell and as she doesn’t remember yet there is nothing she can tell Alpha William or Bill.” Hope replies.

“I need to explain everything to Jonas... How will I break the news?” Knox sighs.

“I told you we will do it together.” I tell him.

“I know but how do we start?!” He replies.

“Maybe it will be simple for him to meet us all. Do you think he can come here?” Melinda asks Knox.

“Yes, he can. He just has to wait for the right moment.” He replies eagerly. For him, it’s a lot to take so I can feel how grateful he’s to have to explain the situation to Jonas alone.

“Great! I can wait to bond with him too!” She tells him.

“Peanuts, when you asked me about the spell to block a bond. It’s for Olivia, isn’t it?” Melinda asks Noah.

“Don’t call me that! I'm the future king!” Noah protests annoyed.

Alistair smirks: ” You will always be our peanut, king or not.”

Noah rolls his eyes before replies to his mother: “Yes, I don’t want her to suffer when Ezra will kill him.”

Oh great! Now I will suffer when he will be dying! Does anyone have any other bad news?

“Are you okay sweetheart?” Hope asks me.

“I don’t know. It’s a lot to take...” I reply.

“Mate!” My wolf sighs in my head, she is longing for him as much as I do. Why is it taking so long?

As he felt our longing, Ezra just came back. I walk toward him and hug him. My wolf sighs in relief to be in his arms again.

“It’s done. He challenged me. And we both want it done as soon as possible.” He tells everyone.

“Good! This will be done soon then. You still need to stay on your guard, just in case.” The queen says.

“I will stay until then.” Hope says. I can see that annoys Ezra. She invites herself without asking for their permission.

“We have a house not far from here, you can stay over there if you want.” Selina proposes to her.

" Jonas will be coming late this afternoon. Is it good for you all?” Knox asks as I spoke with Jonas through their brother bond. It’s good to be half witches!

“Sure. I have nothing planned. I just need to call my mate if I can borrow a phone?” Hope says.

“We are free too.” Melinda says while Alistair nods.

“We have to go but Meli I count on you to keep us updated.” The Queen says which Melinda replies by the affirmative.

“Great. I think everything was said for now. My mate needs some rest so we will go. Let’s meet again when Jonas is here.” Ezra says pushing out before anyone can speak.

Once we are in our room, he looks at me.

“How do you feel, beautiful?” He asks and I can feel how he is worrying for me.

“I didn’t expect that... I mean for me, my parents were bad guys, and now... I don’t know what to think anymore. When I look at you when I think about how I love you... I would do anything for you... I would have been as desperate as my mother was if your life was in danger. And this freaking me out. What if Alpha Will uses the strategy against you? I will be begging him too to spare your life. Goddess, it was more simple to hate them for what they did. Now I don’t know what to think anymore...” I reply.

“I feel sorry for your parents too but it’s their story, not ours. We will never end like that because you will shield my body before anybody would sink his claws in my chest.” He replies back.

He’s right! He would never stop me from using my magic. He is so perfect and hot! I’m totally turned on and my wolf is not helping. Not that I mind as we’re in the same mood.

“Make love to me!” I order.

“What? You don’t want to speak more about that?” He asks, surprised.

“Right now no. All I need is you deep inside me. So shut up and fuck me!” I reply.

He smirks: ” Your wish is my command, my Luna!”

Jonas is shaken by what happened to our parents. And he doesn’t know if he wants to challenge our father anymore.

“I think you still should. Mom and he are miserable. Maybe if they don’t have any responsibilities about the pack, they could rebuild their relationship.” Knox says.

Jonas shakes his head: “ No. They will never be happy together. I always thought they were never happy together. To know they loved each other and were happy is a big surprise for me.”

“You don’t think they are true mates then?” I ask him.

Selina replies instead: ” No, I don’t think they are or they would have found a way to go through this, to forgive themselves. True mates always find a way, love always win between them.”

“Then maybe we should push them to split.” Knox says.

“I agree!” Hope adds.

“It’s their life. It has to be their decision, not yours.” Melinda protests.

“They are both miserable! Your sister is not happy. How can you say that?!” Hope replies offended.

“You’re in a good position to know that. I’m sure you tried to change my sister’s mind without any success! She has to decide for herself.”

“Emmett...” Selina whispers.

“What? What about him, Sunshine?” Noah asks her.

She looks at Hope: “Do you think they have met before?”

“Emmett is your father’s former Beta, right?”

Selina nods.

“No, they never met as far as I know.” Hope replies.

“Your parents will be here for the Challenge?” Selina asks my brothers.

“Yes, they will.” Jonas confirms.

“Good, I need to pass a call. I will meet you later if you don’t mind.” She says.

Alpha Elijah nods so she leaves the room followed by Noah.

Luna Charlize looks at Jonas and asks: ” Alpha Will, how are his fighting skills?”

“He’s a good fighter but after seeing Ezra fight against Knox, I can assure you Ezra is from far a better fighter.” Jonas tells her, giving her the comfort she needs. Like me, she’s worried about the challenge.

“I will be fine mom. I have the best reason to fight, my mate.” Ezra tells her.

“Still, I don’t like that...” She sighs.

“Me neither!” I add.

“I know but it’s the price of your freedom, our freedom. Once he’s dead, we will have our happy ending.” He tells me.
