Chapter 307
The Protector levi garrison
The person seated before the God of War, Liam Macy, was his son, Nathan Macy.
Nathan Macy was different from his father. He was a domineering man who would resort to violence, in order to resolve every issue he faced.
Nathan would have taken control of the North Hamptonâs underworld, obliterating people such as Jack Smith, if not for Liamâs restrictions.
He did not fancy staying in the outskirts, but he had to obey his fatherâs command.
Nathan was playing chess with Liam at that moment.
A young man dressed lavishly approached Liam all of a sudden. âAre the two of you playing chess, grandpa, father?â
âYouâre here, Andy.â Liam gazed up at his grandson, Andy Macy, with affection.
Liam had established Macy Group, a corporation involved in over a dozen industries, in recent years to legalize their familyâs business.
Liam cared deeply for his grandson, even going as far as to treating Andy as his heir.
That was the reason behind Andyâs arrogant and self-centered personality. It had caused him to frequently stir up trouble.
Andy glanced at Liam and announced, âGrandpa, Iâd noticed your deteriorating health recently. Hence, Iâve arranged for a surprise for you!â
Nathan and Liam gazed at Andy curiously. âOh? Whatâs the surprise?â
âYou should be aware of Benny Quintonâs arrival in North Hampton, I suppose?â Andy asked.
âYes, we do.â
âIâve invited Benny Quinton over to our house so that he can examine grandpa, father, and motherâs health conditions!â Andy answered with excitement.
Liam and Nathan were surprised after listening to Andy. âWhat? Youâve invited Benny Quinton? He has never accepted any invitations, as far as Iâm concerned. Heâd even rejected Winston Gonzales and the others!â
Andy smiled. âThatâs right. Heâs indeed a stubborn old man. I canât believe heâd wanted grandpa to visit the hospital and wait for your turn! With our status, he should be coming to us!â
Liam sensed something from Andyâs words. He could not help but ask, âSo?â
âIâve brought him here by force since heâs unwilling to cooperate with us!â Andy pronounced cheerfully.
Nathan nodded. âThatâs right. That old and stubborn fool is too arrogant. Your decisions are absolutely correct, son!â
However, Liam frowned. âThis could be troublesome. Iâm afraid that something bad will happen since we are talking about Benny Quinton, after all.â
âWhatâs there to be afraid of, father? We havenât done anything wrong anyway. We are only inviting him to attend to your sickness. Weâve paid our respects to him, even though we were using a rather extreme method to invite him over.â
Nathan did not think that there was anything wrong with Andyâs way of handling the matter because of his assertive nature. He even thought that it was a polite way of inviting Benny over to their house.
Andy nodded. âFather is right, grandpa! We are not harming Benny Quinton in any manner. I am sure that he will be delighted after we pay him a huge amount of treatment fees for his effort.â
Liam was convinced. âYouâve got a point there. Moreover, why do I have to be afraid? Itâs not wrong for me to invite him over. No one has the right to reject the Macy familyâs invitation in this world!â
Benny was brought over to âthe War Godâs Mansionâ, swiftly after.
âHey, old man Ben! Hurry up and conduct a health checkup for my grandpa. Iâll reward you handsomely if your treatment is effective!â Andy sneered, with his hands tucked inside his pockets.
To his dismay, Benny merely regarded him with a cold stare.
âOh my, whatâs the matter? Are you unhappy because we arenât paying you in advance? In that case, Iâll give you some money immediately. Then, I will top up the rest of the amount after youâre done with the treatment. I can even build a private hospital for you!â Andy jeered at Benny.
Nathan came to a halt in front of Benny. âI am terribly sorry to have brought you here by force, Mr. Quinton. But you will receive a lot of benefits if you attend to my fatherâs sickness.â
Benny shook his head. âI refuse to do so. Iâm not attending to anyoneâs sickness!â
Momentary silence filled the air after he spoke.
