At last, the plane landed on home soil.

Once Clara and Alex deplaned, they saw Ricardo’s car waiting for them on the tarmac.

Alex asked in a low voice, “Mom, can I see Aiden soon?

“Yes, we’re going to see him now.

“Will Aiden like me?” Alex was still worried about missing the previous appointment Clara didn’t understand his concern, so she gently reassured him, ‘Don’t worry, your brother is a good kid, he’ll take good care of you”

“But…”

“As long as you get along with him, there will be no problem. You guys are real brothers, twins; you’re closely related by blood”

“So if I do something wrong, will he forgive me?” Alex looked up, testing the waters.

That’s when Clara realized something was off with her son.

He wasn’t a kid who quickly got scared unless he’d done something wrong.

“Tell me, what did you do to Aiden?”

Alex lowered his head. “Well that time… he asked me out, I didn’t go, I didn’t follow his plan…I’m afraid he’ll be angry, he won’t talk to me anymore. Because if someone did that to me, I wouldn’t talk to them either.”

Exasperated, Clara lightly tapped his head, “You, kid! You’re such a headache! When you see him later, apologize sincerely, he probably won’t be mad anymore. You know this might upset him, so don’t repeat it.”

Alex nodded earnestly.

Emmett came over, seeing them whispering, he asked with a smile, “What are you guys talking about?”

“Nothing, Alex was just asking me some things about you.” Although not good at lying. Clara quickly changed the subject, “So…where are we going later? Can I go back to my old place first?”

“Did you forget to bring something?”

Clara shook her head, “I just feel me suddenly showing up at your place might not be too good. I want to buy some stuff; that way will seem more polite”

“You’re worrying over nothing? I’ve prepared everything Emmett took her hand, “Just follow me, you don’t need to worry about anything else. My parents aren’t that strict; as long as I’m happy, they won’t object.”

“No buts! You’re back now; you’re part of our family, my only wife!; you don’t need to care what others think. Even if my parents say something that upsets you, you can argue back, don’t hold back.”

“How can I do that? They’re my elders! They’ve been very good to me, I haven’t been wronged” Clara said, looking down, “But at the company, we should keep a low profile; I don’t want everyone to know our private affairs.”

Emmett raised his hand, patting her head gently. “You don’t need to overthink; I’ll handle everything!

Now that I have Alden and Alex with me, they both like you very much, my biggest worry is resolved, I don’t consider everything else big problems.”
