Chapter 1640
The Protector levi garrison
Raising his voice, Levi sent a chill down everyoneâs spine.
Especially Severus and Rico, whose legs trembled in fear.
Rico quickly retracted his hand from the key.
Although the key was right in front of them, they could only stare at it. They didnât have the courage to go for it.
That was how intimidating Leviâs presence was.
No one dared to disobey his order even though he was just a civilian.
âL-Levi, whatâs the meaning of this? Why are you interfering in the Dragonitesâ business?â Severus asked with a trembling voice.
âDoes this only relate to the Dragonites? This matter relates to Erudia and involves every single citizen!â
âYou should just leave. I wonât release him. If youâre not willing to stand up for Erudia, I will!â
âErudians are not afraid of anyone. Any foreigner that commits a crime here will have to suffer the consequences!â
Levi stated his stand clearly.
âLevi, youâre crazy!â
âI donât believe it. Iâm going to unlock the cage and let him go. Letâs see what youâre going to do about it!â
Steeling his resolve, Severus grabbed the key and walked toward the cage.
âBe my guest!â
Levi laughed.
Clink!
Severus opened the cage door to let Byron out.
âMr. Johnston, youâre free and in safe hands now.â
Severus smiled.
Byron almost cried tears of gratitude when he was finally released.
However, he saw Levi approach him.
Byronâs heart sank while his expression drastically changed.
âW-What are you doing?â
Severus asked subconsciously when he sensed Leviâs murderous intent.
Bam!
Ignoring Severus, Levi slammed a kick into Byronâs body, sending him flying several meters back.
Jumping onto Byron, Levi began hammering him with his fist, causing him to squeal in misery.
Rico and Severus were bewildered.
âHow dare you leave without my permission? Did you think that I was kidding when I threatened to dismantle your metal frame?â
Leviâs eyes widened as he glared fiercely at Byron.
âNo, I did not. I believe you!â
Byron nodded rapidly.
âGet back into the cage!â Levi shouted.
Byron quickly slipped back into his cage and even closed the door himself.
âWhatâ¦â
Severus and Rico were stunned.
Why is Byron so terrified of Levi?
After all, he is a Supreme class fighter while Levi is just a civilian.
Nevertheless, they were still shocked by how ruthless Levi was.
âLevi, how insolent can you be? How dare you beat up Mr. Johnston? Are you trying to create conflict on purpose?â
âExactly! The Dragonites have ordered him to be released. This no longer concerns you!â
âLevi, youâre just a civilian and have no right to interfere with Dragonitesâ business. Stop messing around. We have to take him with us today!â
Severus and Rico asserted their stand.
Levi returned to his seat and waved his hand. âWhatever. Heâs right there. Go ahead and take him.â
Rico and Severus returned to the cage and opened it.
âMr. Johnston, letâs go. We will escort you,â both of them offered with a smile.
âNoâ¦â
However, Byron shook his head vehemently as he curled further into his cage.
Looking at Levi in horror, he didnât dare come out at all.
âThisâ¦â
Severus and Rico were flabbergasted.
âCome out now, Mr. Johnston. He wonât dare hurt you.â
Both of them insisted on getting him out.
