Chapter 33

Feels like a dream

Love's unexpected turns

The wedding of Sky and Nani was more than a union of two souls; it was a celebration that brought kingdoms together, a grand event that the world would talk about for years to come. Every detail, from the suits to the vows, was meticulously planned, and through it all, their love for each other shone brighter than anything else.

---

The journey to the altar began with the perfect suits. Nani, ever the perfectionist, had insisted on something unique yet meaningful. Sky, on the other hand, was happy with anything that made Nani happy.

They spent a day with the kingdom’s top designers, going through endless fabrics and styles. Nani chose a royal blue suit embroidered with delicate gold accents, the design inspired by the night sky to honor Sky’s name. It shimmered under the light, almost as if the stars themselves had descended to bless him.

Sky’s suit, on Nani’s insistence, was jet black with silver embroidery, representing strength and stability. The silver details on his lapels matched the subtle gold on Nani’s, symbolizing how their lives were now intertwined.

As Sky adjusted his suit in front of the mirror, he turned to Nani with a teasing grin. “Are you sure you’re not trying to outshine me, Your Highness?”

Nani rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide the soft smile on his lips. “It’s not my fault I’m naturally radiant, Sky. But don’t worry; you’ll look decent enough standing next to me.”

“Decent?” Sky laughed, stepping closer and wrapping an arm around Nani’s waist. “I’ll show you decent.” He leaned in, and Nani flushed, lightly pushing him away with a huff.

---

Both Sky and Nani had separate bachelor parties planned by their friends. Sky’s was a lively night filled with laughter, drinks, and a friendly combat competition that ended with Sky showing off his unmatched skills. Even in the middle of all the teasing and fun, his thoughts kept drifting back to Nani.

Nani’s party, on the other hand, was more refined, filled with wine, heartfelt toasts, and his closest friends. Despite the festivities, Nani spent most of the night daydreaming about the wedding, his heart fluttering every time he thought of walking down the aisle to Sky.

Win, ever the observant friend, smirked as he caught Nani zoning out. “Thinking about your future husband, aren’t you?”

Nani rolled his eyes but couldn’t suppress his grin. “Shut up, Win.”

---

The morning of the wedding dawned bright and clear, as though the universe itself was blessing the day. The palace was transformed into a fairytale wonderland, with white roses, gold accents, and delicate twinkling lights adorning every corner.

As the ceremony approached, Nani stood in front of a full-length mirror, dressed in his royal blue suit. He looked breathtakingly beautiful, his hair styled to perfection, his face glowing with happiness.

Win stood beside him, adjusting Nani’s lapel with a fond smile. “You look ethereal,” he said softly. “Sky’s going to cry when he sees you.”

Nani laughed, though his hands trembled slightly. “I think I might cry first.”

Meanwhile, Sky stood at the altar, dressed in his black suit, his broad shoulders exuding strength. But his hands clenched nervously as he waited for Nani. When the music began, signaling Nani’s arrival, Sky’s breath caught in his throat.

Nani appeared at the end of the aisle, arm-in-arm with the queen. He looked otherworldly, like an angel descending from the heavens. The soft gold embroidery on his suit caught the light, and his eyes sparkled with unshed tears as he locked gazes with Sky.

Sky felt a lump form in his throat, his vision blurring as tears welled up. He had seen Nani beautiful countless times, but this—this was beyond anything he could have ever imagined.

As Nani walked closer, Sky wiped at his eyes, laughing through his tears. “You’re going to make me cry before the vows, Nani.”

Nani reached him, his own eyes glistening. “You’re already crying, you idiot.”

The whole room chuckled softly, the warmth and love between them palpable.

---

When it came time for the vows, Sky spoke first, his voice steady despite the tears streaming down his face.

“Nani,” he began, his tone filled with reverence. “From the moment I met you, you turned my world upside down. You taught me what it means to love, to hope, to dream. You are my everything—my light, my strength, my reason for being. Today, I promise to protect you, to cherish you, and to love you for all the days of my life.”

Nani’s voice trembled as he replied. “Sky, you’ve always been more than just my bodyguard. You’re my protector, my confidant, my best friend, and my greatest love. I’ve never felt safer, happier, or more loved than when I’m with you. I promise to stand by you, to support you, and to love you with all my heart, forever.”

By the time they exchanged rings, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

---

The reception was a grand affair, filled with music, dancing, and an endless array of food. Sky and Nani shared their first dance as a married couple under a canopy of stars, the world around them fading away as they held each other close.

“You’re staring,” Nani murmured, his cheeks flushing.

Sky grinned, pulling him closer. “Can you blame me? You’re the most beautiful person in the world, Nani. And you’re mine.”

Nani rolled his eyes but leaned into Sky’s embrace, his heart bursting with happiness.

The celebration spilled onto the streets, where citizens danced and cheered in honor of their beloved prince and his new husband. Social media was abuzz with pictures and videos of the wedding, the hashtag #SkyAndNaniRoyalWedding trending worldwide. News outlets called it the wedding of the century, praising the couple’s love story and the joy they brought to everyone around them.

---

As the night came to an end, Sky and Nani slipped away from the festivities, hand in hand. They stood on the balcony of their suite, overlooking the glowing kingdom below.

“This feels like a dream,” Nani whispered, resting his head on Sky’s shoulder.

Sky pressed a kiss to his temple. “It’s real. And it’s ours.”

Nani looked up at him, his eyes filled with love. “I love you, Sky.”

“I love you more,” Sky replied, leaning down to capture Nani’s lips in a tender kiss.

In that moment, surrounded by the love of their families and the happiness of their kingdom, they knew they had found their forever.
