Emmett walked over and pulled the blanket away. “Are you planning to suffocate yourself?”

“Emmett, you can’t do this!”

“Do you think this is too much?” Emmett gently blew in her ear, causing Clara to shiver “I have something else to do, I need to leave!” Clara said, trying to leave.

Emmett reached out and pulled her back.

“Ive booked a flight home, we should get going! Get ready”

Clara hesitated momentarily, “Are we returning with your other child?”

“Of course! I haven’t met him yet. Would you like to go with me?”

“Is that okay? It’s your first time meeting your son, isn’t it inappropriate for me to be there?” She was worried about Alex seeing her, which could complicate things.

“You’ll be his mother soon, what’s inappropriate about that?” Emmett was a bit worried thinking about his other child.

Emmett hadn’t met the child for many years or had any emotional bond. If he suddenly left his mother, would he fall sick?
