Chapter 1038
The Protector levi garrison
âI do! Human lives are more important than reputation, and weâre talking about my Masterâs own flesh and blood. No matter how you put it, Masterâs blood runs in that boyâs veins.â
Dexter remained headstrong.
âIâll kill you!â roared Olivia before she grabbed a sword in the study and swung it toward Dexter.
The butler shut his eyes and was ready to die when Tyrone shouted, âNo!â
Dexter smiled when Tyrone stopped Olivia because he knew his Master well.
Tyrone was by no means a good man.
He was cruel and ruthless, or else he would not have left his own flesh and blood to die in the wild.
Master did not stop Olivia merely to save my life.
Why would he? He has never once treated us like human beings. Weâre merely slaves, and our lives do not matter to him.
âWhy did you stop me? Heâs useless to us!â shouted Olivia fiercely.
âWhat are we going to tell Father if youâve killed him? How will we explain ourselves?â
Dexter smiled because he knew that there was a reason that his master had kept him alive.
The butler was to be their scapegoat.
âYouâre right. Whatâs happened has happened. Now, weâll have to explain ourselves, so we can hand him over to the clan. Heâll suffer our harshest punishment!â
âHeâll pay for breaking the rules. Thereâs no way that heâll live,â stated Tyrone as he stared coldly at the butler.
âNo, I canât wait that long.â
Olivia could not contain herself.
âThen, cut off his arms,â suggested Tyrone cruelly, so Olivia lifted the sword once again before swinging it down decisively.
âArgh!â
Dexter cried aloud, left in excruciating pain.
âBetter, Olivia? If not, you still have the legs.â
The Garrisons had no problem when it came to toying with human lives, especially the lives of lowly servants.
âIâm good. So what shall we do about the b*tch and the bastard?â inquired Olivia.
âI want nothing more than to kill the two, but now is not the right time. If we do it now, weâll become a joke to the world.â Tyrone sighed.
Olivia nodded in agreement. âYouâre right. The world is watching us now. If we make a move now, weâll risk tarnishing our reputation in Erudia and the entire East side of the world.
âSeeing as such, what else can we do?â
Tyrone was in distress.
âIf all else fails, maybe weâll ask him to join us. Itâs safer that way,â suggested a servant. Unfortunately, as soon as he was done speaking, he got slapped by Olivia.
âAre you seriously suggesting that we should allow the bastard to become one of us? What right does the bastard have to step inside of this house? Iâll never agree to it, and I donât think the clan will either,â shouted Olivia, utterly infuriated.
âThatâs right. Heâll never be worthy of joining us. At least, not with his current identity. If he wants to become a part of us, heâs got to earn it. Iâll only allow him to join us once the clan recognizes his strength,â agreed Tyrone.
